Pit Stop has always been there for me since my college days. They are people I can trust. For example, I told them that I may need to have my wipers replaced because a friend made that recommendation. The staff asked me if the wipers had been doing their job when it was raining, and I said yes, and he told me that I did not need to replace them then. Their pricing is also affordable. I really have no reason to look elsewhere for repairs and replacements, unless they suggest it themselves, which has happened before when they mentioned a sensor issue that may need to be handled at another shop or dealership. Their waiting area is nice too. They have a decent amount of seats, a television playing in the corner, a candy dispenser, and a bathroom, so I can comfortably get a lot done on my laptop while waiting. I was in a jam and needed a new water pump for a 2015 Honda CRV back in Sept2021 and my car would not make it to the dealership. Paid about $500. A year and a half later, I'm in for a fluid change at a Honda Dealership and they showed me the water pump is leaking because of after-market parts. Now it's another $600 repair. Use these people at your own risk or for minor repairs... bunch of chumps running a classic car shop where they overcharge everyone. read more

I had my oil changed today and instead of using my card I stop to the atm to get cash. Went to pay and the rude guy taking the payments look at the bills and says "did you print enough for me"? I did not appreciate that rude comment and will never return. Put 6000 miles on the oil change sticker (for full synthetic oil) unlike their competitor down the road who convinced me to pay for full synthetic because it lasts longer and then still put 3000 miles on the sticker. I would like to report a case of selective amnesia that has suddenly afflicted the GOOSE CREEK Pit Stop. I have a vehicle that is in need of a timing chain. The vehicle has over a 100k, in terms of mileage. In talking to "Dave" as well as the mechanic that originally worked on the car, I voiced my concern that with the amount of miles on the car, it would be better to replace all the associated parts, as well as the timing chain. They were in agreement. I explained that I wanted to order a kit from RockAuto, that was an OEM replacement. I asked about labor and was told 6 - 7 hours. My response was, "No problem, I will order the part today and bring the car in when the part arrives. I was told; "NO PROBLEM!" I ordered the part ($294.00) and added an additional $30.00 to get it delivered in three days. The part arrived a little after 9 this morning, and I called GOOSE CREEK PIT STOP; only to discover that selective amnesia had set in. No one remembered talking to me less than 72 hours before, no one knew where "Dave was," and the mechanic swore he never talked to me about the part I was going to supply. His statement, and I quote; "WE NEVER USE OWNER SUPPLIED PARTS!" This is the part that I found the most intriguing as I recalled another customer in the shop the same day as I (12/19/2019) who needed a starter for her car replaced, who specifically stated that she had already purchased a starter. The mechanic told her to bring it in. I would just like to add that the original work done on the car by goose creek pit stop was to replace an inside door handle on this same vehicle. It was done with an OWNER SUPPLIED PART. Thinking about this further, my wife did bring the car in to replace the door handle, with the OWNER SUPPLIED PART and the work was done...just as the woman with the OWNER SUPPLIED STARTER. Maybe there is a pattern here! read more

Brought my minivan in for a oil change and was taken right away, staff was friendly and didn't try to sell me any items I didn't need. My only compliant was they charge you a 3.75% fee for paying With debit or credit. I ended up paying with cash and will bring cash next time I go back. I have been taking my Ford explorer here for years to get the oil changed. The men that work there are always so helpful and reliable. Over The past two years, I've stopped in to have my tires checked before a trip, or something was hanging underneath my motor where a clip was loose....Each time they never charged me. I lived in Charleston almost 40 years and I've done business with the Pitstop In Goose Creek for almost 20 years but obviously they're under new management and had no problem with ripping longtime customers off. I would not recommend having your car serviced there. The manager even after I told him I would not do business with him again, called my phone left a voice mail for me to call him back. When I did his exact words were "if you slander me I will come after you". What does that mean? Is that even legal? So if something happens to me, well you know it's because of my review.... Final words, they aren't cheaper then other places and I feel like I had a bait and switch performed on me, and if coming after me is how they handle escalations I wouldn stay clear of this place read more

They are great. The service is top notch. I went in for an oil change along with rotate and balance my tires. I was advised that my tires were wearing evenly and the tires in front were better for my front wheel drive so I did not need rotation but all my tires were out of balance and the technician talked to me about vibration while driving. I like that they speak to you regarding the issues you are having with the tires. read more

I have had my oil changed at the Toyota dealer since new but needed to use another source this time due to convenience. The dealership takes longer and charges $49. Pit Stop charged me $119 for a basic oil change on a tundra that needed full synthetic and 6 quarts. WOW! More than double the price! Never again will I be giving them my business. Quality verses quantity! This is one of the few service centers that has their people/technicians come out to you and explain the problem and the costs. First off, the nicest guys in the world, I took my car in and wanted somethings done, after being told so by another place and they were quick to call it bull. When my car broke down i had it towed there. They gave me a fair price, but it was more then I could afford. They didn't charge me for the diagnostic. They are very helpful, and fast. Service at a car care company. Yes it still occurs. The owner Dave and his other wonderful workers (Chad, John, etc.) shopped around for the tires that I ask for (a set of 4 rated at 70K miles). They then call me back with a very reasonable quote and time frame for completion of the job. So after dropping it off over night I get a call the next day before the estimated completion time. WONDERFUL. Oh by the way they will not sell you service/parts that you do not need. My wife goes there several times on her own to explain the car issue and NEVERS gets taken. Oh one more thing. The floor mats stay clean. read more
