Ripoffs! Will sell you things you do not need! I go in with a flat tire. Some guy up front by the name of Rolando takes a look at it, says it can NOT be fixed because I drove on it flat thus damaging it - and that I need a new tire. I look at the tire, I don't see any damage. He insists I need a new tire. I insist to have it taken off the rim to see if there's any actual damage on the inside of the tire. A technician takes the tire off the rim, looks at it and exclaims: the tire doesn't have any damage. Another one confirms. Tire is perfectly fine and can be fixed. Conclusion: Rolando is a liar who wanted to sell me a tire I don't need so he can make a few bucks. Nick and Peter are good technicians who told the truth. These guys are terrific. I live around the corner and anything that I needed there right there to help me out. Just recently I went there because I had some routine maintenance to do but I did have a really ugly noise that started small but ended up really big in the end. They took a look at everything that I was originally going to do and it wasn't necessarily necessary right now. So they took care of the big noise and now I'm riding quiet and tall. I got rear brakes a set of new tires and some shocks and I feel fabulous and so does my girl, my car Ruby. I highly recommend them they're very nice they're very sweet they looked in their system to see if I qualify for any kind of coupons or discounts and it was easy peasy lemon squeezy. read more

First, let me say that I have never written a bad review but I would hope that this will help someone else so that they won't have to experience what I did today. I visited the Firestone at 1 West Hallandale Blvd. because one of my tires was low. The technician showed me that I had a nail imbedded in my rear tire. Oscar came from the front desk and told me I may need to either have it fixed or replaced but they would have to take the tire off to see what was needed. I told him I had the warranty and he confirmed that I did. He said the wait time was 2 hours and the waiting area was a bit too crowded for me during the middle of a pandemic. I decided to leave my car and called an Uber. A couple of hours later I received a call from another Front desk employee (who later told me his name was "Sam") who informed me that they could not find my wheel lock key. I did not even know what he was talking about and told him that if it was missing, then they should have it because they were the last people who touched my car. He said he finds that hard to believe because that was in 2020, I told him that the reason I brought my car to them in 2020 was because the dealer told me I needed tires and I have historically always brought my car to Firestone and specifically the one in Hallandale for my tire service and by the way we are only in July 2021 now. He insisted they did not see my wheel lock key and had to break it to fix my tire. So I left feeling, it was my word against theirs and I would just have to suck it up and purchase a new wheel lock key from the dealer because if I suffer a flat, I cannot get my tires changed. Once I got home I looked in my trunk and discovered that two parts were missing. I called Firestone and spoke to Luis and told him that not only am I missing my wheel lock key but now 2 parts in my trunk (where the spare tire is located) are also missing. I am a 62 year old woman and I have a 2016 Nissan Altima that is kept impeccable and in great condition. There is no reason for anything to be missing and as I said Firestone at 1 W. Hallandale Blvd. were the last to service my vehicle. Luis said he would speak to the technician when I told him I needed the contact information for Corporate but he did not return my call and Sam who claimed to be the manager called me and was not helpful but defensive, arrogant, rude and unprofessional. He even asked me what parts were missing and I explained, I do not know because the compartment they were housed in is now empty and that I had no reason to remove them. I told him that he was not helpful and he told me he did not like it when people try to accuse him of taking things and I told him that I was not accusing him personally and he said well my shop. I was getting no where and the bottom line is that I am now out of more money than when I visited Firestone today and I regret going there at all and also leaving my car with them. I would not recommend this shop to anyone and it is a shame that Firestone's good name and reputation is connected with this shop. I have been a loyal customer for over 18 years but not after today. My advice, stay away from this facility and read the reviews and not Firestone's self-serving response that they "value me as a customer" because I assure you, I feel anything but valued. read more

I went for a tuneup and next thing I knew I was called to the back area numerous times for everything under the hood they claimed was wrong with my car. I was nearly in tears and filled with gloom! And yes I forked up the cash and too embarrassed to reveal the total out of pocket cost. A few days later the car brokedown and I towed it back only to find an additional fee was needed which I declined and towed the car to another mechanic who got it up and running for a lot less money too. This is probably one of the worst locations to receive any help from, I have made numerous calls during business hours with no response when arriving to the store about 35 minutes before closing they were not even willing to to look anything up in there system and told us to come back tomorrow. As so we did this time a hour before closing and the service advisor Melisa had a really ugly attitude and telling us she would have to order our tire reviving it by Monday had she of been willing to do her job the tire would have been in stock when we arrived. FOREVER! Is how long it is taking to have a tire looked at. Price haggling is absolutely necessary. Last time Jared gave me an incredible fair price on my rear tires. Damn it! I should have done all four at that time. That's right! He was so honest he told me i didn't need the front yet. He said I had about 5k miles left on them. He was right. Now they are giving me insane prices out my cooly. Then. I'm told they will give me the same price as last time. Now I'm told they will TRY. Which is it? After waiting over an hour at the Hollywood location and those men trying to charge me $81 for an oil change I contacted the corporate office . They referred me to the Hallandale location where I was to have a free oil change. What a fiasco, my car was given back with greasy fingerprints all over the drivers floorboard and grey carpet, hood and drivers side door I did contact the company and they said to have my car cleaned and they would pick up the bill, so here I am waiting for the check . I went to this location, and told the workers after they ran a diagnostic check, that I want only my thermostat and 3 hoses repaired, nothing else, even though they tried to sell more. Permission was given by 2pm to start work, but the car was not finished until 7:30pm that night! I know there were other cars, but 5 and half hours is ridiculous, especially when you pay labor $90 an hour! On top of $248 that I paid to have these fixed, (it costs $63 to remove 3 hoses and another $63 to remove a thermostat seperately I was told) How does it cost $63 in labor to remove 3 hoses? Even worse, I was told I wouldnt be charged for the $24.99 diagnostic checkfrom the beginning, that it would be applied to the repairs, by a worker. When I went to pay, I saw that I was charged and I asked why. I was told that the manager said, that because I wasn't getting a $91 coolant flush I would have to pay for the test, it wouldn't be applied to the repairs!! What kind of manager and company does this to a paying customer, and renegs on a promise already made? I will NEVER go back to any Firestone. read more

This shop is apparently under new management, and the new manager, Evie, effectively called me, a customer, a liar AND a thief in front of a lobby of customers. I'd had some major front end suspension work done at another shop who had had a long term relationship with this Firestone. Due to the nature of the work, my car needed an alignment. Since my original auto shop does not do wheel alignments themselves, they sent me to this Firestone. They have an account with this Firestone for that purpose, sending them business they would not otherwise have. *a quick side note: when vendors and service providers do business amongst themselves, it is not at the front end retail price a customer would pay, i.e. when a plumber buys the parts needed to do a repair he is not paying retail price for said parts; he buys them under his established business account at a discounted contractor price. I arrive, make an appointment for later in the day with a very polite young man who verified that I was indeed coming from the other shop after a paid job. When I was called to pay and pick up my car, Evie lays into me. What is this price? This isn't what this costs. Who are you, do you own this shop? I explain to her no, that I was sent there from the other shop, and that I am aware that the price I would be paying isn't the normal price. I ask her that since she doesn't believe what I'm telling her does she believe that I'm trying to steal from or defraud them in some way. I explain again that I had a large job done and as a part of that service an alignment was needed, that I was not "walking in off the street" so to speak. She says "well what was with the old management". I ask her in reply if that means her Firestone no longer takes business from other auto shops? This goes back and forth if front of a lobby of customers which was in poor taste and a bit embarrassing, with me standing there trying to convince someone that I am not a scam artist of some sort. After paying, I drove back down the street and explained what had happened to the owner of the original shop. He apologized to me even though it wasn't on him. As his long time customer I just wanted to let him know and to recommend that he doesn't do business with them any longer. I've been going to this Firestone for about 8 years and I have to say that overall, they've done a pretty good job. The only time they made a mistake, we contacted the manager and he took care of it immediately and even went a little further to ensure that I was taken care of. My only gripe is that like most shops, Firestone can be pricey. That having been said, I've always been treated very well by whoever is at the counter, they have always tried to help me out with discounts I could use on the spot(surveys or coupons), and they have always made an effort to get me in and out as quickly as possible. read more

This place hasn't been the same since Jared Wlaker left. He treated people with respect. This woman who is now the manager, snaky, rude, and condencending. The staff has no sense of urgency. The prices are ridiculous. I even had a $10 off code which I received for filling out the online survey. The manager said they don't take that code anymore. I'm never one to bargain or negotiate, but I did say "you can't take the coupon code which I had to fill out a survey to receive? " she reluctantly type the code into the computer and informed me that they don't normally do that (while rolling her eyes)... As if she was doing me a huge favor. I was driving to work and I had a flat tire. I was in the area so I looked up tire places and this one was the closest, I saw bad reviews but I said let's give it it a try. I have run flats on my car so I knew the tire would be a little more expensive, the guy in the front tells me I need two tires, but in reality at that moment I just needed to change the flat tire ...any way I said ok let's see what your estimate is for both tires, then he quoted me 900.00$ for two tires and he says that's with a 15% discount, then I said ok how much is for one tire? He said well the discount is with two tires so if you purchase one then it's gonna be 600.00$ for one tire . I couldn't believe he actually quoted me that, I mean not knowing much of tires, all you have to do is call another tire shop or just look online. I called good year right behind them and got the tire for 340.00 installed and I didn't ask for no discount. I don't like writing bad reviews but when people try to rip people off this bad then people should know who they're dealing with. read more

I've seen some bad reviews on here so I was worried but this place was great. Took me right away and were very accommodating. My battery died and they were very thorough. I was watching them the whole time and they were checking everything to make sure there was no problem causing the dead battery. The last time I was there I waited over 5 hours before everything was completed. I've been going to this place for years. I told all my friends and family how they were honest and great integrity and the best place if you need a mechanic. I guess things change. Now I think they are the absolute worst and bigest rip off don't go to this place no matter what. And especially do not pay for the $19.99 vehicle inspection. I just bought used car from a dealer AutoNation that they did a hundred and twenty five point inspection and I have 60 days warranty. They managed to find $2,290 worth of service that was recommended. The serpentine belt they wanted to replace was over $500. When they send me the survey and I put down these things I was answered by I think the manager he said that the serpentine belt was misquoted. By the way I took a flashlight and look at both sides of a serpentine belt it looks almost brand name if you want to be ripped off and you don't love your money take your car here otherwise stay away. read more
