I needed 4 new tires for my 2011 Prius. I called several places but the BEST advice came from Michele of Hollywood Tires. He was the only tire company who immediately emailed me a written quote including the type of tire he recommended, 4 Crown Evolutions. I researched, on-line, several sites comparing the Crown Evolution tire vs my old tires, and was happy with what I found out about them. I even found a video on YouTube that compared the two types of tires and it explained why the Crown was such a good tire. The price of the tires offered to me was excellent, and considerably less than the other tire companies had verbally offered. Then, even better, Hollywood Tire offered to drive me home after dropping off my car and they picked me up the next day. What great service! Their receipt advises me to have my tires rotated every 5,000 miles and the receipt also says, and I quote: "We sell new tires major brands with free installation & balance with purchase of 4 new tires, we guarantee lifetime rotation & 50% discount on front alignment." I've been taking my 3 cars for repairs and maintenance here since January. Recently I bought some new headlights and fog lights online so I brought my honda over to install them. I've read other reviews, some are several years old. It's a mixed bag, I think for simple issues you'll be fine. No high tech gadgets I could see. Michelle and Ronnie seemed to me like someone I could talk too and have them listen. I do not trust dealerships but unless you have new car I guess you have little choice, other places I've gone too in Hollywood where very expensive or just super busy. Brought in my car for a new tire since I had gotten it patched up and it started leaking again, but they offered to take a look to see if they could fix the problem for cheaper instead of doing a full replacement. The owner Michele is not someone I would want to deal with ever again. My experience was very disheartening especially when you hear good comments about a place you believe will provide good or excellent service. Well, it was the total opposite! I was told to come in for a check on concern that I had and when I returned for my early appointment (on my day off) the owner brushed me off. He had said I could bring my car early as soon as they open for a check up then he said it wasn't possible. This is terrible customer service!!! You do not make a customer waste their time. I would have had a great impression if he had been honest with me and said not come in . I would be careful coming to this place, I don't consider this good customer service but lack especially coming from an the owner of a mechanic shop. Save your money and go to a better shop. I came in early to leave my car, we had a vibration issue. I left it the whole day I had no problem with that. I was patient and even joking with them. They couldn't find the issue. So I went to pick up my car and asked the mechanic when can I bring it back what's a better day? We spoke. I was going to bring it back even though when I picked up my car it was worse. They added me a problem now it seem like the car power wanted to shut off. I told the mechanic and he jumped in the car and pushed the engine to not shut off and assured me it was ok. I got home no problem. Next morning we still have the same issue and now the car won't start. I spent a ton of money ubering everyone around so they can keep the car for the day. Now it came back worse and not working. I called the owner and he gets defensive. Saying it's my fault. The car is was brought in with an issue so now it broke. The car was working! It just heavily vibrated. Now it won't start and I'm spending more money ubering everyone around. He tells me to bring it back in now that it's not working we can find the issue. So wait?? It has to break down before you can fix it. I have to spend another day and what if you can't figure it out. So I spend how many days? Now I have to pay a towing fee. No consideration to any of this. I was trying to prevent an issue now I have double the issue. Save yourself the trouble. They will make it worse. I don't want to be rude, but how does 3 different people not know what the problem is and now my car won't start. There, I'm assuming not knowledgeable. I won't ever come back. Like I said save yourself the trouble and extra money go somewhere else. I should of read the reviews first. read more

Michael is an excellent customer service person. He tried his best to have my tire flat fixed as quickly as he could. I was told 30-40 minutes and it was done in 20 minutes. They did an excellent job as I've driven the car the last few days with no problem. While I was here several customers came and went and All had nothing but good things to say. It was an excellent experience. The only complaint is the mechanic did not screw back the tire stem cap back on, so now I have to buy another one. But I'll be back. Michel is not welcoming. I purchased 2 used tires for the front of my car on 10/22, he rushed me and displayed annoyance regarding my questions. 11/2 I return because I noticed my steering wheel turning to the left. Once again Michel was not welcoming. He was standing at the door when I walked up and I heard him whisper "oh my God" before he turned around and walked away. I explained my concern and he told me with a rushed and rude tone "How do you know it's the tire?" then "I cannot do it now it's lunch time everyone is out you have to come back in 40 minutes" (it was 1PM). I return at 1:50PM and explain my concern again. He over talks me stating he will look at it and attempted to walk away. Several times I had to proclaim that I am trying to understand the possibilities and to stop walking away while I am talking to him. He finally listens and responds "Sometimes it happens. You may need an alignment. It's used tires that's why I don't like used tires much". I have purchased used tires for almost 10 years on the very car I brought to Michel. This is my first time visiting Hollywood Tires since moving to the area, and this is the review I posted this review on Google as well. I needed new brakes and disks on my car. Being new to the area, I was very cautious since finding a good, honest mechanic is very difficult these days. However, their friendly and professional demeanor since the start was a good sign. The quote price was very reasonable, and they offered to take the car right away. It was done on time, as they promised (about 3 hours or so)... The brakes are working much better than before. It wasn't a very heavy repair job, but so far so good, i'm very pleased with my initial dealings with them. I'll be returning there for any future repairs. read more

These guys are AMAZING!!! Great work, great price and extremely knowledgeable! I have a 1957 Chevy Bel Air and I was having trouble getting the oil leaks fixed. I took it to Circle Car Care, they charged me a 1,000+, never fixed the leaks and wanted ANOTHER 1,000 dollars to fix the leaks they didn't fix in the first place. I took the car to Hollywood Tire and, even though they don't usually work on classic cars, they, reluctantly took the job. They did the job perfectly. And, it's hard to find mechanics that can still work on a car that doesn't have a computer to plug in to but THEY knew how to do the job and repaired ALL the OTHER shops poorly done jobs, AND showed me what Circle Car Care did wrong and told me they were surprised the car didn't blow up, all for 800 dollars and change. And it's PERFECT!! The NICEST people and extremely honest. For now on, THESE guys ARE my mechanics of choice. I won't go anywhere else! read more
