In short I was in a pickle. I had to catch a flight in 9 hours and needed so much work done. I looked online for hours only and this location was opening at 7am I was the first one in the door. I suggest what I felt the car needed and explained my situation to Robert Johnson, Store Manager. I told him the car was pulling for a while now and I had messed up my tires so much so that the car would slide in wet pavement. I needed to leave the car to my son, who is a new driver and couldn't leave it in that condition. He asked me to let him look at it and he and his team would make an effort to get me out by 1:30 He set my up in the system and explained I would get an email soon after the check by the mechanic. Sure enough that came quick. He took the time to explain how much everything would be but not to worry they had specials and coupons. He applied all he could and did see my concern so he went one step further and explain what is urgent and what could wait. I felt so reassured and was very happy with the affordability of all the service provided. My amazement came when I sat there... oh yes I forgot he let me set up my mobile workstation so I wouldn't miss work ! But I was in awe of how Mr Johnson really managed the store! He accepted tire orders , placed parts and tire orders, took phone calls and a large amount of walk in customers. The patience and ability to keep order with all of theses things going on was very impressive. He literally explained everything to each and every customer. ALL this in 4 hours because his team stepped up and got me out of there so fast! I was able to go home, eat before heading to O'Hare. Thank you Hillside Firestone and especially Robert. read more

We stopped in late last night about 15 minutes before closing for a slow leak. They were very accommodating! They didn't mind at all or at least they didn't wear it on their faces. The service gentleman took his time working on the tire. He went around and checked the pressure of all my tires, took the spray bottle to look for leaks on the surface, then the nozzle, got his flashlight and checked again, then took the tire off to check the inside and finally found corrosion. We left shortly after 7 happy customers! He did a great job and we appreciate the time and effort he put in so close to closing time! read more

They were very nice. I left my car there because I got a flat and I knew my other tire had a slow leak . I was hoping to fix both of them but I was told that they weren't fixable, because the tread was too low even so I thought they would be decent Back tires. I ordered new tires over the phone. I bought two new tires $230 out the door. What I'm really disappointed about is it new tires go in the front in the old tires go in the back so I assume that would be done but it wasn't I don't know if there's an extra fee for that but it wasn't even mention to me or offered to me so that was kind of disappointing. It would've been really nice to have a my donut tire put back. I didn't have it on the car when I pulled in because I couldn't get it the tire off to put the donut on but I know they were in the trunk because They took out the covers for the new tire does this make sense... Ithe only reason why I'm not over the moon. Quick service expensive would like the extra mile. I went to Silva tire shop afterwards right behind them get two used tires for $80 they rotated the tires for me and they align the car again $80 out the door . So I pulled in there with a very small trailer and they told me their equipment is too big to handle the small trailer changing of a tire not even fixing changing of course I would pay them but they're too busy there's nobody in the place and nothing going on will never stop there again terrible customer service read more

Eliot and this store manager (Miguel) should NOT be working for Firestone. With all the effort Firestone puts into it's business to be one of the top customer service companies, it's hard to believe they'll get anywhere with staff like these two individuals. I contacted customer care and opened a claim against this store after I was verbally mistreated by Eliot. Store manager had 24 hours to follow up but didn't bother calling till Thursday morning. We took in our car because the check engine light came on. The first time they said it was bad gas and reset the light. A week later the light came back on, they replaced the gas cap. Another week later, it was a bad sensor, then the light never came back on. We take the car for the emissions test and fail. All to find out Firestone had solved our problem but cutting the line to the check engine light. They denied ever doing that but we'll never go back to them. read more

I spoke with Jessica regarding brake service pricing (rear tires) for my 2006 Mitsubishi Galant, and she quoted a price of $279, which was less than Midas ($310 + tax), less than Meineke ($390) and less than Pep Boys ($351.97. Pep Boys' prices are very misleading on their website. Their brake service package pricing is per tire, not for a set of 2!) I made a 12 noon appt that same day (on Friday) at Firestone in Hillside, and I was in and out in less than 2 hours! And the price was less than what Jessica quoted to me, $264.42 total! Chris & staff replaced a battery in my car in record time! I was in and out in less than 45 minutes. Store was very clean and comfortable waiting area. Staff was professional and considerate. I am a pharma sales rep and I drive for a living. There I was driving around and the indicator in my car said one of my tires was low. Like psi of 20. I thought maybe it was just because the weather had turned chilly and perhaps it wasn't really low. An hour or two later my psi was 15. So I called my dad who said GO TO FIRESTONE! So I googled and this one was the closest. I rolled up without an appointment and told the guy what was going on. He was SO NICE. He offered to patch the tire (but said that would take around an hour). Since I really didn't have an hour in the middle of my workday to sit and wait (gotta get my sales calls in) I asked if there was just a really quick fix that could get me on the road to finish up sales calls and get back downtown (home). He said sure. He had me pull my car around and he inspected the tire and found a big old bolt stuck in my tire. So that explains the issue! He said I definitely need this repaired pretty soon but since I didn't have time there and now for the proper repair, he checked my psi and added air for me. He also told me to feel free to come back before hitting the road back into the city if I want him to check my psi again and add more air. It might not seem like much but for a girl that knows next to nothing about cars, it was nice having someone to help me out. He didn't charge me for anything and just made me feel safe. When I did get back into the city that day I headed right to Firestone (near my house) and got my tire repaired. I've always had good experiences with Firestone (as has my dad). read more

This is the last time of disapointment from this store! Being a customer for many years and this being a tire service store, I needed simple assistance with putting air in my flat tire. Only to have the attendant to tell me I needed to wait an HOUR to simply put Air in my tire. This is ridiculous and is the last time i will every go to this place for anything at all.
