This company does good work however the guy behind the desk is rude and very unprofessional. I stopped in the day before to have my car looked at he said he wouldn't be able to get to it today so bring in the morning. I get there he's on the phone running his mouth took him 15 minutes to say ill be with you then 15 more minutes to ask what I need while still on the phone just to tell me he would need a couple hours which was fine what pissed me of was the 30 minutes it took for nothing to get done after I was told bring early the next morning. So I left went to a spot called techo auto in maywood my car was pulled in almost immediately and found out my control arm was bent and now my car is being repaired immediately cause this is a quick fix. I had took my car for nothing more than a resonator delete and left with cracked paint on my bumper a broken bumper bracket and my side skirts dragged on there lifts yet still never got the resonator delete and they told me buy other parts cause they didn't want to use mine highly disappointed at how they treated me and my car. The owner was rude at all times never wanted to give insurance information due to him wanting to pay out of his own pocket then offered me $300 to make it better and after multiple calls back to him and hours of waiting I was finally able to get his insurance. sad enough to say first and last time ever there because you should be rude to someone and try n find loop holes after fucking up their car. read more

I had a blowout on the Eisenhower near the Mannheim exit. Rolled into this business on my rim and asked if they could change my tire. All the staff were busy with other cars but the owner volunteered to change it. In 20 minutes I was back on the road. Really nice guy! Couldn't ask for better service. These guys are amazing and generous. We had a blowout on the interstate, got off and bailed into the first parking lot I could find. These guys were closing up but came out, took the car in, swapped the tire for my spare in like 90 seconds and wouldn't even take money. They are incredible and I can't get over their selflessness. Just want to give a shout out to person on duty today. I got stranded with a flat tire. He offered to help me changing the tire to put on the 'bring me home' one. Since it would not have helped me to get home & I had roadside assistance, I opted to be towed to dealer instead. After closing store and before driving home, he came to check if towing & hubby were close. He told me he was not comfortable leaving me there by myself (not best part of town) & asked if I'd prefer to be driven to a store close by to wait there, in place where other people would be around. Since help was max 5 min away, I thanked him for his concern & offer, and asked him to not to worry & get on his way home. I did not use any of the services they offer (since they do not sell tires) but can say that if how I got treated today is only half way indicative of how customers get treated that you'll be in great hands!!!! read more

I don't even want to give a start rating but it makes you to right a review. Was recommended to this place after my car unexpectedly shut off. So had the car towed there it took 2 days just to look at. After several ppl said it was the starter they call back to say it was the battery 2 days later shut off again and wouldn't start Took the car back still 2 days hadn't looked at it I just moved the car. So I called to a shop that had been communicating with them regarding a starter warranty. The guy at the other shop says kwik stop called and told him it was in fact the starter and would work with the warranty company to have replaced but yet he charged me and replaced the battery which probably never even needed to be replaced. Not a great experience at all and wouldn't go back. Waste of money and time. read more

I came and dropped my car off Friday to fix my heat. He said I would have my car Saturday with the heat working. By Saturday 4 hours before they closed I was told that he would not be able to get my heat working after he made $400 worth of maintenance work. He replaced the radiator and thermostat both did not have my heat working. when I pic up the car he tells me its another $300 job to get the heat working. I dont think they have any knowledge of fixing heat now im freezing and $400 poorer read more

Disappointed in the service was expecting better, I brought the car in with an issue and I was told I needed a tune-up which I did not need. Cost $400. What it needed was some oil change, thermostat and some coolant. Not cool. read more

Finding an honest and competent auto mechanic who isn't a jackass is like finding a needle in a haystack. Everyone understands the value of the first two qualifications, but I value the third, too. Look, I'm not a mechanic so when I ask a simple question in my ignorance, don't be a jackass and look at me like I just failed my ASE Cert or something. I ask (just out of curiosity) lots of ignorant questions about my car and its repairs, and they have never rolled their eyes at me or talked to me in that "way." These guys have ALWAYS done right by me. I don't have money to blow on the purchase of new cars, so I buy older high mileage cars that require their fair share of upkeep and repairs. On at least two occasions, I've had them tell me not to fix something because it was a minor issue that would cost too much to resolve. When they've been unable to do a repair, they've told me up front, and they didn't charge me for the diagnostic. Then they referred me to a place that was as good as they are. Just today, they noticed that one of my tires was in really bad shape. And it was; the steel was starting to protrude from the bald spot; I had no idea! So being an old car I told them I'd like to replace with used tires. "Absolutely! No Problem!" They even sent me to a great guys who did it cheap! So while I don't see these brothers (the owners) often (except for regular oil changes), when I have to get a repair done, they do it quick, they do it right, and they do it at a fair price. To me, that deserves 5 stars! read more

Kwik Stop has both quality work and competitive pricing, which can be hard to find. I live in the city, but this is a quick trip out on 290 (unless there's traffic). I have an '01 with 137k miles and want to keep it going for another 137k and then some. I have had both a small repair and a much bigger repair done here. Both experiences were good and I felt the price was right. I think we've all had a bad experience at a dealership or a city repair shop that usually involves bleeding your wallet dry. If you use the Kwik Stop, that won't happen to you again. read more
