I don't know what I would have done yesterday if I did not call Firestone I realized I had the hugest nail sticking out of my tire at 4:36p on Sunday and had to find a tire shop to drive out of state. I first went to Mavis Tires & Breaks at 4:40p and they said they could not take any more people, although it was def time before closing so immediately called Firestone. I've had my car serviced there before so I was praying that they would serve me since I'm not from Mississippi. When I called Alex answered and I told him the situation. Although he said it was 2 cars in front and I may have to leave my car overnight, he suggested to bring it by because maybe it was a simple plug When I arrived at 4:46p, Alex took a look at tire and def recommend a new one, surprisingly they had my size in stock and he was soo understanding of me not being from Mississippi then added me to the roster for the quick fix . Although there were 2 cars ahead of me, they pulled big red in at 4:53p and got me out by 5:10p. I am sooo appreciative that the team stayed over 5pm to assist me and was fast, efficient and so reliable. Without Alex and the Firestone team I would not have made it to Atlanta for my flight . Firestone is definitely my #1 go to! I will not waste time with any other tire service. Took days and didn't even diagnose. The front desk guy keeps telling me they will look at it. Most recently he told me they will have it looked at within thirty (30) minutes and call me back. They have not called me back and nearly two (2) hours have now elapsed. In the course of days, I have no car and no knowledge of what is going on. The tonality of the front desk guy is such that he is implying I am a bother. I have only called twice in two days. Or once per day. This is not an unreasonable amount of times to call. read more

Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else!!!!! Brought a vehicle in to have ONE tire checked because I had to put a plug in it last night because I had a flat tire. I also told them I was headed out of town. They told me to come at 8:00 and they would get me on my way. I simply asked them to check to see if the tire was okay or maybe I needed a new tire. After 3 hours of waiting, I was told I needed three new tires -- none of which were the actual tire I was there for!!! Then when they decided to put the new tire on, they were putting it on the wrong one!!! This is a very poorly run business. We will NEVER come back to this location!! I made an appointment on line with firestone for 8:00a.m. for today. I dropped vechicle off at 8:00am and the guy said it should be ready 11:00am. I actually gave a 30 minute grace period considering. I did notice there were a lot of vechicles in garage that early in the morning, but the web site said 8:00am was available. I don't mind waiting but to have an appointment and it's close to 2:00 pm before my service is done is ridiculous. I am getting 2 tires put and I scheduled my day around Firestone appt availability. I had to walk to pick up my truck when it was ready which was 6 plus hrs later.Im so disappointed. read more

The superior customer service at the Flowood MS location is unmatched. It doesn't matter when I call or stop by, the team in Flowood never cease to amaze me. I've been by at least three times and each time I've went by, they're the same with the compassionate care and concern. I would like to recognize Ms. Tina - she is the Service Manager at the Flowood location. Her way of doing business was contagious - literally. They have absolutely no regard for the value of my time. I made an appointment for an oil change and arrived 10 minutes early. Was told " we will get you in soon, there is one care ahead of you." 40 minutes after my appointment time, and after complaining, my oil change was finally started. Manager ia a argumentative and full of excuses and no action. I travel all around the United States and only take my vehicle to Firestone, this Jackson location is the worst one I've ever dealt with! After writing my review on Yelp and the Firestone website, I was contacted by the regional Firestone customer service. Ms. Sarah understood my concerns and reached back to the Jackson Firestone store. After the manager (Jabri) looked into my concerns and situation, he phoned me and let me know that even he would have been confused by the explanation about my vehicle. He acknowledged that there should be better communication. My only concern is that this was just "lip service" and that nothing will change. I will only give this store a 3-star rating of ok until I see that something actually has changed. BTW, they did refund the charges for the evacuation and recharge of $233. I will first say the staff will smile and be courteous but very unprofessional. I purchase 4 new tires and allowed the to mount and balance them. My paperwork indicated all 4 tires PSI 35...not true!!! 47, 39, 43, 45 PSI on different tires. I called back and young man said well sometimes they vary ????? SMH because I am a female doesn't me I'm dumb. He said bring it back. I called back to confirm by speaking with the store manager Randy; he tells me we can't get you in today (its 430/close @6). Your incompetent techs screw up and leave oil on my leather door panel and you cannot get me in today. Unprofessional and unacceptable!!! People can get and oil change anywhere and tires put on at in corner in Jackson. Firestone was chosen because I ASSumed I would receive better service and professionalism. One other complaint is their overbearing sales tactics. You are friendly until you attempt to upsale then you are told no and your entire attitude becomes condescending. On our way to Florida we had a tire blow out on a Sunday. We have awkward sized tires on our ford but J.R. managed to find a set of 4 and said they would be delivered by 11 am. The tires arrived earlier in the morning and we were able to get on our way. There's a Starbucks near by and the highway. I had a good experience today. Jacques gave me a good deal on a new tire. I had to wait a long time because it was super packed so I can't fault them for that. Actually if they're super packed that probably means they're good otherwise people wouldn't take their cars there. Anyway Jacques did a good job communicating with me and my car is driving great now. I asked them to fix the alignment -which I just did a month ago for 83.65- and Matt who works there refused to do so and asked me to pay extra $92.20 if I want the alignment done. Went to firestone for some A.C. work. After having it the whole they call and tell me its ready. I go to pick it up and they infom me that they couldnt fix the problem. I eventually take the car to another shop and they informed me that $100.00 part was missing that Firestone didnt put back on. If i was to breakdown in firestone's parking lot, I wouldn't let them push the car in their bay and fix it free. I wouldn't recommend them to anyone. Total GARBAGE!!! read more

I've been coming here for quite some time as they are right around the corner. I confess that I generally take my cars elsewhere when I need major service, just because I have a local mechanic that I really like, but I bring them here for all oil change and tire needs. The staff is friendly and it has been the same couple of guys (at the counters anyway) for a number of years. They keep the building clean, the waiting area has a TV, and there is usually coffee and water out while you wait. It helps that Kroger and some restaurants are close by. My only complaint is that they are quite popular, so be prepared to wait a while depending on when you come in for service, even if you have scheduled an appointment. read more

***UPDATE*** it literally took forever for the area manager to investigate what happened. I was basically told that the allegations couldn't be proven so nothing happened. I should have filed my affidavit for simple assault but I was trying to give Firestone the opportunity to correct the situation. I regret doing that. I will never return to this location after how I was treated today. I went in for a nail in my tire for which I had purchased a road hazard warranty. Upon entering the store, the associate named Adam advised that it would take an hour and a half to even look at the tire. I tried to explain to him that my mother is in ICU and I needed to get back as quickly as possible... was there any way he could help me with faster service. I explained that I have been a regular customer for eight years and have spent thousands of dollars at this location and I was looking for just a little compassion with an urgent situation. Adam would have none of it telling me very rudely that how long I had been coming there and how much money I had spent didn't matter. He literally said that he was not in the mood to listen to my "bullshit" and if I didn't like it I could leave. At this point, I began to stand my ground advising that I would not tolerate being spoken to like that and asked for the name of a manager and his name. Adam literally said "fuck you... get out" to me. At this point, I began to get upset and told him that if he was going to speak to me like that he could go fuck himself and that I would speak with corporate. He replied "fuck you... you little cripple faggot!" (I have cerebral palsy) He lunged at me from behind the counter and was being restrained another associate in the store who pleaded with him not to touch me. Adam physically shoved me out of the door and slammed my arm in the door. I immediately called police and filed charges for simple assault. I have also contacted corporate office and was told I would be contacted by the area manager by close of business tomorrow. I have been a long time customer at this location but customer service has been on a downward spiral ever since Lee retired. I am not sure that I will ever return to this business after my experience. I am still in shock. read more

I am beyond livid!! I needed new brakes for my 2007 Infiniti. I was told by the technician that he wouldn't put the brakes on if I didn't buy new rotors which I didn't need. I spent $200 EXTRA bucks that I really couldn't afford to spend being that I've been unemployed since last June. I was taken advantage of and that is conniving and dishonest. I've given much of my business to Firestone with oil changes and such but this is the last and final time I give these people my money. I advise anyone to ask someone else before you take these peoples word for your repairs. They will screw you if you are not careful. Better yet, just don't even chance it. I have given them the benefit of the doubt so many times when it came to mistakes they made and I'm finally fed up and will never go their again. They didn't balance my tires TWICE so I had to take it back both times because my car shook so bad. They also will tell me it will take 30 minutes and then it takes 3 hours. They were supposed to fix a broken light...and then 30 minutes after I left it quit working again. The only reason I gave 2 stars instead of 1 is because they are atleast pretty nice. I have been coming to the Firestone Store at 1435 Jacksonian Plz Jackson, MS 39211 for years and have been only mildly satisfied with each visit. Today was the last straw. After bringing my car in for a flat tire months ago and needing an emergency tire, I was told because of my special tire size, they'd have to order one from their warehouse. I said that was fine but wanted to know what kind of tire it was. I was told the only thing they had in stock was a brand I'd not heard of and they assured me it was a sub brand they carried. Seeing as it was the only option, I told them ok, even though it was more then i wanted to spend for a cheap tire. 6 months later, I went it for another issue and they told me that tire had a knot on the sidewall and needed to be replaced. I told them I bought the tire from them just a few months ago. They looked it up and confirmed that it was their tire but they didn't provide warranties for that brand. I told them I wasn't told that at the time and they just shrugged and said they only stand by their top brands. I guess to Firestone it was worth keeping $100 than a customer.
