I took my vehicle to Firestone Complete Auto Care for mounting, balancing, and alignment of two new back tires. The process started with conflicting information: I was told I ordered the wrong tires, then that the correct tires hadn't been delivered yet. Once the tires were finally delivered and installed, I returned the next day to find one tire was flat. When I called, I was told to bring the wheel in so they could check for a puncture, which seemed reasonable. At the shop, I was informed they couldn't pull up the previous work in the system and were to check if I had run over a nail or screw. Within about 10 minutes, I was told the rim was cracked and that it probably existed before the service, and that I'd need a new rim. This was surprising because: - The rim did not leak before the tire installation. - The new tire had no damage when I found it flat. - The rim and tire were inspected at the time of installation, so I question how the rim could crack or be damaged during service without an immediate failure or noticeable damage on the new tire. The final outcome was insufficient: I was told they do not repair rims and there was no clear explanation, accountability, or resolution offered. I took my truck to Firestone because there was a miss in the #6 cylinder. After their evaluation they stated that the engine was blown and had to be replaced. ($8500-$9500) I started doing a little bit of research and found out that the model of my truck is known for the lifters going bad. I relayed the information to Firestone and they swore that they had done everything they could and nothing but a new motor would fix it. I took it to a local mechanic that I was referred to (Gibson Auto) and the issue was exactly what I told Firestone to check. It was a collapsed lifter and I got it fixed for just a little over $1500. The moral of this story is to do a little research and ask questions and don't hesitate to get a second opinion and don't be afraid to walk away! read more

Very unprofessional. 100% DO NOT recommend. My little cousin stopped to get her tire aired up and was treated with such a disrespect. They also tried to tell her that she needed two new tires. Obviously trying to take advantage of the fact that she's a female and thinking she's clueless. Thought wrong. She in fact only needed air because she made it home without further incident. I Brought my car in to have it looked at because I had dash lights that were staying on and An issue with acceleration. I've had an account here for at least 20 years with the Previous company that owned it. They had always done great work, and went above and beyond. when that company went fire stone some of the same people. I had no doubt that I would get the same service had before. So, after hooking up my car to the diagnostic computer, it showed a misfire on third cylinder. A tuneup was done with a new coil pack spark plugs, the usual. And it also needed a PCV valve. So the work was done and I put it on my account. Shortly after the lights came back on and I was still having Issues with the lights, the acceleration and it was still using oil. So I called explained and took it back in for the second time. They called and explained that it be the fuel injector So they worked with me to change out the third fuel injector. I got the car back and it reeks of gas which I understand is normal. So I drive the car about 50 miles down the road and the lights kick on again, same issue. At this point my charge account is maxed out And I still need to take my car back to be fixed. So I'll call the corporate help line the district manager was supposed to call me. I never was able to talk to him but his boss called me and explained that they had excellent technicians and that they wanted to make it right please take the car back. I had explain to him that I had talk to at least three different people that had different stories to tell about my car and how I felt Taken advantage of and manipulated. So reluctantly, I really didn't have a choice but to take the car back since I had about $2000 on a charge card. The third time I take it back and they worked with me on the charges but still ended up paying about $200 Out of pocket. About three weeks have gone by and my lights came on again. Now my AC doesn't work the warning lights come on and go off Sporadically. In the car jerks when in idle. I took it back to the store and left a message for the manager. I think it's been five days and still no return phone call. In the beginning the comment was made, " Well, you pay for convenience". I assure you, This has been anything but convenient. So three months,$2000 on a credit card and about $200 out-of-pocket And my car is still not fixed completely. Bottom line if you need more than tires, save yourself a lot of time, money and aggravation and just don't! P.S. After talking to the district managers boss, he bragged about all the rave reviews on Google that they had and How uncommon this seemed. I am always Leary and very VERY picky about who I do business with and who works on my truck. Their character, their honesty, etc... I can easily say that Vincent made me feel completely at ease explaining everything with absolutely no pressure whatsoever in having unnecessary work done. I pretty much came in knowing what my new/used truck did and didn't need and Vincent was honest about it all. He even saved me almost $300 in unnecessary work that another mechanic wanted to overcharge me on. Just like anyone else I am not a fan of paying professional mechanic prices, but I can honestly say that in this case the peace of mind is worth it. I initially began goin to the Firestone in Knoxville but moved back to the Tri-Cities. I was pleasantly surprised to find that this location has been (I've been 3 times for oil changes, tire rotations, new tires, breaks, etc) even better than the location I frequented in Knoxville. The staff is always friendly. The manager is very helpful and will go above and beyond to assist. My car is always given back to me without having smudges or oil all over everything like when I went to the car dealership. Highly recommend. read more

I paid for an oil change and for my tires to be rotated, they didnt put oil back in my car nor did they rotate my tires. (I mark my tires) I had to go back the next day. They thought since I was a woman, I wouldnt notice. They almost tore up my brand new car. I will never go back there. read more

Was quoted one price over the phone and another when I got to the store. The manager I spoke with was very rude and refused to give me the price I was quoted over the phone. Will NOT be returning. Make sure you actually go to the store for prices because apparently they can't quote them accurately over the phone. read more
