I've had great service, so so service and today, bad service. Brought a 04 t&c in for an alignment but also to inspect for a squeaking noise. Once vehicle was done I realized it was parked in front and waited an additional 10 mins (after I noticed it was out there) for someone to inform me it was completed. No one informed me so I walked up to the counter to see if it was finished. Started the process of checking out and asked questions about the work they did and the guy at the counter couldn't tell me much as he's only been there a week. Couldn't tell me what additional charges were, if they'd figured out the squeaking noise or if they checked air pressure in the tires. After I asked all these questions he went to talk to the tech who has now takin off to lunch (yes go to lunch but talk to someone about the vehicle). Now I can't get any answers to the vehicle but they can call me when he's back. So I left and waited for the call. It was pretty obvious from the call that the tech didn't do anything else other other than the alignment. Tells me squeaking is from brakes and new struts. Well the squeaking was there before the new struts and it only makes noise with bumps and the brakes had nothing to do with the squeaking. I guess with this covid thing customer service goes in the garbage and you just get people out the door, well that's how you lose a customer base. But then again, I've read posts from before covid and it just looks like bad customer service at times, sad. read more

The day I went in they pushed the firestone credit card on my for a meager discount on repairs. Not only was it not worth the discount it was the worst credit card I've ever seen. My bad for taking pity on the poor guy pushing the card frothing at the mouth. The experience has made it impossible for me to even consider ever going back to that hell hole and I've been a walking advertisement against them for the past 6 months. They recommended a muffler place for some work and I've avoided that place as well just because firestone gave me the name. We had a flat tire and pulled in at 642 p.m. Asked if they could fix it and Barry said no they were closing. They close at 7 according to the website. He filled our tire for us though. My Dad very rudely told Barry he was a f-ing a-hole. Barry responded with suck a fat c#ck lol. I decided to go back the next day to talk to the store manager (my Dad had already talked to him that morning but wanted me to talk to him anyway, so I did) and guess who still had a job and offered to help. The following day I received a call advising that I was going to be considered as a walk-in. I said, "No, thank you," and advised that I would go online to reschedule my appointment again. Well, after I scheduled the second appointment, I received another call advising of the same issue, but this time the explanation was that the online system is not syncing with the system on-site. So, I rescheduled my appointment yet again. This is the day of my appointment. I am here and after 2 hours of waiting, I was advised that there is only 1 alignment technician and that it was going to be another 40 minutes before my van's work is completed. I waited for another 15 minutes before blowing my top because the technician with my keys was farting around. All I know is that the alignment for my van better be done correctly. The store is closed now and there better not be any half-assed work done!!! The next time I need service, I am returning to the Firestone in Tukwila. I do not care that the commute is long. These guys saved our vacation! Our car was making noises, so we pulled into the Lacey Firestone. They listened to our concern and immediately helped to fix our problem. Michael, the tech, says that it was just the skid plate dragging on the road. He fixed it and said we were good to go. The service advisor, I think named Lee, went above and beyond caring for our need and helping to expedite the service. At the end, he let us know that it was all taken care of and at no charge. We rented a car from Dollar at the Seattle airport, drove to Olympia and tried to drive back. It was raining and the car was hydroplaning a lot. We stopped at this Firestone and they confirmed our tires were very worn, which we could plainly see. Barry took excellent care of us and could not sell us anything since it wasn't our car! Then about the middle of 2018 I think management changed and this new guy at the front desk just totally changed the atmosphere and work at this place. You try to schedule for something minor and then he tells you he needs his 'specialist' on the job - despite it is a Sunday and I have an appointment for said work. incompetent idiots stay away from this place..... I made an appointment a day in advance for a brake inspection. I needed replacement drum brake pads as a check was done 4 years prior and the word then was 40% or less left. I told this to the person taking the appt on the phone. I also gave the make and model. During prior checks with Schwab and another Firestone outlet that I have used before both warned me about the "Ford proprietary nut" and made sure one was available if needed. It never was here at the Slater Kinney outlet.... So this time, I come in thinking they know this and they make me wait 1.5 hours to deliver the news that they can't even crack the drum brakes for an inspection because they don't have the nut and the local Ford dealer will take another 3/4 hours to deliver it. I was watching while waiting and the mechanic and their supervisor were yucking it up, slowly working on other cars while my car sat with the wheels off for .75 hours. They knew about "the nut" while I sat there waiting. When i finally went to the super in the garage the moron told me about the nut and said it would be another 20 minutes with an FO attitude. When I told him I thought he was acting like an ASS he blew up and acted offended when in fact he treated the customer with total disrespect by ignoring my car for too long (the check was only to last 30-60 minutes and they knew I had an appt following this one). A totally unprofessional experience.... Sad, considering I had good service from Firestone Harrison St before many times.... Third time's a charm!! When replacing the fuel pump for $1,100 dollars, they damaged the filler tube, and the rollover valve inside. So they replaced them in a week. It still doesn't work the way it's supposed to, but we'll see. When they put in the new filler tube, the "technician" did not properly attach the tube to it's mountings, so now it rattles. After looking at it, it appears they didn't put in the proper washers, or grommets, or spacers on the mounting screws. It seems their motto is: "It'll do.". After notifying them of the error this morning, I was told that the "technician" who did the work wasn't there today. So I have to wait, and come in at his convenience. 8:00 a.m. tomorrow. Stay tuned folks! The Adventure ain't over yet!! I received a note from the first shop, near Puyallup, telling me that they worked on it in two different shops. Believe me, I know that. The first one, where I thought it was fixed, and the second one, here in Olympia, where I thought they were going to fix it. They are certain that I'm just one of those people who likes free stuff. $1,100.00 later, they get me a rental car while they take a week to fix their mistake. Had they fixed it properly the first time, the car wouldn't have been necessary. God forbid they should notice their other mistake, which was not replacing the fiberglass insulation they put around the fuel pump to keep it from being noisy. Anyway, just make sure everything is done right before you leave, and don't assume anything. read more

My car is still leaking radiator fluid after three visits and 1000.00 dollars this place should only be used for tires and basic vehicle maintenance such as oil changes and tire rotation. I will not be coming back to any Firestone for auto repair. Conclusion after Firestone couldn't find the leak after they so called pressure test the radiator for over thirty minutes could find three pin hole leaks which Expert Automotive found in just 3 minutes of pressure testing. This Firestone location is not any good nor is the one on McCord Air base they obviously lied about the service they gave me. read more

30 minutes into our 5 day family vacation we hit something in the fast land and wound up with an irreparable flat tire. It was 6:30am. We made it to the Lacey Firestone right as they opened at 8am. Josh helped us and checked our tire for free. He called around to get us the tires we needed because they didn't have them in stock. I had scheduled an oil change, tire rotation, and a quick safety check. Though I showed up early for my appointment, the service took just shy of TWO hours!!! When they presented me with a list of things I need to do to my car, the estimates were astronomical. For example, they wanted $150 to change my serpentine belt, a service I could get done for $70 elsewhere (or do for $20 myself). One of the justifications for the price of that service was an extra $12.00 to wrap the belt around the A/C unit, but I don't even have A/C!! I had brought my computer to keep myself occupied during my wait, since they advertised everywhere that they had free wi-fi, but it turns out it didn't work and the service rep said we would re-set the router, but never tried. In general the service techs seemed to be loitering around and I suspect my service might have suffered because my appointment was scheduled during lunch-time. In general, I would say steer clear of this place. I got the work they recommended done for less (and with better service) at Midas. read more

This Place Do Not Honor Their Appointments! I called in last week to make an appoint for an inspection this past Saturday 11/15/14. I was scheduled to come in at 11am. He got down my name, phone number and the type of vehicle. I showed up on Saturday at 11am and I went up to the front counteer to check in. I told him my name and said I an inspection schedule this morning. He looked up my name and he seemed confused. He then asked for my phone number. After scanning the monitor he told me "oh I can't find you anywhere in the system." I then told him I had already called in to make an appointment. He looked again but couldn't find my name anywhere. After 15 minutes I asked him how long is it going to be to get an appointment in today? He said I have to wait 120 minutes! I can't believe this. Feeling frustrated I walked out of their Firestone in Lacey WA. I called Firestone in Olympia to see if they have any opening for me on that same day. I gave the guy my information and as soon as I told him my phone number he immediately knew what type of vehicle I drive and scheduled me in the same day. I was surprised and I asked him how he knew my information. He said I'm in the system already. Obviously the Firestone in Lacey is not very well organized. After I left I decided to call the manager at the Firestone Lacey WA location to inform him how unhappy I am with the service at his location. I spoke to Chuck (manager). Instead of being apologetic he was making excuses for his employees. I asked him how come I was scheduled to come in on the morning but I when I came they couldn't find me in their appointments list? He told me the front counter guy is new. Then how come they scheduled me for Saturday if there's no openings? He said oh the guy who answered my phone is probably looking at the wrong date etc. He even told me the inspection takes 90 minutes to get done that's why I was told to wait 120 minutes. I went to the Firestone Olympia WA location and they got my car inspected within 30 minutes! Stay away from this Firestone Lacey location. Ok..... I have never done the Yelp thing but this place inspired me to create an account and voice what I feel these guys are all about...UPSELLING! I took my car to them and told them that my steering made a funny noise when I turned the wheel slightly. After I gave them my keys and the "mechanic" drove off in my car, he put it up on the rack and proceeded to take off all 4 of my tires...??? I asked the rep at the desk why would this be? He replied that their "inspection" required it. I didnt ask for an inspection as a matter of fact I told you EXACTLY where the problem might be. After about 45minutes of waiting, the rep called me up and proceeded to tell me that they "think" the problem might be with my control arms, at the time , i thought "kinda reaching there" (if your control arms are failing, you will feel a "clunk" on almost any bump, i didnt complain of that) they quoted me upwards of $1000.00 to repair this and again they said it might fix it, i assumed this to mean that they didnt know what the problem really was... i researched what a set of control arms would cost me. OEM parts for my car 1995 Mercedes SL500 would cost me ($128 ea) with avg .5hr labor per side, just didnt add up to me $1000???? then i read their quote....they were gonna charge me $450.00 per control arm! i couldnt believe it. plus they tacked on all kinds of other stuff they say my car needs....all in all my estimate came in at $3330.00. So buyers beware they will try to milk every dime out of you. In todays world I think its a shame for businesses to gouge unsuspecting customers. After having a mercedes expert look at my car.....the problem was found as a drag link... the OEM part will cost me $79.00 and putting it in will cost me roughly $40.00 not to mention his honesty and integrity has earned my business for life. I am writing this review based on my last few visits only and it is getting a 1 star simply because of one of the guys who I believe is named James. I actually don't know his real name as I would always refer to him as "Buck Bumble" an old school video game he was obsessed with. He was always a pleasure to deal with and had awesome customer service skills!! I would actually give him personally a 5 STAR! That being said I have recently had some issues that are making me question the 2 grand in services I have now had done by them in the last few years on both my cars. I had a normal service oil change done recently on my VW Passat as I have had done there since I purchased the vehicle this was one specifically was done about 6 months ago. I happened to notice the day after that my drive way had a huge oil spot as I was leaving for work. Got to work left there and noticed my parking stall also had a huge oil spot. Didn't know what was really going on as my car didn't leak prior to the oil change nor had it ever done this after one before. Called and we worked out a time I could get it in but being that I am a single parent with active in every sport children it wasn't for about a week after at which I just kept checking my oil and it didn't seem to be going down too much. When I went in to have them check it out they looked at it and said that it just seemed to be that "goo wasn't placed on it to seal the plug area and that it should be fine and if not I may want to try the dealer as they may have a better idea with my car as to what is going on". My brother who actually works on German cars but unfortunately lives in Spokane sent me some thing to add to my oil to try and hold it till I could get over to Spokane. Time went by and it still leaked some but not nearly as bad and I was do for an oil change so I went in to have it done (stupid I know) but like I said that had been my only issue with them ever. They changed the oil and then came out and told me the plug was stripped and that they could order and put in a "over sized plug" but that there was no guarantee it would work and that I would for sure need a new oil pan the next time I would need my oil changed which they gave me a bid for and it was over $800.00. So they changed the oil supposedly put in a over sized plug and it worked so they said. Got home parked on the street (as I have already ruined my driveway my parents driveway my work spot and a million other peoples driveways by now) once again a huge spot. Called them and was told "I needed to get the new oil pan done right away then". I didn't have $800.00 just laying around for a new oil pan so I called my brother and he found a place here German Car Services and thank god he did. I took my car to them and it was the simple fact that they did not replace "the crush washer" that needs to be replaced sometimes (or at least put back the one I had originally in it) when changing the oil in a VW. Literally a $2.00 at most part. I was extremely disappointed and am now left questioning everything they have supposedly done to my cars over the last few years!!! If you have a German Car I do not recommend taking it to the Lacey one at all as it appears they may not have a clue what they are doing even with something as simple as an oil change. German Car Services put in the "Crush Washer" and my car has not leaked a drop since. They didn't even charge me for that or cleaning up all the oil under the car that had leaked all over everything as my car was leaking oil for over 6 months. Not a happy person at all as I am still let with messes to clean up everywhere I have parked the last 6 months!!!! Lesson Learned here for sure and German Car Services will be getting my business in the future for sure!! read more

Be very careful if you have purchased their lifetime alignment services and if you don't know for a fact what is mechanically wrong with your car before you leave it in their hands. I went in for my yearly alignment, which was free because I purchased their free service several years back. A few hours after I dropped my car off, I received a call. I was told that my tire rods were bad and that they wouldn't be able to perform the alignment. I was quoted almost $300.00 for the tire rod service. I respectfully declined the service and picked up my car in the same condition I left it in. After going home and researching the procedure, I purchased the tire rods at a local auto parts store for $37.00 and had a local mechanic/friend replace the rods for me which only took a matter of 15 minutes. It was then that I was told that my old tire rods were perfectly fine, and had another 10 years of life left. If I had made the decision to let Firestone replace the rods, I would have never known that I had been taken advantage of. I am very saddened in my experience and fear this has happened to others before me, and probably still happens. read more

I was in the this Firestone today for a flat tire. The clerk at the front desk tried to tell me I needed all 4 tires replaced because they were all "low on tread". I had bought the 3 tires in question 5 months ago brand new from Garys tire factory right down the road. The tires only have about 6500 miles on them. When I told the attendent this all he could say was "I didnt personally look at them but that is what I was told". The only reason the 4th tire was not replaced was becuase my locking lug nut broke and Garys tire factory could not get it off. I am just wondering how many elderly or nieve people get ripped off going to this place. I will not be back and will not recommend this establishment to anyone. read more

Long story... but, the costumer service is non existent and the staff who I have had "interactions" with are incredibly rude, not helpful, argumentative, interrupt you when you speak, talk over you and eventually hang up on you. I have talked twice with the corporate office about the "experiences" I have had and I just recently spoke with the regional manager. The "manager" at the Lacey location is named Matt and there is a female customer service representative who I do not know the name of but their customer service is lacking in all aspects. Something happened two years ago and all the technicians/staff who i was familiar with have left, I'm assuming, and those who have come as replacements that I have interacted with are unsatisfactory. I suggest taking your business elsewhere like Discount Tire, as I did and I have not looked back since. On the other hand the Westside location is quite helpful and provide good customer service. I have also been a loyal firestone customer! This experience was even better than my local service! I was traveling back home (yakima) but stopped into Lacey due to my sensor light had come on for my tires! Of course this isn't the first time it has come on, I had mentioned it to my local Firestone they didn't tell me much about why it was doing that! So I stopped in thinking I could get that "second opinion" and sure enough I did! I walked in and there was a nice gentleman name Chuck standing there and he asked "how may I help you" I asked him if he could check my tire pressure! He said sure and we walked out to my car! As we are out there he said something I would have thought my local store would have noticed being I bought my tires from them! He asked me about the rims on my car, at first I wasn't seeing what he was then he explained that my right front tire rim was different than the rest, I was pretty much in shock! Chuck then explained that the reason my sensor was coming on was because of the rim, it wasn't the same for one and 2 it was missing the sensor Indicator that is located on the tire itself! I was made assure that it was ok to drive home and was told to contact my dealer ship and ask them for the correct rim! He had also given me a price quote for a sensor that Firestone sells! I highly recommend the Firestone in Lacey, Chuck was great with his skills and understanding! He seems like he is a great leader as I watched him help other co-workers with their questions and or concerns!
