I had the best experience at this location than I have had in a long time with any auto shop. They were friendly on the phone, accommodative, knowledgeable, helpful, and understanding. I called the arboretum location and tried to make a next day appointment: they didn't ask for what, they were rude, and they told me over a weeks wait. When I called this location Dave (tall Dave) answered the phone and got me in the next AM. He kept me up to date via phone about my car, and the cost. He was honest and up front. He found coupons and deals that I didn't even ask for. I was very happy and impressed. My car was done at lunchtime, a little earlier than expected. That never happens!!! If there were an option for zero stars I would use it. Do not get work done here! They will not take ownership if they make a mistake. The manager Nathan cant or won't produce the pictures of the original problem. In a matter of days this shop went from needing to replacing our water pump to needing to replace the thermostat to completely totaling our car. They screwed up so badly they didn't even charge us and told us to take the car to Toyota. Not having pictures of the original problem along with the shop not charging you for labor or parts is a HUGE RED FLAG. Do not use this shop. They will lie to you. Also Bridgestone owns Firestone. Their Customer Retention Specialist, Sarah Orrel will it get back to us. She and Bridgestone denied our claim without proof and without answering questions she sent over. Sarah has had more interaction with mechanics and service technicians than she's had with us. What a terrible retention specialist. I'll be going to the news with this problem as well. I took my 2017 Nissan Sentra to Firestone Monroe road location here in Charlotte, NC for an oil change and a tire rotation on April 24, 2025. I was told that I had a nail in the right rear passenger tire. The tire rotation was done and the bad tire with the nail was transferred to the front passenger side. Again, I'm thinking that the tire would have been repaired. On three occasions after leaving Firestone, I had to stop to put air in the tires, (I would have gone back earlier but I thought that it was just the heat that was causing the problems). Less than one month later I decided to go back to Firestone (Monroe Rd) to complain about low tire pressure. They checked it and declared that the tire was UN-fixable. Now the invoice a month earlier stated that there was a nail in the tire and stated that it was fixable. Now because I am a firestone card holder and I have firestone tires, the tire repair should have automatically been handled at no charge. I feel like my safety was jeopardized... My experience at Firestone at 10014 Monroe should be the gold standard for all auto service locations throughout the auto brands! When I arrived, Seth pleasantly greeted me and registered my car and I. He shared that he was in training which to me demonstrated excellent communication and also managed my expectations of him. While checking me in, he confirmed his moves with Jordan, which also speaks to their internal communication and training style. My appointment was made for the next day. When I arrived the next day, I was was checked in by the store manager, Kendell to came out as he noticed that Jordan was working with someone and didn't want me to wait. Here is the amazing part! While I was waiting for my car to be fixed, I witness JORDAN deal with a disrespectful and condescending customer with patience, respect and grace. Right after that customer, was another customer who passively took out their frustration on JORDAN and he again handled with grace, respect and excellent customer service! I then had an awesome conversation with the manager, Kendell. He educated me and dispelled myths that other auto service locations had shared, no doubt in efforts to get additional funds from me. He didn't rush me out, he SPOKE to me not through me like many other experiences I have had. NEVER have I had such an awesome experience at an auto care location, this reminded me of the times long ago you hear stories told where everyone knew and respected each other at general stores and such. I received excellent customer service, and education and the auto technicians did GREAT work on my car, I mean I wanted to bring them donuts when I left but didn't have time. After being refused service at the Firestone at the Arboretum - NOTE: I had a BOLT in my tire - I called this Firestone and Tenika Forte (Store Manager) did NOT hesitate to tell me to come right over and they would take care of me. The customer service here was awesome! I ended up having to buy a new tire which was reasonably priced and I was in and out within a reasonable time. THIS Firestone will be my new one. I've used Firestone over 30 years in SC and now in NC and this one is the BEST! Today was a slap in the face as a long-standing customer. Not only was my time wasted, but more than half the services I was scheduled for did not occur. I brought my car in at 9:10am expecting to wait. I stepped out to eat in the vicinity as I knew this would normally take between 2-2.5 hours. At 9:57am the service manager called recommending additional services I agreed to while also discussing an issue I had during a previous visit. Connor assured me he would make things right and we agreed to move forward with their recommendations. The expected ETA for completion was extended another 1-2 hours after speaking with Connor at 10:45am. I arrived at 1:20pm expecting for my vehicle to be ready as I was nearby as a waiting client; not a pickup. Not only was my vehicle still on the rack, but only 2 out of 7 services were completed. I came in for an oil change, state inspection, tire rotation, balancing of the tires, and an alignment. They recommended rear brakes/rotor replacement in addition to a brake fluid service. I immediately voiced my discernment and disappointment as this was more than half of my scheduled day off. They assured me they could have everything completed within one to two additional hours. Absolutely NOT. I asked for my car to be taken down and returned to me, which they complied. Thankfully the two service members in front assisted me as neither Frank (the original service agent) nor Connor (service manager) had returned to address the issue. It's absolutely insane and unfortunate to have your time wasted, but even more so receiving subpar service. There was clearly a HUGE break in communication and while part of my the service was comped that I received; I cannot get my time back and STILL have to find additional time to have everything else completed. Firestone is a reliable brand and somewhere that I have faithfully visited for any repair and maintenance to my vehicle. They certainly aren't the most affordable option, but I believe in paying for quality work and service. The service was simply not there and I cannot attest to the work as it wasn't completed. Had a misfire on cylinder 2 and they quoted me nearly $2k to have it replaced because of "other issues " took it down the street to a local mechanic who fix the coil and spark plug and it has been running great since for only $200 bucks. I have been coming to this location for two years for basic needs like oil changes. Frank assisted me on my last visit, he has a very nasty disposition about himself, almost making you want to leave the whole establishment and go elsewhere. He will also charge you the highest thing possible, if you don't ask questions. Like $69 for an oil change in a 2013 Hyundai. When I asked questions it automatically changed to $29. If I wasn't for my experience with the service manager Conor the first time I visited this week I would have left. With an attitude like that Frank definitely shouldn't be the welcoming face of that establishment. Let him run things in the back, he doesn't like people. This place is good if it's close and you are in a bind. it isn't the worst, the people aren't all terrible . The workers in the back are FAR more helpful and flexible than the ones that check you in . But if you don't have an appointment be prepared to for them to appear overwhelmed and put out. The front staff acted like they don't have people coming in daily for flat tires or emergencies. The guy at the front was completely overwhelmed and acted like it's been "such a day" when a man came in asking for a car inspection at 245, they close at 7, and he acted like he might not be able to make it happen( even though he had an appointment. ) The waiting room is gross. My car AC hasn't been running as cool as it should lately so I dropped it off to be checked out. As I suspected, they said it was low on freon. They did the service and I went to pick it up. Honestly I don't think they even did the service. My car AC is running EXACTLY the same as before. Looking at the bill, I think they overcharged me (billing for longer than the service should've taken, for example). But I guess with a national chain I should've expected a higher price. I have never been to a more despicable dishonest establishment in my life. I get that girls sometimes get taken advantage of by auto guys and I always like to hope this isn't true. So I go in to get a new tire because I got a flat and they tell me I need an alignment, giving me a long explanation about it making sense so I get one. Flash forward 7 months, I need 3 new tires. I go into the shop and they tell me once again I need a new alignment and that since its been over 6 months it's not under warranty. Look I'm not an idiot I've been driving for 10 Years and I don't drive in a way that has ever made me need an alignment so quickly. I told Ryan at the front desk that I thought I was duped and he said oh no no our tech so and so did it and he's our lead guy. He knows better than anyone. So I get my original paperwork and show it to a mechanic friend... My friend looks at the diagram and says wow your car was in spec the first time you got a tire. You never needed an alignment in the first place! Not only that... But they gave you your car back with the steer head adjusted perfectly but the back was completely out of spec!!!! They made me spend unnecessary money and then made my car worse!!!!! My friend uses the same machines as this Firestone so he tells me specifically what to say to the guy. Ryan then tells me that the reason my back was out of spec was because you can't adjust Honda Accords without a shim (my friend told me this was a lie). I really really needed 1 of the tires replaced, so I had them do that 1 while deciding I would inconvenience myself and go get the other 2 at an honest shop then next week. So an hour later, I get my car back with my new tire and Ryan says to me "good news, I was able to get you a new alignment under warranty". Well thanks jerk for never apologizing, making excuses for employees, and fixing something under warranty that never even needed fixing when you made me do it in the first place!!!! These are crooks. Took my jeep there to get new tires. When I went to pick it up they didn't go over the final bill with me which I thought was odd. After I paid, I noticed they added "Roadside hazard care" without asking me which was an additional $200 on the final bill. They also failed to tighten the lug nuts on the spare tire and fortunately I noticed it before they fell off. Thankfully, they tightened all the lug nuts on the wheels. read more

We went to Firestone last month because my wife's car wouldn't start. I thought she needed a battery. I jumped the car to get it there. The manager greeted us and I told her my wife's wouldn't start. I said, "we just need a battery". The manager said she would tell the mechanics' to do tests. It took two hours to pull it into the garage! The manager said we need a new battery and alternator! They gave us a quote for $1,000! I cleaned the battery terminals and it started up and it has ever since I cleaned the terminals. I went back and told the manager. She was very defensive and abrupt! She said, "it was only a quote". I know if I said "go ahead and do the work", they would do it! What if my daughter and/or wife (they don't know anything about cars). I asked them to find the leak and all they did was drain and recharge the ac. Biggest waste of $180 ever. I can recharge it myself. I dropped my car off for a simple oil change. When I picked it up, it was not driving as smoothly when I dropped it off. I believe the clueless mechanic who worked on my car rotated my tires and knocked something loose. Furthermore, Frank did me a complete disservice and only offered to check out why the noise was occurring but made clear That I would have to pay for any costs to correct the issue. My car was 100 percent in perfect shape until I picked up my vehicle. I drove off the lot and was gone for only 5 minutes before I noticed the issue and drove right back to Firestone. This should have been the responsibility of firestone to correct the situation. Also, the mechanic was not knowledgeable and by his mannerisms and lack of clarity, it could've been his first day. When he drove the car after I brought it back, he said, "yea, I hear that noise" and looked at the clerk, Frank and said, "what could that be?" Like he just had no idea and never worked on cars before. His next motive should have been to take the car to the garage and figure it out but he just acted like he was clueless on what to do next. Who hired these people at this location? They lack judgement. And frank, the clerk, he needs to learn to be more customer friendly and leave that passive attitude at the door when he comes to work. I've been here twice for two separate repairs/services. As with any large automotive chain, the prices are steep. Be sure to take a look at your itemized invoice. They like to add on hidden charges. My biggest problem with this place, they are never close to finishing their work on time. If they tell you 30 minutes, it will take 3 hours. To rub salt on the wound, you look in the garage and no one is working. They sit around drinking in coffee most of the time. read more

Another bad experience with Firestone on Monroe Rd in Charlotte, previous to me bringing my car back in yesterday March 6, 2018 for an unresolved brake issue (4), I had to bring it back 4 times to have my belts, which I might add, weren't squeaking or causing me any issues prior to being told they need to be changed, I agreed to have them replaced, thinking the technician saw something.......ahhhh bullshit, they have to sell and deceive their customers and that is what happened to me. I have an Infinity M35X 2006, I usually never bring my car to the dealer for anything once the cars warranty has expired, back in Connecticut, I brought it to Firestone, unbeknownst to me, that all Firestones are not like the one back home. I only brought by car to the dealer due to me having so many bad experiences with Firestone, the technician at Infinity told me I needed my brakes done, this was back in Feb/Mar 2017, RELUCTANTLY, I went back to Firestone they were a bit less than Infinity's prices.... Guess what? I take my car back to Infinity for some work and they tell me I need my brakes done, I believed them due to the pulsating when trying to stop, brought my car back to Firestone since they did the job.....Yep you guessed it, they said my brakes are fine...SMDH, so if I come up dead due to not being able to stop due to driving around Charlotte without brakes, this is the reason why. read more

The person working was rude and interrupted me asking if I had an appointment. He seemed shocked that I dare step foot in the business and ask for a service. We were then told we entered through the wrong door by another employee. He clearly wanted to inform us of this information, even though we clearly entered through the door labeled "annual car inspections here." He seemed irritated, and again, shocked that we would dare step foot in and ask for a service. Maybe I'm confused? All it takes is a simple lesson in how to talk to people. They knew I needed to wait for my vehicle at their establishment, but made no effort to update me as to the estimated completion time. First, the female (manager?) who works here is great. Sorry if you're reading this, but your staff is awful. I just paid nearly $900 for 4 tires on my MINI. When I picked it up, there was so much of the lubricant/residue all over my wheels that I immediately had to go detail my car. I get it's their job to install, but this looked like I had melted a candle on each wheel - ridiculous. Asked them to remove it and was told "well it will come off when it rains." Uh no. Finally got them to rinse the wheels and the guy had to scrub it off. Won't be back here! read more

Great experience. Team members (esp Earl C.) did a great job. Very welcoming, provided excellent customer service by being attentive to each person that he dealt with. After dropping the car off for a non-scheduled service (Oil change, tire rotation, alignment), they called and let me know is the recommended services in addition to those that we had already discussed... They were not trying to "upsell" but rather just verify what the manufacturer recommended. They fully explained the reasons I might want to do something and whether they would feel comfortable waiting versus moving forward today. Routine maintenance was completed within two hours, with clear options of what I might want to do in the future... And they found and applied two coupons to the service, upon my request. Long story short, I do need some tires, but should be good with what I've got for another 5-10,000 miles. This particular Firestone is the worst, rude ... I brought my car in to have my tires rotated, the staff was unable to remove the tires due to the key for the lugs were not visible, in their plight to make money they advised me that I needed to have replaced My A/C compressor drive belt at a cost of 185.87, I picked up my car on my lunch break, when I got off work at 8pm, started it up it squealed so loudly I thought the belts we're going to snap right then and there, that was Dec 23rd. The following day I Christmas Eve I got busy and forgot to call until I got into my car and it squealed loudly again, it was after or close to 4pm and they were closed for the Holiday. I called them on Monday Dec 26 to bring my car in the following day Tuesday Dec 27, the man I talked to said to just drop it off and the belts probably needed to be adjusted, unfortunately I was unable to drop my car off that day so I called to advise Firestone I wouldn't be dropping my car off, could I come in Wed Dec 28, he said no problem I could bring it in and leave it to be adjusted, when I arrived to drop it off, I was told I had to leave it all day until 7pm, no problem I'll pick it up after 8pm when I got off work, they advised me they won't lock my keys in my car due to safety issues (break ins etc) so I made an appointment for Today Thursday Dec 29 was told I could wait and I would be out before I needed to be to work.... WELL THAT WAS ANOTHER LIE, when I arrived now I'm being told that it may take all day due to they don't know what the issue is.....WHAT THE HELL DOES THAT MEAN....your mechanic replaced belts that probably didn't need to be replaced in the first place, Firestone had to make a profit somehow and the mechanic had no idea what he was doing...The one thing I don't have is time or money to waste read more

THIS REVIEW IS FOR THE MONROE ROAD LOCATION We were shocked, surprised and grateful for a FULL REFUND from this location for services the end of December 2014. We wrote a review which stated our dissatisfaction of services that the group at the time did not communicate with us appropriately. We needed additional vital work and was told ONLY when we came to pick up the vehicle late in the day. We did not have time to have the work done and were NOT told / called to let us know this problem existed. We naturally thought this WAS part of the job at hand. I was greeted properly and in a friendly manner. I was quoted a price for two tires which was reasonable but the add ons that were never explained along with the alignment I was pressured to get pushed the cost way up. I was told twice that they would rotate my tires and put the new ones on the back. That didn't happen as the new ones were put on the front. I participated in a survey and didn't give high marks. I received an email saying sorry and I would get a call in two days to help resolve my issues. I never got that call. read more

Rip Off - they like to charge for unnecessary replacement. I brought it in for an inspection and they first told me it needed a new battery to pass. Then I had to bring it back because they said replacing the batter will clear the emission computer and it needed at least 50 miles on it to have sufficient data. The second time, they say so need new wipers. However the wipers were replaced a month ago at the dealership. I did see the repair tech, when he got in, turn the wipers on and leave the on - there was no rain and he ran the wipers on a dry windshield. He continued to drive it into the bay, leaving the wipers on to damage them. Completely dishonest so they can charge another $30 for wiper blades on top of the new battery costing $165. Both times they said it will not pass without replacement and if you say you will do it yourself, they still want to charge for the inspection and a re-inspection Watch them carefully but I would avoid this place as it scams you. read more

I have been bringing my cars to this location for years now - from the time they come from the dealership. I even travel from a different city specifically for this location. The technicians are personable and easy to deal with. The only thing is, prepare to wait. When people find a good place, they tend to come back,, so they're almost always busy. My wife and I take our cars here, and now my sister, niece, and aunt take their cars here. Alex is our go-to mechanic. He's a bit crazy, but aren't we all? I like to think that having a good and honest mechanic is like having a good and honest lawyer, and he's the only mechanic I trust. He's the type to tell you possible issues, differentiate the issues between "definitely needs attention" v. "you can get away with not getting it done", give you options, and let you choose. So I don't ever feel like I'm being pressured into having work done just so the store can make their numbers, yet I always feel like I'm driving a car that's going to be safe for me and my family, including my two little girls. But just to forewarn anyone thinking about asking for Alex specifically, he has a strong following! So I'd recommend calling ahead and asking for an appointment if you're going to ask for him specifically. read more
