It started about 2 months ago when my engine seized and I was stuck at the Infiniti dealership in Charlotte. They told me it would cost approximately $18,000.00 for a new engine and my heart dropped. I asked Infiniti who would they recommend to do an engine replacement and they said Christian Brothers. I called Christian Brothers and spoke with Logan, he was able to give me some good information on my situation and based on our conversation, I decided to have my vehicle brought to t he eir shop. Logan was able to confirm what Infiniti told me and offered several options on how to move forward. He was in constant contact with me every step of the process of replacing my engine. However, come to find out that not only did I need to replace my engine but also the transmission because it was damaged due to the seized engine. It was news that I hated to hear yet I did trust that Logan was being honest with me and he did work with me on the price. Also, other issues came up with the repair but instead of charging me for certain repairs, they decided to take care of the cost. When I finally received my vehicle back, there was some other issues that came up and when I called Logan, he was responsive and had the issues resolved at no charge to me. Overall, having my engine seize up and then my transmission being damaged was a very difficult experience and hearing bad news after bad news didn't help, however I trusted Logan and I trusted the previous reviews I read. Overall, this experience was very good and I would definitely recommend Christian Brothers for auto repairs.

We decided to have it checked out, to see what the problem was. (We could see $$$ in our minds.) Coffey's has performed other work on our cars, in the past, so we took it to them and left it, while they investigated the problem. A couple of hours later, David called and told us the A/C was working and we could come pick it up. The best part: it cost us a lot less than other repair shops wanted to charge! Then they found out GM no longer manufactured my engine, so it would cost $7K for them to put in a used one. That didn't sound right to me, so I called Coffey to see when I could bring my car by the shop. I didn't tell them what the other repair shop told me. Coffey said it was the thermostat, and charged me $372. A big difference from $7K. Needless to say, I won't be going back to the shop that tried to cheat me. The whole experience has been a whirlwind of an experience…read more We first went just to look at a new Sequoia, luckily, they had one on the lot to see. We worked with Frisco, who was great and not pushy. We decided we wanted to go ahead with the purchase and Frisco and his team worked their magic to not only get us approved, but to find us a vehicle coming in brand new in about a week. (Which was no issue since we had a vehicle we were trading in to use in the meantime.) We completed half the paperwork that night. After a week, the vehicle came in and we went the next day to finish signing everything and trade in vehicles. After a few hours, we finally were on our way in our brand new 2025 Sequoia. That afternoon as we were driving home, which was an hour away, we noticed the air conditioning not working. We thought maybe because it was a brand new car, it needed to get the fluids running and gave it time. The following day (a Thursday), we received a call stating the financing bank sent back paperwork because the signatures were 'off the line'. We made the trek back to the dealer, all while confirming the A/C did not work. When we got to the dealer, we were greeted where we explained we were just there to fix a signature, but also needed to speak to someone regarding the issue on our new car. We waited for quite a while just to fix the signature and then were left to wait for a manager. We waited over an hour before we finally got to speak with someone. That was when they notified us we couldn't get our brand new car serviced for another couple days. Keep in mind, we had 2 children under 3 and live an hour away. We had to drive home in a car with no AC and the thrill of a new car, gone. We went to the Toyota dealership in Salisbury that was a lot closer to us, where they proceeded to tell us that the manufacturer forgot to add Freon which was why the air conditioning wasn't working. After they kept it a couple hours, they got the car fixed. After a week, we packed our car to go on a trip and found the AC had gone out AGAIN. We had to drive our broken, brand new vehicle 10 hours with little kids with no AC to Florida. The dealership there kept it another week, unable to get the part in to fix it. So we had to make the same trip back to NC in the heat. We dropped the car off at Scott Clark the Monday when we got back, we worked with Laney. We told her exactly what was going on and what the other dealerships had done/told us. She told us it had to be submitted through warranty and that she wasn't sure if it was covered. IT WAS A BRAND NEW CAR. The rental side of the dealer however, told us it was covered and they proceeded to get us a rental. Laney called us back that evening and stated the part should take 2-3 weeks and asked us if we wanted the car back. We told her no and that the rental needs to be covered. A week and a half later, we get the call that the part has been fixed and the car is good to go. We asked if she could get the car detailed for us due to the inconvenience and for all the stress this brand new 80K car has caused for us. She told us no, and then proceeded to get frustrated that our frustration was going to cause her to get in trouble. She told us she'd run the car through the car wash and that was it. When we picked up the car, it had not been washed. Laney was not there and the service dept rep didn't even know who we were or what car we were picking up. We gave our name and they asked if it was a different car. That's when we had to tell them the exact car we were picking up. Then it took another 30 minutes to watch it sit behind the gate because the driver forgot to bring it around for us. Needless to say, once you make the purchase, the customer service goes away. You do not feel important and your purchase is just another check on their board. We got this brand new car and it spent the first month and a half getting repairs and missing out on the free amenities.

I explained to him that I had a rim and tire warranty, provided him the contract number, phone number, and my vehicle information. He said he would contact them and get it squared away. I was thrilled at this point. Fast forward to 3:45 pm, I returned to see if it was complete. It hadn't been touched. I assumed the story would be that they were busy and hadn't got to it yet or something. That was not the case. I got a story about how Reese called the warranty company and waited on hold for 30 mins, then got transferred and then put on hold for 40 more minutes and then hung up on. There was no attempt to contact me to update me to let me know. There was no attempt to try again. Just threw his hands up and gave it the ole "i tried." So, as I had called them already that morning to let them know I was going to open a claim, I knew the wait time wasn't longer than 5 minutes. So, standing in front of Reese, I called the warranty company and was immediately helped by a nice woman on the phone. I handed the phone to Reese so he could interface directly and convey the information necessary to begin working on my rim and tire. After about 10 minutes, he handed the phone back and said he was all set. I confirmed he was all set with the woman who was still pleasantly on the phone who told me, the claim was authorized and, if the rim was damaged, it was also covered. So, I looked at Reese and confirmed it back to her out loud, "the claim is authorized." To which, Reese nodded in agreement. I told him, I would return later after I picked up my kids. Fast forward again to 6:45pm. I returned to what I thought would be my completed tire/rim. It, again, hadn't been touched. I got the same story about hold and wait times. Apparently, Reese couldn't find a vendor number to charge the job to and again, threw his hands up when presented with a challenge instead of asking his coworkers or manager. I attempted to call the warranty company again, as I had done before, but they were now closed for the weekend. So, now I would need to wait until Reese, the incompetent tire technician, could contact them on MONDAY to ascertain this mysterious vendor number. I asked him why he didn't just call me, to which he replied, "I did, 3 times." I showed him the distinct lack of missed calls on my call log and he then read back the incorrect number from the computer. The fun part about this is that when he wrote it down at 1:15pm, I had corrected his incorrect transcription of my number on the paper he used to transfer the information into the system with. I verified it was correct on the paper before leaving. It happened to be the very same paper he wrote the number of the warranty company and contract number on. Now, I get to waste more of my time on Monday on a job that could have been done in 30 minute today if I had just had even a semi-competent tire technician. Do not let Reese touch your car. If he's as incompetent at working on your tires as he is at simple task like inputting information into a computer, confirming information is correct, using a phone to call people, and telling customers the truth, your car will likely catch on fire as soon as you leave.
