Visited Firestone in an emergency recently. My daughter's tire had gone flat and most of the other shops were already closed on a Sunday. But Firestone was open and they had a technician available to repair the tire. During his inspection, he noted that the rims had corrosion on them and the tires were not sealing well to the rims. He recommended I get a new rim, four new tires, and also told me that the engine coolant reservoir was empty. This was valuable information. So he topped off the coolant, filled up the tires, and sent me on my way. I took the car to a tire specialist the next day and they told me I just needed new tires and the rims would be fine with a little targeted cleanup. I am thankful that Firestone was open, they temporarily fixed the tire problem, and they identified an issue with the coolant system. read more

I recently brought my vehicle in to fix a low tire. I have road hazard and had purchased 4 sets of tires over the past 5 years. I called in the morning and asked to bring vehicle in and was told yes, but would need to leave and pickup. Okay, dropped it off at 10am, told them I needed to go to work at 3:30. They confirmed. I called to check at 1, they confirmed it wilfully be ready. At 3:30 when I arrived it hadn't been touched. I called and made arrangementsnts in advance, because day prior I had first stopped without an appt and they weren't able to do it then. Now I am at Gateway Tire, they are fixing, no appt, no hassle. I've been a customer of Firestone (Medina, Middleburg Heights, Strongsville, and Parma) for almost ten years. Most of the alignments I've had done have been correctly performed. However, I will say I have had a handful that have been problematic. This includes being questioned by staff about my personal integrity, maintenance done to my car, and overall quality of service. Firestone is consistent when it comes to assuming their customer is a complete idiot. You will be treated as if you lack any mechanical knowledge of your vehicle. According to them, it's their way or the highway. Do not dare challenge their judgement, or you are automatically wrong. I say this not having one or even two, but many bad experiences. on a Tuesday I picked out tires on line and scheduled an apointment to have them installed the following Saturday. I get to the store and they tell me they don't have the tires. no phone call or email was sent to me at all. Horrible customer service! Reach out and say hey we need to reschedule or something. The manager could care less. Avoid this place at all costs. They do not care about your business. There are several other tire stores in Medina that would love your business. I had a great experience with Firestone - specifically the manager David - he was personable and knowledgable. I had an EV get a flat tire in the late afternoon on a Saturday. The tow got us to Firestone shortly before close. David checked us in, and did a thorough and competent review. We replaced two tires so as not to have pull, and had them rotated. They had the job done by mid-morning on the next day (Sunday). The service and price was reasonable. read more

If you lack automotive knowledge, stay far far away from Firestone.. I went in to get an alignment on two vehicles. Both times they failed to adjust the tow of the wheel and claimed they didn't have the tool to correctly preform that adjustment.. they charged me full price for both vehicles after failing to correctly align them and to add fuel to the fire, the tech took my old car for a joy ride and I had to watch him go for three laps around the parking lot in my incorrectly aligned vehicle.. this establishment is a joke and the managers don't even have a clue what's going on. read more

My elderly mother's van broke down on her way to PA from Columbus. She uses Firestone in Columbus all the time and this was the closest location for her to go to for repairs. The had her van for 5 more days than originally quoted and gave her the run around the entire time. Upon finally getting her van back after a week and sitting there waiting for it to be completed for 8 hours she paid and was happy to go home. When she returned home she saw a charge on her bill for $180 stating that they had to move a few boxes from her front seat. She has called and been told that the manager would be in touch twice and has never gotten a response from them. Absolutely horrible business practices and they completely took advantage of my mother. read more

My family and I recently had car problems on a trip away from home. We were 2 hours away from our house and the car started having issues. Luckily we got off the freeway and safely made it to the Firestone in Medina, Ohio. The staff went above and beyond to help us talk through our options and attempt to diagnose the issues. They also helped us with lunch with 3 kids in tow! Marissa and Kenny as well as the other employees made us feel welcome for all the time we spent in the waiting room, and we heard them give that same attention and courtesy to ever single other customer who called and came in person. Thought I needed a tire it was a simply valve replacement. Tire monitor system. They took care of it fast and easy

GO ANYPLACE ELSE. My Subaru was spilling oil so it needed a new head gasket and oil pan. They said it would take a week. Took them TWO. I took it back FOUR times because the oil kept spilling. The final time, all they needed to do was DRIVE IT AROUND to figure the problem. Finally, after months, oil spilt once again. They had put on the WRONG OIL PAN. They offered no apology or complimentary deals. DO NOT GO TO FIRESTONE MEDINA. read more

Never will go again. Tried to tell me that I had loose wheel bearings on the front two tires and it could be catastrophic. Wanted $900. Took it to a reputable outfit in town to get a second opinion and there is nothing wrong with the car. I hate that type of scummy business practices. Too bad. read more

Charged me for balancing and a valve stem(neither of which they did). Jeff was unapologetic and rude while informing me(after they charged my card $190) that there is nothing he can do without a manager present. He couldn't even void the whole transaction. Then told me I had to come back on Monday to get my refund. I told him that I wasn't trying to be a d$*& but they charged me for something that they did not do. He told me,"Well you kind of are being one." Call me weird, but I expect a business to act like I am not being unreasonable when they try to steal money from me and I immediately ask for it back. 12 bucks wont break me and honestly isn't worth my time on Monday morning but they should be organized enough to only charge you for what they actually do. BTW they have a quote about honesty from Mr. Firestone himself prominently displayed in their lobby, maybe they should read it themselves. read more

I used to go to this location every time I needed tires or service and it was always fantastic. That changed after last week. I had a nail in my tire and had to get my tire replaced. I called them up and they helped me identify the tire needed and said they would get it ordered that day (Friday), so I could have it fixed that next day. I travel for work and expressed the need to get it done and was so appreciative that they could not only order the tire, but put it on my car the following day. So that next day my parents took my car in and no one had a record that they talked to me, and they did NOT order the tire. So I called them to find out what happened and talked to a guy named Chris who didn't apologize for the issue, but did promise to order the new tire and call me on Monday (today) to get the new tire on my car. Well, I got no call and had to go elsewhere to fix my tire due to their negligence. I understood ordering the tire takes some time but both guys said they would take care of it but instead dropped the ball. If you are looking for reliability, you will not get it here. I ended up taking it to NTB 10 minutes away from here and they were able to fix the tire in a timely manner. Avoid this place. read more
