I want to start by saying Felicia was so helpful and made my long wait time more tolerable. She is great at customer service. Appointments are relative right. I had an 8am appointment but for the work I needed done the technician to complete the work was not scheduled to come in until 9:30am. I was able to go the gym in the same shopping center and eat lunch nearby while they worked on my vehicle. From drop off to leaving the lot I was there all day; a solid 7 hours. As far as the price, it was expensive but all work was completed. My 4 star rating is because of Felicia. read more

My car was towed to the Firestone on Park and Mt. Moriah on Wed April 22 because it was stuck in reverse. Once I called to confirm the car had been received, I waited for a call back. I called the next morning and was told by Holly it was being pulled into the bay to be looked at. I called back at the end of the day Thur and they told me they had not looked at it because the engine guy was busy. On Fri afternoon (after still not hearing anything), Holly told me they needed to get a part from the dealership and it would likely come in Tues.On Tues morning, DEITRYCK (store's manager) answered and told me they wouldn't be working on it and had "forgot" to call and tell me. They held my car for a week. We lost income and a whole week without a vehicle because they "forgot". Then, DEITRYCK had the nerve to tell me that 'I wasn't helping the situation" by being upset. He took 0 responsibility and seemed to care less because he knew him nor the store would be held accountable in any way. You are messing with peoples' lives. Poor service before I only tried them again because I knew exactly what I needed - 2 tires specific brand size and tire rotation so the 2 new tires are on rear (managet doing me the favor said that was industry standard) appt made. Show up for appt and they have no knowledge of appt or my need. Say they will do it as a favor. Come back to pick up the car the 2 new tires are on the front. Manager says 5 minutes we will fox the tech is new in training I ask for a senior tech and this car is for my son to drive to college - I don't want a tech that doesn't know industry standards manager then says tech has 24 years experience - then why put the tires on the front?? Then manager says I'm rude and disrespectful, but customers near me walk by and say I'm not, I'm polite and to hold my ground. I had an appointment at 11:30 got there at 10:50 still didn't pull my car in till after 12:00 took iver 3 hours to get 4 tires a front end alignment and oil change. When they did get finished didn't even park it back in front of the store had to walk all around and back 3 times and the man at the front desk found it on the side they never park it at. I ask to keep my 2 back tires has to go back in the store and the guy went to find them. My husband took my car to Firestone for a tire replacement. They replaced one tire, rotated and realigned my car, but neglected to check any tire pressure! When I drove my car on the interstate this morning, the low tire warning came on for all tires. When I called to let them know, the person handling my call was not concerned, didn't ask any questions to address the issue with the mechanic, just said sorry. Took my car in with a a flat . They told me I had a screw and repaired and charged me an ridiculous $34.00 Guy acted like I was getting a deal. Next day tire was flat . Took to another tire shop and they said there was no patch from a repair . The tire had an internal tear and tire needed to be replaced . Run, don't walk out of this place. Upcharge city, right here. Electric fan not working on daughters car. Brought it in,asked to diagnose the issue - is it the fan motor, a relay, or a sensor? Counter guy said he'd have to perform pressure test for sure. I said NO, it never overheated. Just do what I asked. Left car there against my better judgment, but was in a hurry, going out of town. Next day, they say we need almost $1400 work. I said no and had my daughter pick it up and pay whatever owed. They charged just under $100 to say, yep the fan motor was out. Pretty much double what I thought reasonable. They gave her a list of needed maintenance (interesting because I do all oil changes and basic maintenance on her car). -Air filter $35 SCAM - I changed it 8 days before when I changed the oil. -Cabin Air Filter. $60 - $36 filter, $22 labor - SCAM - I changed it exactly 6 weeks earlier (for $17 filter, takes about 90 sec to change with no tools). I've been here twice, both for tire pressure issues only. They are great at balancing tires and making sure you walk out of there happy. The employees there are really nice. I've never had a negative interaction! They are great at explaining what they plan to do and are upfront about the charges so there are no surprises. Despite the great employees, when you go in, just expect to wait. Like a long time. First, I waited in line for 15 min and there were only two people ahead of me. Then it took them forever to get to my car. First time, I waited about three hours just to have them check my tires for nails and put air in them. Each time it "should be ready soon" was said and I decided to just wait, could have been time better spent browsing at TJ Maxx or getting some food. The second time I left my car with them at noon, got a ride back to the office, and when I came back at 6pm, the car wasn't ready. I'm not sure what happened, but I was just going in to get my tires balanced and get air put in. This place does do a really good job and I totally trust them with my car, but the wait can be a bit painful. read more

These people were nice in the beginning. Only when they think, oh yea you should over pay and get it fixed here. I went to get my car to take it to another place someone suggested that has much higher reviews than Firestone. Their estimate is less than half what firestone quoted. I won't go to this firestone ever again. I probably won't go back to any of them. These people expect you to pay more outta pocket than you should. Shame on Firestone. And the manager joe at this location didn't seem thrilled when I called to ask about my car the next day. Couldn't even give me a proper quote and they didn't even give me a print out of what was wrong even though I had paid to have it checked, I should have gotten something telling me exactly what was wrong and what needed to be fixed. I took my wife's Acura in there and for its first set of new brake pads. Hey told me it needed new rotors. You don't replace the rotors every time you replace the brake pads. And you certainly don't do it every 40,000 miles. A coworker just took in his vehicle and they told him the same thing. He needed new pads and rotors. Go to Midas instead. read more

Cost $200 for a battery, they recommend a towing service that broke my tail light. The towing service agreed to fix it but had to take it to a body shop of their choosing that was 10 miles from my house. No offer from Firestone or towing company to compensate me for my time to get their mistake fixed. Felt completely ripped off. read more

It's unfortunate that you can't do less than 1 star, if you could, I would. I stopped in this shop for a $10 ac check(found a coupon on their site) turns out they can do this because they way overcharge for everything else. The issue was a faulty hose, but they required an additional $150 service to find this out(ac recharge) which is only $80-$100 at other shops, including the good year right around the corner. But I got the service because once the issue they would probably find is fixed, they will recharge it again for free. But the kicker is that they charge $245($135 for part and $110 for labor) to replace a hose I can get for $51 across the street at autozone and do myself in about 5 minutes. So then they tell me that the recharge is only if THEY do the repair. I spoke with a corporate representative who told me last Friday an area manager would be in contact in 24-48 hours, it's been 5 days and nothing. The manager(Antonio) also told me that me being upset wasn't an issue or worry of his because "look at my parking lot, it's full". Absolute garbage. The only decent interaction with this place was a guy named John who tried to talk off topic with me to calm me down. John was great, but is probably never given the recognition he deserves. I went in today with a flat tire I needed repaired. I was expecting the worst and afraid they would take advantage of me somehow but I was very pleasantly surprised. My tire didn't qualify for repair but I got it replaced for under $40. (I had purchased them from a Firestone originally but was afraid I was out of any warranty) They did some diagnostics and let me know my battery would need replacement soon but just gave me an estimate and sent me on my way without any pressure. I did have a bit of a wait during which I saw them treat every customer they deal with courteously. I will certainly be back when the time comes for more tires. read more

I don't live in the city. I was actually in Memphis to visit family. I decided that I was going to get gift cards as a gift for someone that needed to get their tires realigned. I walked into the store and stood there. There was an employee on the end talking about a saying he had seen this year "I've lost a lot of friends and a lot of money. And all I want is the money back. "Then he started to continue talking about how his friends haven't grown up. Then another employee came up and they proceeded to have a conversation. Not once did anybody ask me if I needed any help. Within five minutes seven employees had gathered around in the front talking about something in New Brunswick. Finally Addison said can I help you. Not sorry for the wait hi how are you thank you for being so patient. Whoever the manager is and I believe his name is Joe needs to teach his employees about how customer service . Never have I ever been so disrespected in a FIRESTONE establishment. I have gone to Firestones throughout the country and by far this was the worst customer service.Mind you I work for a fortune 500 company that deals with customer service. DO NOT RENT FROM HERE - UPDATE: Please take the time to click on the link for "other reviews that are not currently recommended" for this store. 2 of those 3 reviews received 1 star. One of those reviews is dated January 17, 2015 and represents my very first posting on Yelp. This is my second so you can see that I don't do this often. Anyway, I had been more than completely dissatisfied (i.e. taken advantage of) over a situation where I ended up paying $1,400 for a new radiator ($200 more than I received a quote on later from my Lexus guy when I asked line by line what I would have been charged for the same service on my wife's 2007 RX350). Included in that $1,400 was a $99.99 charge for a coolant flush, antifreeze, etc. in conjunction with the new radiator. Anyway, I'll let you go back and read that initial review. However, I thought I would provide you an update. So I took my wife's car in to Lexus for routine maintenance less than 3 months after getting taken to the woodshed by Firestone in East Memphis. They called me to discuss a few things that we might need to consider, but mentioned that we really needed to replace the coolant because it was extremely dirty and Lexus recommends that be done at 100,000 miles. Her car now has about 145,000 miles, but I told them they must be joking since Firestone just did this when replacing the radiator less than 3 months ago. He said he wasn't joking so I made them take pictures and everything. Here is the exact quote and statement on my bill from Lexus. "Coolant full of debris. Also not the correct antifreeze to water ratio. Appears to have water only added to the cooling system resulting in a further break down of the coolant and cooling passages." I did choose to pay Lexus the $108 to replace the engine coolant because I actually have confidence that it will be done and done correctly. I'm sure that this is all just a big coincidence so if you want to take the risk and go to this Firestone location then don't say I didn't try to warn you by taking the time to do my only two posts ever. I've been taking my vehicle to Firestone for a year or two now. I can't say enough good things about the staff here. Everyone who has every helped me has been patient, knowledgeable, and helpful. I'm bad with names, but I do remember Rob. This company is not hungry for money, like you would expect a car repair shop to be. They genuinely care about helping you find the best solution to your problem. I took my car in once because I knew it had an oil leak. Instead of charging me an arm and a leg and telling me lies to make an extra buck, Rob took his time explaining the oil leak to me and explained how everything under the hood works (I know nothing about cars), and basically told me it wouldn't be worth my money to fix it and to just keep adding oil ever so often. Then today even, I had a flat tire on the way to work. Firestone was the first place I called since I trust them a lot. I spoke with Rob again. He said they'd be glad to help me out, but to call my insurance first to make sure I couldn't use my insurance services for free instead of paying to have Firestone come out and fix it. So I took his advice and called my insurance and got it fixed up. They even tell you about coupons on their website if they know they have one that applies to your situation. I just really appreciate Firestone's honesty and good work ethics. They really care about their customers and want their business to thrive off of good employee/customer relationships and it shows. I absolutely trust them with my vehicle and highly recommend them. The employees there are just amazing. I've had nothing but good experiences here. read more

I would never go back to this location, and I'm thinking I will never go to a Firestone as long as I live. I came to the store to buy 4 tires. I didn't need them installed (I have a mechanic for that) and I didn't need any up-sell. Just the tires. They had 6 in stock, 4 were "reserved" so I could only buy 2 right then. I inquired about other locations that might have some in stock so I could go buy them there. While I was being told about other locations and their stock, I'm pretty sure the person that is the manager (or at least seemed to be a supervisor) told us that the locations were closing early due to a manager's meeting. Weird, but alright. We asked if they could send the tires to the location we were at and they said sure. I paid with a credit card (this is important, remember this fact) and we took the tires and left. Now, comes day two. We drive up and I stand and wait.... and wait some more. I don't like being ignored by staff, but I stand and wait until someone can help me. Chad (who I had talked to on the phone previously to confirm that the tires were in fact there) finally helped me. He got my tires, and then informed me that because I was just walking out without an install I could only pay cash. What? Cash? I don't have 130 something dollars in cash on me. I have a credit card that I want to use, that I DID use just the other day to do what I am doing right now. I showed him my receipt from yesterday, and informed him that the card I wanted to use was the same I had used just the day before. I just want to buy my tires, get them to my mechanic, and get my car fixed. He went to talk to the guy that I assume is the manager (or at least a supervisor) after a quick conference with that gentlemen, I was asked if the car was here. I said no, it's not here. I was then informed that if the car wasn't here that in order to use a credit card I would need to have the vehicle registration. I did not have that with me, because again I'm just buying some tires. I told them to keep the tires. I didn't need them from them. I don't need to be lied too or cheated out of my money. I retrieved my receipt from Chad and told them I would get my tires elsewhere. I was weakly informed that it was a "new" policy, and a security policy and that no matter where I went I'd have to buy my tires with cash. I told them, that no that wasn't true and left. And guess what. It isn't true. I went to the Gateway next to East High School and got my other two tires. I assume the level of customer service is based on how much you are willing to spend. Take all the up sells and I'm sure they will treat you like something resembling a human. read more

We had other plans that Saturday - we were headed to Christ UMC to take part in the Compassion International Project. Our car was making a terrible noise, so a quick online search brought us to this location of Firestone. While the news was not what we wanted to hear, it was indeed all true. We were there for five hours because what was needed was that extensive - I checked with several mechanics I know, and they all confirmed. We were just very glad to know it was something that could be completed that day! We were treated with courtesy, respect and compassion by not only the manager, but the service personnel as well. The entire store, including the lobby and waiting area, was incredibly clean and nice. They made fresh coffee for us and we watched TV. We believe we received excellent service for a fair price. AWEFUL!! I went there on Friday asking if they could fix my gearshift cause it was acting stiff. The lady told me that they don't work on transmissions but they could figure out the problem, tell me what it was and recommend a place for me to take my care to have it taken care of. THIS WAS THE REASON I TOOK MY CAR THERE! She also asked me general questions like if I have had any recent work done to the car, does the car sway when I'm driving etc. I answered her questions and told her that it sways a little bit when I go about 60 mph (this was not the reason I was taking my car there) but this was no big deal to me. I also mentioned that my AC wasn't running as cool as it used to and she said they could check all of that out for me. So I made an appointment for 11am on Saturday. I went in the next day and they told me that the wait time was 2 hours!! What's the point of making an appointment then and why didn't they tell me that when I was making the appointment?! So I waited and finally they took my car in and I REMINDED the guy at the front that my car was here because of the gearshift being stiff and cause of my AC problems. He again said that they don't work on transmissions but they will find out what is wrong and recommend a place for me to take it to be repaired. I ended up waiting for my car to be done another 1 and a half hours. Finally, they come and tell me that the reason my car was swaying was because I needed weights on the front tires?? Okay, I don't really care about that, I can easily take care of that, what about my gear shift. He tells me "oh, we don't work on transmissions"!!! WHAT THE HELL, I WAITED FROM 11AM FOR YOU TO TELL ME THAT!!! I know you don't work on gearshift and transmissions but I was told you could tell me what's wrong with it and where to take it for repair. He then continued to talk about the swaying, giving me the impression that they didn't even look at my gearshift. He then said that I may also need new brakes and that I definitely need new rotors to help fix the swaying. At this point I am very displeased, angry and have lost all trust and faith in them completely. The reason being because just the Saturday before I had personally changed the brakes in that car myself and I had looked at the rotors and they were fine (I do know a bit about cars), so I was super upset, but I didn't say anything to him cause I had wasted too much time with them already and I wasn't going to have them touch my car anymore!!! He then tells me that I need a complete new AC system because the compressor was dying and the gears had been grinding causing metal to get into the AC system so the whole thing needs to be replaced for about $1,200!!! Sounds like a lot of BS to me!!! I told him to please bring my car around and that I won't be doing any more repairs. So since I was late to my appointment, which was at 2pm and made my payment, jumped in my car and took off. I then realized that the AC was blowing hot air!! WHAT THE HELL!! These guys took the Freon out!! So with this crazy Memphis heat I had to stop at Auto-Zone, buy some Freon and put it in my car and that really helped. I also found black fingerprints in my car from hands that had oil! This place was very VERY unprofessional and EXTREMELY untrustworthy and INCREDIBLY slow!! This was my first and last visit, I will never, NEVER take my car back there again!!! read more

Waited 3 hours for an inspection despite having an appointment. I was quoted a 1 and a half hour wait time. All the customers who arrived after me left before me. I had to go up to the attendant and ask him twice about the progress of my car and he told me my car was done, but because it was just him working he couldn't get to me. read more

Horrible experience! First I had my car was diagnosed at no charge with a bad alternator. Took to Firestone for repair. They charged me 25$ to do the same check autozone did for free and told me nothing was wrong but they could do a more extensive diagnostic for $100. Being a woman and knowing something was wrong reluctantly allowed them to run the test. That's when they said. OH! it is your alternator. So I got it repaired. They said I had a small radiator leak. I told them nothing had been leaking from my car and it wasn't running hot. The next day my radiator started spewing and smoking. VERY SUSPICIOUS. will never go back read more

We quit using Firestone because I have lost all confidence in their ability to take care of my cars. We recently bought new tires and in 14 months one of the tires had a flat. We were able to get to the store only to find that it was our fault for letting the tire get so low. Our fault - ha! The tire was OK the night before and the only people to take care of those tires was Firestone. The tire was DEFECTIVE plain and simple. I had to pay 1/2 price for a replacement tire. Even so, the car's was out of alignment. So I took the car to TAYLOR's on Summer Avenue and they showed us that no matter what they tried they could not get the car correctly aligned because the new tire was the problem. The other three tires showed excessive wear and only after 8,000 miles, meaning the 65,000 mile warranty was useless. I'd be looking at a new set of tires within a year. The mechanics seem to always find things wrong - always. Just like the dealer. I now have changed to Taylor's Auto Care on Summer and they are the BEST! read more

After getting a flat tire I took my car here and they told me that I would have to wait two hours before they even looked at it and told me I should just make an appointment for the next day which I did. I showed up the next day and a guy started helping me, went out to my car and looked at the tire (which was in my trunk) and came back inside then told me another woman would help me she went out to my car to look at the tire 4 times before actually bringing it inside. She told me that since I had an appointment I would only have to wait an hour. Two and a half later I heard one of the guys say my name and went up to the desk where I continued to stand for 15 minutes and my phone started ringing, it was them telling me my car was ready and I said I'm standing right in front of you. He then proceeded to tell me I needed an alignment and I said you should have told me that two hours ago and declined. When the mechanic handed me my keys they were covered in grease as was my steering wheel and stick shift. After wiping them off the wipe was completely black and my car smells like a big sweaty man. read more
