I had my car serviced by Firestone. After ordering parts, it took a total of 14 days before my car was complete. At some point during the time when my car was there, someone rambled through my center console. The things from my center console were thrown in the back seat of my car. I didn't notice this until the next day after I picked my car up. Of course I did not leave anything of value in my car during that time, however, I called to complain about it to both the local location and the corporate office. I still have yet to get a call back from the store manager to discuss the matter. I had to call there several times during the time that my car was up there for the 14 days to get an update. You would think that they would have called me to give me updates about my vehicle. read more

I had a 10:00 a.m. appointment today for radiator flush. After giving some symptoms the genius at the counter refused to even look at the car Based on what I told him he claims now it has known issues. I thought he was joking. I asked him: "Are You serious?" Now I've done this a couple times before at different places with no problems. I even offered to add a disclaimer to the work order to be signed absolving them from any liability. But he relished in the fact that in his mind he was a known expert on diagnosing a situation without even looking at it. I had a bad feeling just walking into the store as I noticed the lady who was just leaving the counter had an unhappy look on her face. read more

The area manager Thomas doesn't return calls. The workers are doing horrible work and ruining people's cars and not taking accountability. Everyone needs to file a complaint with The Federal Trade Commission and then band together a do class action lawsuit. Close your your card down if you can afford to. read more

I went for a standard oil change and it cost $90. I've never heard of anyone with my vehicle (2019 Subaru Forester) paying half that much. The worker at the front desk said that was standard pricing. It took 45 minutes and nobody else was there. read more

Took my car in for an alternator replacement. Less than a year later my battery light came on. Took it into Firestone again and was recommended to take it to dealer as everything looked fine to them. Come to find out the wiring was torn on the alternator and was corroded causing overcharging. Now I'll be paying the dealership to fix a broken wire. Unfortunately wiring of alternator is not covered under warranty so I'm having to pay for their mistake. Would not recommend. read more

I've been here three times in recent memory. None of them were positive. First time: I brought my boyfriend's car in for a loose splash guard. I told them I wanted them to tear it off. They cut part of it off, tied the rest back up, and told me that it would definitely hold now and not to worry. It fell off again a few days later and we had to do the work I paid them for ourselves. Second: I took my own car in to check on a tire, as I had gotten them at a Firestone and they were still under warranty. They told me that although I have a leak that can't be repaired, they can't replace my tire that day because they were understaffed and couldn't send anyone out to buy the tire. But they took four hours to tell me that. So I wasted half a day, had to stay at work late, for them to tell me I had to come back the next day anyway. This was the visit that I learned that online appointments are irrelevant to this location and it's purely first come first served (by overhearing a phone call where the employee said just that to a customer over the phone). Side note: I also came here because water was leaking into my car and got basically "lol we dunno". Third: I took my car back despite the bad previous experience, hoping it was a fluke, because it's near my office and I had a check engine light on. They told me that the person that "does that" is off today and I had to come back tomorrow, and it would take a minimum of two hours. This makes me question the literacy of the staff; or do they have one OBD sensor that this one guy takes home? So I decided I've given it enough chances to be good. So, in summary: desperately understaffed - it'll take hours to get even the most basic mechanic work done. Appointments mean nothing - you'll still be waiting an hour just to get your car seen. And once you do get seen, it's unlikely even for the simplest things they'll be able to help you that day - maybe an oil change, but I'm unsure even about that at this point. The only reason I didn't give it one star is that the employees are very nice when they tell you why they can't ever help you. read more

I'm new to Cleveland and this is the first time I had to do something semi-major to my car and had to look for a new shop. I had a good experience with a Firestone back in Columbus, so I thought I would give it a try. I found two locations near work. I went to the 3582 Lee Rd location in Shaker Heights first, but unfortunately had one of the worst customer service experiences of my life. Really, I don't think the guy could have cared less about what I needed. I thought I would try the other location to see what would happen, and boy what a difference! Holly at the front desk could not have been more helpful and professional. She listened to all the issues that I had with my car and presented me with a variety of options. One of the issues was with a high-pitched noise my motor was doing. She offered to just have the pulleys and belts checked, and then go from there. She printed everything out in detail with pricing and details on how to contact her back. When I called back to schedule the service, she surprised me by telling me that she had done some research on her own and found that it was common for Hondas to start making that noise after 100,000 miles, but that it was only temporary, but that they would still check that everything was ok. I took the car in and ended up having 2 tires replaced, oil change, alignment, the belts checked, and brakes cleaned. They priced out the belt changes since nothing ended up being wrong with them, and Holly applied every single coupon that she could find applicable on the Firestone website. Just excellent. So if you're having any kind of problem, I really recommend this spot. While there I noticed other customers talking to some of the technicians on a first-name basis and very friendly-like, so it seems like the good customer service is exhibited by everyone there and they have retained long-term customers. I left angry. Absolutely furious. I came in with a blown tire. They refused to sell me just 1 tire, telling me since it was a 4 wheel drive, they couldn't sell just 1, that I had to buy all 4. Nope. Not true. They let me leave with a flat tire! Imagine that. Keep in mind, this is a vehicle I've maintained myself since 2004. I hate to think how female customers get treated here, if I can be talked to like that. And I hate it for the people who actually don't know any better and get cheated. You come in with 3 good tires, which they remove and keep for resale, while forcing you to buy 4 when you only need 1. And if they cheat people like this on tires, hello, how are you going to be treated if you need repair work done? Come in with 1 problem, but they won't let you leave without fixing 5 things that you don't even need. That's why I work on my own vehicles. And nobody is going to like being talked down to the way they did. I've owned and repaired this vehicle for 13 years, but they really expected me to believe this. Won't be coming back. And I won't be shopping at another Firestone if they condone this. read more
