Made an appointment for a front brake check since Firestone replaced them on 11/3/1025. Was told they were under warranty and would be replaced. 1.5 later after asking how much longer would the wait be, Joe says he'll check and i'm informed the brakes pads hadn't been delivered but they are on the way and should be here in 15?mins. if I hadn't asked how much longer would I have waited. I had an appointment to have 4 tires mounted, balanced and aligned. The tires were shipped directly to the location from TireRack.com. After I paid the invoice and went out to my car I noticed that only the front 2 tires were installed. I went back in to ask why the other 2 weren't installed a they seemed confused, and took my car back in to install those 2 tires. I came back a little while later to pick up the car again and drove it home. The next morning I noticed that there were no stick on balancing wheel weights on 2 of the wheels and 1 wheel had them falling off. I called the location to inform them of this but stated that I couldn't get back there until the following Saturday. My appointment to rebalance the wheels was the following Saturday. I dropped my car off and came back a few hours later when it was all set. The technician informed me that he balanced the wheels himself and he removed the stick on wheel eights that were left and started over. When I went to look at the car, 3 of the wheels still did not have any inside wheel weights on which seemed odd. And the 1 wheel that had stick on wheel weights had them falling off. I went back in and told them this and they took it in again to rebalance that wheel. When I got home 5 minutes later the wheel weights were hanging off and eventually feel completely off. The adhesive that is used is terrible. The surface was never cleaned so nothing will stick to it. I've had nothing but horrible experiences with Firestone and it stared with only 2 tires being installed. I've had to go back multiple times and my wheels are still not balanced correctly since the weights had fallen off. read more

It was only $119. This is an excellent service and with a great discount. I recently needed new tires. I shopped around a lot trying to get the best price for a good tire. they changed my tires, sure, but one was put on wrong. my car is wobbling, i got over as soon as i could once i noticed. there was only 10-15 mins left until they closed so I understood if they wouldnt be able to take my car in tonight. Though, the lights inside are off so I can't even go in to talk to someone. I tried calling, again, still 10 mins left and i see people inside walking around. I understand they most likely dont want to deal with someone nagging them to stay late, i wasn't going to, but answering the call at the very least when you aren't even closed yet would have been a bit more professional. I will be going back in the morning, but it would have been nice that my phone call was answered so i could make sure I am squeezed in during the morning, since they are the ones that didn't put my tire on correctly. Please answer the phone at the very least. Repeated calls with a car outside might indicate something important. If I could give 0 stars I would. Went in for a "low hum" that I thought was a bearing and let them know my thoughts. I paid for a vehicle inspection, I watched the inspection from the inside of the store and all the tech did was shine a flashlight underneath my wrangler. I was told they couldn't check my bearings due to my Jeep being lifted too high and when it's on a lift my drive shaft touches my exhaust (understandable) but they could have easily taken the tire off and checked it that way and they neglected to do so. Went to another mechanic shop in Bristol (not a Firestone) and they told me within 30 minutes that my axel bearing is worn out and needs to be replaced. STAY AWAY FROM FIRESTONE. All they care about is money, not you or your vehicle. This is the second time having issues with Firestone. read more

I've been a life long Firestone auto care Natick customer for both personal and work vehicles that I own. I recently moved to CT and took my car in to this location for a simple VIN verification. They looked at my paperwork and said, have a seat. 2 other customers who came in after me had their cars looked at before me. So obviously no first come first serve. 50 minutes later the guy comes to me saying that they can't do it with the transit permit and need the bill of sale or title. Being a forever customer, I took his word and drove all the way to the dealer (1hr 45 minutes) to get what he needed. Came back the next day and they said you gotta wait about an hour. I asked if he could at least let me know when to bring it back. He said nope, ita first come first serve. Long story short, I drove off and stopped by the first service station, they only asked for the transit permit and 5 minutes later, it was done. Yea, vin verification is a ridiculous, pointless 10$ job. These guys are not first come first to, they line customers up based on the profit they can make. read more

I'm sorry but this place has gone down hill. The 1 Star is due to emissions testing. You are required to drop it off bc it takes a minimum of 2 hours. I got my car back 3 hours later and was told it failed bc of a leak. The first thing i am told "this is NOT bc of the gas cap" i brought my car home and checked my gas cap it was loose. I made an appointment at 10am. I tell them i will be waiting for my appointment bc i have no other choice. I was on time to my appointment. When i get there the guy at the counter scoffs when i tell him i will be waiting and says it will be at least 2 hours before they can even look at it. Why did i bother making an appointment? They know how to make appointments but don't know what an appointment means. I was there to buy 4 tires and have them installed!!! I will never go here again!!! Horrible place. I went to Firestone in Plainville to obtain tires and have brakes put in as I had gone for my Honda CRV maintenance at a Honda dealer and was told I would need brakes very soon which was odd seeing last year I had brakes put in. So when the Firestone man came back and told me there was nothing wrong with my brakes as in fact that looked relatively new. Now he didn't know about brakes being done last year. I am without a doubt extremely grateful and appreciative that this Firestone store was so honest. They easily could have put on new brakes and charged me even though I didn't need them so without a doubt I shall return to Plainville CT Firestone to do ALL of my Maintenance work as I now have no faith in the Honda dealership. One star for simple, tire-related services only. I had a vehicle towed here from my home because of non-start / electrical problems. Vehicle was allegedly diagnosed by "...veteran mechanic with 30 years experience..." for a full day. Long story short...I had inadvertently installed a new battery backwards and this shorted out several critical fuses. I subsequently had the vehicle towed across the street to another garage and the problem was diagnosed in 30 minutes...WITH THE BATTERY STILL INSTALLED BACKWARDS. Either the repairs were never attempted (granted there was no charge other than $100 tow for "failure to diagnose") or their mechanics are comically incompetent... not sure which is worse. I will continue to use them... for tire related Services only ADDENDUM: I should also mention that it was recommended that the vehicle be brought to Mazda for additional diagnosis. I asked that Firestone call the Mazda service manager to discuss what steps had been taken to avoid duplicative efforts. 48 hours later, Mazda advised me Firestone NEVER bothered to call.... read more

Went in for an oil change, and have the brakes changed out, best laid plans of mice... Needless to say, quite a bit of work needed to be done. I'll say that the service was friendly, courteous, helpful, and well, I could go on and on, but I think you'd get the picture with that much. While I waited several other people had come in for basic oil changes, tires, and were in and out in under 30 minutes, which is fairly quick. I'll be trusting this Firestone for my car needs, and I would recommend anyone to go there also. read more

I have been coming to this location since they opened. Dave is AWESOME here. I followed Dave from another Firestone location. I will admit I am a very tough customer, very tough but I ask a lot of questions. Oil changes - I bring competitor's coupons - and they honor them. Tires? Both cars have tires from here. Do I shop around? You betcha! And I bring in the pricing I find. Do I know everything about cars? No way.... but the internet allows me to research and sometimes I ask stupid questions but they are my questions. Here's a great example, had a set of Firestone Destination LE on my vehicle. Rotated all the time, Had the road hazard warranty which I used, Had the lifetime alignment on the vehicle as well. Important things to have on your tires and I found maintaining rotation, balancing and alignments, I got 10.000 miles more out of these tires than what was rated. THEN I went to purchase tires again. LEs were not available any longer, they had the LE2s. Hated the tire the first day I had them on. They were not what I needed and fortunately it was snowing. Called about them... Firestore has a program, 30 DAY BUY & TRY GUARANTEE on their site. Got different tires that I now LOVE. Why do they tell you about things that are wrong with your car? Because you REALLY need to know.... we are not mechanics. On the same note be the wise consumer - ok so you need something done, ask the question "IS this a necessity or can I wait a bit?" I had a boot leaking. Ok I understood that. Could have driven on it for awhile but if I didn't repair it when it was found more damage probably could have occurred and I really didn't want to be in a position to be on the side of the road somewhere having to be towed. Yuck. Good job crew! Just always try to remember this - and if you stick to it, you will succeed in a very competitive retail market. "As an employee grows within the company exceptional customer service is knowing the company's products being sold, learning the company's culture and always going above and beyond the customers' expectations while showing respect to the customers at all times. Thank you Firestone for getting me in the same day when I got a flat tire. I know I needed new set since mine were beginning to show their age. They were last put on 6 years ago and never had a problem with them and they had about 100,000 miles of wear. I've always gone with firestone tires and I havent been disappointed. Had flat tire on Saturday night. Huge 3" screw somehow screwed up my tire. For next day I had planned a lot of thing to do and I needed my car. This place was the only one that was open on Sundays. They fixed my tire in less than an hour for very reasonable price. Service was just excellent from start to the end. Staff is very helpful and knowledgeable. Guy from service didn't let me touch my wheel and brought it to my car( I used another car to visit place) and put in the trunk by himself. I asked my son to bring my old Suburban to the shop due to vibration above 55mph. In an hour he called and said that they did alignment and rebalancing and found front end is falling apart and needed almost 700 repair and oil coolant line is leaking badly and also needs to be replaced. So the total was 1286.00 for 18 year old vehicle. I did come to pay for it and no one showed me old parts. When my son took it for a drive - NOTHING CHANGED. IT VIBRATED THE SAME AS BEFORE. I brought it back myself next Saturday. They did "Road Force Balance" test now and said that the issue was with the tires. So instead of doing thorough balancing from the very beginning, they came up with all kind of additional work from the start and ripped me of for 1300.00 without even fixing the issue. I went in for an oil change and was told it'll take " just under an hour." About 45 minutes later, they came to me with the standard, " you air filter is filthy" sales pitch. That, in all fairness, is done at every shop, and mine did look dirty. I also needed another filter, so I ok'd them both. A half-hour went by, and I couldn't help wonder how long does it take to put in two air filters. I was then told that they had to get one of the filters ordered from a warehouse and that it would be there in ten minutes. After waiting almost another half-hour, i just settled my bill and left. What was going to be under an hour turned out to be just over two hours. read more

I went into this location on a Saturday about 6 months ago to get my emissions done. Emissions tests were scheduled to end at 1pm. I walked in at about 12:45 and when I asked to get my emissions done, which takes about 10-15 minutes the man at the desk claimed they couldn't get me in before 1 so they couldn't do it. When I went over to an establishment down the road (Anthony's Auto Body) they not only took my car in but stated that it's illegal to turn away a customer if they indeed come in before one. So thanks to them I was able to get my emissions done, as I now live out of town and needed to do it that day. Needless to say Firestone has lost my business and Anthony's has gained it. The gentlemen at Anthony's said to report this to the DMV, but I chose not to. But I did need to make it clear to future or current customers that this happened and to choose your auto mechanics wisely. read more

I just needed my emissions done however they were not doing any testing today. It seems as though they were too busy with other cars so they were turning away all emissions testing. I even checked the CT website for closures first and they were not listed. Went down the road to Anthony's Service Station, 128 East Main Street, Plainville and they were quick (less than 10 minutes total) and polite. read more

They were great fixed my flat. were pleasant to deal with. My interior however is covered in grease. They must have had it on their feet their hands. It is simply disgusting. NEGATIVE 2 STARS!!! DON'T GO TO FIRESTONE COMPLETE AUTO CARE!!! They couldn't even do a simple break job. I got home and realized my hood wasn't shut all the way. I slam it shut and it dented it because they left some random housing loose under the hood with bolts sticking up. THEN my brakes leaked after I paid them extra to fix it. So basically I paid these assholes to suck at their job and damage my car. The only reason I went there was because Heritage Auto wasn't open that weekend. I wish I could rate them negative stars because they cost me hundreds of dollars and left my car in worse condition. read more

I brought my car in today 7/26/17 for an oil change. Given I had an appt I was told it would only be an hour. Was there for almost 2 hours, but the biggest issue is that they are ill equipped to handle newer foreign cars. I drive an Audi A8 and to save time opted to go get the oil change from them given I live relatively close by. While the oil change should have been simple, they are ill-equipped to even simply turn off the "service required light" when completing the oil change. They told me after the service that don't have the machinery to handle factory settings. They didn't bother to tell me this when handing me the keys.....I found this out when I retrieved the car. When I then brought this to their attention they then spent an additional half hour before determining they couldn't resolve the issue. This was on top of the 2 hours mentioned above. It would have been helpful if they told me in advance that I would need to go to the dealer to handle the service light. When I brought this to the managers attention the only counsel he could provide was that I should take my car to the dealer in the future. Needless to say I will go to the dealer and will suggest that all my friends not go to Firestone as well. Note, this was about a supposed time savings and not the cost....in the end found out 2 things 1). Audi dealership oil change is cheaper or no more expensive than Firestone ($120,00). 2) Firestone does not save the consumer time if they can't perform the COMPLETE service and they then send me to the dealer anyway. Firestone COMPLETE Auto Care can not COMPLETELY service something as simple as an oil change for newer foreign cars. They should tell customers this up front prior to taking their keys. read more

Never going here again. Very inconsistent in pricing so they can rip you off. First time I changed my oil it cost me 34 dollars. Second time I sent my father to change the oil in my vehicle and they charged him 45 dollars!! For the same exact vehicle!!!
