Called in 4 days before setting up an alignment appointment. Asked specifically if they work on vehicles with aftermarket suspension as I needed as much caster my control arms can offer. I was told they can see what can be done by setting up an appointment. I come in for my appointment with specifications on camber, caster, and toe. I even had a printout of the specs I need dialed in. The service representative checked me in for my appointment and took my sheet of alignment specs. Right as I was leaving the door the service tech abruptly comes back from the shop telling it is their policy that they are not allowed to go beyond manufacturers specifications. I told the service tech that other Firestones in the Seattle area were able to accommodate alternative specs in the past. He stated that the other shops bent their policy rules. I personally have never heard of this. My aftermarket control arms have built in additional caster unlike factory arms. I believe the alignment tech was being lazy and did not want to spend much time to dial in specific alignment numbers. My current alignment was already in factory specifications but I needed further adjustment for more caster. I drove from downtown Seattle (where I live) to this Renton Firestone for this specific appointment. Whoever set me up initially for the appointment should have been more transparent that they cannot go beyond factory specs even with aftermarket parts that allows so. I paid for lifetime alignments with Firestone. After this experience I will rather pay independent alignment shops each time who can work with their clientele. read more

I had my breaks inspected and was quoted $1067 and whole day of labor to have them repaired. They werent able to do the work on the day of the quote so I had to bring it in a few days later where I was told they misquoted the "price and time" and that "it was $1300 and actually more like 5 hrs of labor" with no explanation as to why the price went up. They also said I needed at new battery at the price of $300 even though my 6 year battery is only 7 months old. I took my truck across the street to les shuabs and they did the work for $1067. After making an appointment 2 days in advance I arrived on time at 5 PM on FEB 8 2019. Despite showing her the email confirmation an employee told me my appointment did not exist! Oh and BTW they were going close early at my scheduled appt. time. Perhaps some snow chains since I was being turned away for service? Nope, sorry don't have them in your size. Went to Les Schwab, no appt. They had tires, chains and were even willing to install them. Done. Don't waste your time or money with these Firestone jokers. The WORST "customer service" ever. Anywhere. My daughter, visibly pregnant, had to roll a tire into the shop herself, while the employees stood and watched her. The guy who looked at the tire (which they did not have in stock) then ordered the WRONG ONE for her. Later, she tried to have them transfer the delivery to a different store (closer to home) and they told her no. She could only cancel her order and make a new one at that store. The next day, she tried to pay for it by credit card on the phone so the repair shop nearby could go pick it up and mount it, but they would not let her do this. This place is very unprofessional. Had a flat tire to repair and dropped it off since they had no time at 1:00 in the afternoon to fix my "Firestone Tire" Flat. The next aft noon I had to call to see if flat tire was repaired. Not them calling me back like they had said. So come to find out they will not repair flat. Saying that the repair is to close to side wall. Then was trying to sell me new tires. I have you know a I took it down the street to les Schwab tires and was repaired with no cost within an hour. Regrets and wasted time. Seems to be a trend that is not getting better. Day #1 - came in for my appointment, the manager Yianni said it will take 2 hours. Didn't have that long, so i started to leave. ANd they didn't have my appointment because I booked it online. He talked me out of it and told me he just took over the store. I appreciate a business man trying to salvage a business relationship. Asked me to come back at 715 AM. I said to myself - Why not. Day #2 - came in at 7 AM for appointment (not done online but by the manager himself) It's bound to go right... WRONG. The guy who opened the store said. Well, I don't have guys coming in until 9 AM. Bammm! Yianni the Store manager set me up for an appointment and they're no techs for another 2 hours. On top of it, it will take them another 1.5 hours to do the job...That's awesome service for you. If they will do this good of a job in making an appointment (by the manager even) how good will the actual work be. I wonder...that is one question I don't want to find out. This is the worst place ever..do NOT...I repeat do NOT go to this firestone. I have been here a couple of times because my second option was far from where i live so i was forced to live with the worst customer service. There were times where i had to wait God knows how long just to get a little help. I think they kind of get bored all day without any tasks and since they are not being managed right, their attitude is beyond belief. I called a lot of different tire places in search of someone patching my tire. A nail recently got in it and needed to patch it so i took it to les schwab who were so happy to change it for me for free but I had an emergency and didn't get it changed. The next day, i told my girlfriend to take it to the nearest tire store to get it fixed and i ended up taking her car to work. After 10 min in the store, she was greeted by the store manager DAVE SILVERTON, who assured her that she needed to get a new tire from them without even looking at the tire. She kept asking that she just wants it patched but the guy was stubborn and adamant, even when he was told that les schwab and other tire stores were going to do it for free. I mean at the end of the day, the nail is right in the middle and very easy to get out. However, because she's a female, he thinks she doesn't know anything and wanted to milk her. No wonder why your people aren't honest and disrespectful and do not care about customer service. He's a disgrace to his company and the person that made him a store manager needs to be re-evaluated. I intended to drop my car off for a simple oil change, the brother working the counter immediately gives me attitude and tells me it's going to be all day for an oil change which I fully understood. My check engine light came on so I took it to firestone on Rainier Ave and the manager tried to cheat me on fixing my car it was my O2 Sensor and so I had them fix it back in August when it first started having problems. I went to Firestone to get my oil changed. Are usually use the location on Martin Luther King Way, but they had no appointments available. The store manager for the rainier location was able to get me in. When I returned to pick my vehicle up, I was informed that I had a leak and that my entire oil pan needed to be replaced. They gave me an estimate of over $900. It felt a little shady, so I took my truck home to see for myself. I cleaned off the oil from the parts near the oil pan. Ran the engine and found no leak around the pan. I did find a leak from a poorly installed gasket related to the oil filter. Glad I didn't make that oil pan repair appointment. I got the gasket fixed elsewhere and I will not be returning to this Firestone. read more

This location has the worse service ever. Front desk guy Jon was rude and arrogant. Paid me no attention because of how "busy" it was (in actuality there was only 2 other people waiting and their cars were already being serviced).. I came in about 3:45 just to replace my battery and it took them 2 hours! To too it off my father comes in to ask about how much tires would be for his vehicle and he plainly stares and says that he wouldn't know until he brought his car in. What... Having them replaced the brake shoes , and it started to make awful squeaky sounds. Bringing my car back to them for couple of times to see if they would find out what the problem is. They were clueless. I finally brought my car to another shop to find out that the brake hardware was installed incorrectly by Firestone' employees . This place has the absolute worst service. I ordered my tires online and placed my appointment. I show up for my appointment and they didn't have the tires. So I made a second appointment for two days later with the promise that the tires would be there. I show up to my second appointment and guess what's not there? The tires!!! Next day we called them and we were told they are working on it now. 4 hrs later we called again and found out they have not start working on it yet. Made appointment a day earlier for first time alignment on my vehicle. Show up 15minutes before schedule time. Reception asked how soon do you want your vehicle back. I said give you 2 hours. ......I came back 2 hours later to pick up my vehicle. Guess what? ... They have not even start working on my car yet. Came here in a slow day to try and get an oil change and right when I park there's an employee parking another customers car and almost hits us while we were parked!! And after she got into the parking spot she hit the customers car into the pole! On top of that she acted as if she didn't hit it. Already horrible when we got there and then we go inside and the front desk stays on the phone for about a good 8 minutes and no one comes to accommodate us at all. A scary place! I went in there today had a 1 PM appointment and it was a ghost town. There wasn't even anyone at the front desk to greet me for 10 minutes. There were tires everywhere! It looked more like a junkyard than an actual fire stone.I had to go into the actual mechanic shop to get help. There was one front desk attendant and one mechanic. I decided it wasn't worth my time or money and went to the fire stone located in the Highlands. Like night and day! The Highlands staff is friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating. My wifes car messed up the harmonic balancer (aka 'crankshaft pulley'). I bought one from a parts store, and ask Firestone to install it. They said they would only install their part. I could take mine back so I said that would be fine. The gave me a ridiculous price. The said the part was $152. I said "No, it's a $60 part". He said again "The part is $152". I said again "No, it's a $60 part". He looked me right in the eyes and said "Look, I pay $68 for it, and that's not what YOU pay." I said "Goodbye". They want to jack $92 on a $60 part? Having the worst customer service. In need of a set of tires, I walked in at about 10 am on Sunday morning, December 24, 2017. There was noone at the counter and no other customers in line to be served. After about 3 minutes waiting, I saw a female employee walking out. She ignored me and made a bee line to the customer sitting area to have a small talk with someone who was sitting there and watching television. I wasn't sure whether he was a customer or another employee. A good amount of time had passed before she finally walked to a computer on the service counter. She looked at me and mumbled, "What can I help you?" Just before I could get a word out to respond, a guy stormed in from outside and started talking to her. I rekoned that he was a mechanic on the account of his clothing. She immediately diverted her attention to him and carried on a conversation with him. She left me standing there like a fool. What can I do but walking out to save myself from being embarassed further. On the early morning of Tuesday, December 26, 2017, I bought 4 tires from Discount Tire Store in Federal Way. When you think of Firestone, you think of tires. I came here to purchase wheels from them. Not only did it took weeks later to arrive but the installation of the wheels were so badly done it made me even think twice of having them fix it. 3/4 of the 4 tires had a psi above 40 and the other one had a psi of 20. I did went back to them, to make sure they fixed their problem but instead told me that they were to busy to do anything about it and suggested that I had a nail, even after observing the tire. I then took my business over to discount tires and they were even more booked and had to stay extra hours. Not only did they fix the problem promptly but told me if I had problems, bring it back. Tire Rack quoted me a price $60 less than the shop, it's possible he didn't include my tire size when calculating. Came in for an appointment I had scheduled at noon to have 2 tires mounted thinking it would be done in a timely manner, and I ended up leaving with my car at 5-5:15pm. When I came to wait for my car to be finished, as the store would only be open for another 40 minutes or so, I noticed the employees working on my car were messing around when I had been waiting all day, and they knew that. If I could give them negative stars I would....twice burned by these guys. First time they charged us $450 to replace a $40 hose!! Second time was even worse....cost us $1100 and 48hrs without our vehicle. Brought it in to have the oil valve cover replaced and a tire repaired....when we finally got it back, their mechanical 'wizards' COMPLETELY screwed up our cars navigation system, they obviously don't know what they're doing. They also left our antifreeze BONE DRY.....for that amount of money one would think that they'd at least be sure the fluids were full. Hmmm.. What can I type, this place did the job well within the expected time frame. I needed 2 tires replaced and it took about 40 minutes from dropping my car off to driving it away. The man helping me was courteous also. Also, I had run over a nail and my tire completely deflated at the Fred Meyer nearby. They thought they had me pegged. A visibly non-mechanical person as I walked into the shop, but I grew up in the boonies and were surrounded by men that worked on cars just for fun. I might not have the skill set to do an oil change by myself, but I know a few things and I certainly know when I'm being taken advantage of. They did the normal up-sale tactics that all oil changes do, bring me my air filter and explain how dirty it is and I need a new one, blah blah. Then they told me that my check engine light was on... It wasn't when I parked out front -- I told him this and he said "One second, let me check with the mechanic." He returns and confirms that the check engine light is on and they can "run diagnostics" for $99. I immediately told him that I would just take the car to Auto-Zone and have them pull the code for me and then Google to find out more information about what specifically could be wrong. I can fix it if it's not something that requires special tools. He told me "The code won't tell you anything, you have to run diagnostics" -- even more schtick. By this point I was not happy. I told him otherwise, that I can get a lot of information from the code and I don't need any diagnostics to be completed by Firestone. He certainly didn't expect me to say "pull the code" -- his facial expression was clear as day when I said that. They did the oil change, I bought in for an extra $8 and got the high mileage stuff (debatable whether I needed it but I got it), and I didn't do anything else. Miraculously when I was checking out at the end of this ordeal my check engine light had gone out! Amazing how that works! I gave 2 stars for the oil change -- had no issues with the car so I have to give them some credit. It's a Sunday, and my tire needs to be replaced so I stop in to see if they could squeeze me in. They were jerks - both guys at the front counter! Didn't even look up to talk to me and acted like I was putting them out by asking a question or even being there. Although they could have fixed my car, I decided to take it to a different shop. These guys are really cruel and rude. I had a flat tire on my way to a dumpster, So I pulled up to this place to get some help. They said they will not help me because my car was loaded and that they are so busy. I asked if there is anything they could for me, I tried to explain to them that this is an emergency and I'm out of choices. They did not care and they turned me away. I had to get Uber, get a spare tire, buy a jack, called AAA and drive to Les Schwab to get some air on the spare tire. Amazing customer service. My van blew a tire (completely destroyed the tire) on I-5 and after waiting 2 hrs for a tow truck, I got here right at closing. Since I had an AWD I had to get all 4 tires replaced and they were closed when I got here, the mechanic was willing to work late by himself and change all 4 tires for me. Might not be the best price since I had to get what was in stock but I was stuck and these guys helped me out when needed. Thank you! Will be coming here again. read more
