Made an appointment for a standard oil change, after 2 hours it was finally completed only to drive one block, and notice my check engine light and traction warning light were on, both had not been prior to my appointment. So, I made a quick u-turn, to be told to just "press the traction button". But, that did not remove the warning. Turns out, the technician "accidentally" pulled one of my sensors out, as he was "closing my hood". Wish I could give it 0 star. This is probably one of the worst places I ever been too. I dropped my car off at 1:14pm and they told me it would take 3 hours-max to finish a diagnostic. I called back 3:47pm to check up on it, and they said "they haven't gotten to it yet." I came back to firestone around 5:26pm and they said the guy didn't finish diagnose the problem and that "he puts his notes in his tool box and went home" And you can tell he kept on giving excuses. I'm pretty frustrated right now with this Firestone. I'm been using them for tires, maintenance and repairs for about 3 years. I'm probably done now. Last May my AC was blowing hot in my 05 Maxima. I took it in and they said my coolant was low. A recharge was to cost $220. I said ok. a few days later my compressor blows. Now, I could never prove that they overfilled it, but my compressor was fine before they filled it. So now, they said they needed another $700 for a compressor. Sigh, alright, so now I'm up to almost a grand. About a week later the AC starts blowing hot again. Wow. I take it back in and they refill the coolant and explain they added dye, but found no other leaks. At that point I really didn't use the AC till this last week. Once again, it blew hot. I took it back in and of course now it's the low pressure line on the AC which has a leak (when none was detected before). At first, they tried to charge me to diagnose, which I protested, then they waived. Then next tried to change me to refill the coolant coming to $491 more with the hose. I was then let know that they would waive that and it would be $364. So let me get this straight, I have paid almost $1000 and my air doesn't work any better than before spending that money. The person explained to me that AC work was a "process" and there might even be more things wrong they don't know about yet. I had just bought a used car, with a few gremlins in it. So I went to these guys, because I'd worked with them once before and had a pleasant enough experience. I told them what was wrong with the car, and left it behind. I asked them to fix two things; the power window on the driver's side, and an unusual, irregular clicking in the dash. The first warning sign should have been that the guy at the counter wrote down the problem wrong. Rather than putting a detailed description of the issue, he just said "That usually means there's a turn signal out, so I'll put down for them to check that." I should have cancelled my appointment with that. But I left the car with them, assuming they'd have it done for me by the end of the day so that I could drive home. They took a day and a half to replace a circuit board on the turn signal. Which, of course, didn't address either of the problems I asked them to fix. I called them 20 minutes before I was going to arrive, and they told me they'd done the work to fix the clicking (which, of course, they hadn't) but they didn't do the window. So I told them to just stick with what they'd done and I'd be there soon. I got there, and had to wait another hour for them to quit screwing around and get my damn car put back together. To top it all off, they charged me $350 for my trouble. $350 for them to waste two days of my time, and not actually do the job I asked them to do. I'm going to be contacting their manager, Firestone corporate, and any relevant state agencies. Long and short of it, don't waste your time and money with these incompetent, swindling morons. I stopped in today because my tire dummy light was on, probably due to temperature changes. The gentleman who greeted was so friendly and effusive he turned a grumpy day into a delightful one. I just got back from this place, & it was the worst experience yet. I went there to check my tires cause my tires pressure light went on, my brother said I had a nail on one of them and may need to get it repaired/replaced. So I went nearest Firestone to me and as soon as I walked in the guy the front was completely unhelpful & he just told me to pull up to bay 3 to have it checked. As soon as I did the guy who was supposed to help me did not say one word to me. He just put air in my tires and when he was done he didn't even say so. So I was sitting in my car like an idiot waiting. He just walked away. I went back inside to see if they were done checking my tires and the guy said yeah you're all set. They didn't even check my tires cause if they did they would know that I had a nail in one of them, I just took off cause there's no way I was letting them repair my tire. Who runs this place? What a shame! They all hate their jobs & life! read more

Super bad service. The promised date of my tire was not accurate. I came back 2 times. They told me to come in on Monday , my tire was not there. I came in Tuesday, my tire was not there. I came in at 4pm that day. The guy told me that the tire is on the way and will be there at 5pm. I left and called later at 5pm. My tire was not there and never showed up that Tuesday. Then today( Wed) I had to call to make sure my tire was available and ready. It was , but then when the guy rang me up, he told me I had to pay full price for the tire. The supervisor Jonathan told me on Monday that my tire was on warranty. What is going on with this location. Since the staff changed the environment of this location has gone to the floor. NO one looks happy to work and there is no communication so no one knows what is going on. Never will come back here. Oh to add. they did not give me my receipt with the courtesy check up which also has the survey on the bottom for customers to complete on how happy their visit was. I should have gone up to the Renton Highlands where the good service went. This location will go out of business with this kind of people and service! read more

My brother took his truck to get Tires changed and for alignment. They only replace his tires and sent him to another location in Covington to get alignment done. I wouldn't recommend taking your car to this location, the guy that took care of me said they were short stuff, not sure if that was the reason customer service was horrible. Super unprofessional! The shop in Covington was way better. read more

I've been to this location several times for basic oil changes and was generally satisfied with the service. The last time I was in was also for an oil change. Several hours after leaving the establishment, my check engine light came on. I discovered that the coolant reservoir was completely empty. I refilled it and kept checking for leaks, no leaks. I called them to ask what their process is when checking fluids and if they had drained the fluid and why. The man I spoke to was so rude and didn't even want to answer my questions as to what their process is, when I finally told him why I was asking, he yelled at me and said that there must be a leak and why am I even calling them. It's now been a couple of months and I haven't had to refill the coolant at ALL and there have been zero leaks and the level has remained the same. I am so dissapointed with this place and will NEVER go to ANY firestone for any care, at this point I wouldn't even trust them to put air in the tires. They damaged my vehicle! They either don't have any idea about what they're doing here, or they just don't care! I actually think it's both! Instead of twisting off the center caps on my rims by hand, they pried them off with a crow bar or something, which not only mangled all four of my center caps, but also dented and scratched all four of my rims! It's obvious that the center caps go on and come off by hand! Your first instinct should be to try that initially! Even so, one would think that you'd stop after noticing that you damaged the vehicle when working on the first tire, but nooooo... Not these geniuses... At first, the manager not only wanted me to search for replacement center caps myself, but also wanted me to put up my own money to pay for them and wait for them to reimburse me, which may have never happened. Of course, I wasn't okay with that, I don't think anyone in their right mind would be. Eventually, I received replacements, but I had to go pick them up. You would think that after damaging my vehicle, they'd just send them to my house, but once again, nooooo... Not these professionals... This all sounds pretty bad, I know, but it's just the tip of the iceberg! The whole reason I came here was to have them put my summer tires on my vehicle, which they did... but BACKWARDS!!! On all four matching, name brand tires, it clearly states which is the inside and outside of the tires! I don't know if they deliberately put them on backwards to be jerks or what... It doesn't make any sense... You have to make a conscious decision to mount and balance all four tires backwards! When I noticed this, I immediately brought it to the managers attention and instead of fixing the problem right then and there, he had the audacity to tell me that they were closing soon! Let me get this straight... I paid for a service, which you not only did incorrectly, but some how managed to damage my vehicle in the process doing and you want me to come back instead of fixing it right away like any respectable company should?! Get out of here! I didn't want to drive my vehicle with the tires backwards because I was afraid that they might get damaged, but the manager assured me that driving with the tires mounted backwards wouldn't damage them and also told me all that would happen would be that I wouldn't get the full performance out of them that I should. He nonchalantly tried convince me that it wasn't a big deal and suggested that I just leave them mounted incorrectly, but I wasn't having that either. I paid for a service and I expect it to be done correctly. After driving home to wait for our scheduled appointment the following week, my vehicle had trouble getting traction going up hills and I noticed that what I believe to be the drivetrain/suspension popping when going from first to second gear. Both problems due to the tires being improperly mounted. After finally getting the tires mounted properly, I notice a popping sound when in reverse, which I believe is due to a drivetrain/suspension issue that was caused by the tires being improperly mounted in the first place. This whole experience has been utterly unbelievable and unacceptable! read more

Since this branch management has been changed, everything else has been changed. I try to get my brake fix because my brake has some noise. I sent my car to the shop, TWICE..... they claimed it already fix.. and even convince me to change my hand brake for over $300...it ends up that the noise still on..and when I send my car to another shop, they say my hand brake was actually loose....First time mistake is forgivable...but how about twice in the same issue....... read more

My truck pulls to the right sometimes when braking. It's 4 years old and I know it needed new pads and turn the rotors/drums... Firestone wanted to do an inspection - A whole vehicle inspection - which wasn't needed because I only wanted the brakes done...... They came up with an extensive list of work to do. $1500 of things. I knew what the car needed. It didn't need transmission/radiator/ fuel service. I work as a mechanic (NOT a car mechanic). I can work on my car, but it takes me alot longer to get the work done myself - so it's more convenient to get some work done by guys that do the work for a living. The worst part was - the guy who did the test drive smoked a cigarette in my vehicle. What made it worse, was it was a rainy day and the cigarette smell stuck inside my vehicle worse... At least he didn't use my ashtray. He must have thrown the cigarette out the window when he was done. Their mechanics behavior is insulting and unprofessional. read more

Pretty much the only good thing about my experience was the customer service. They were quite nice. However, if you make an appointment, don't expect that they will actually work on your car at the time you scheduled. I made an appointment 2 days in advance for 2:00PM. I even noted on my appointment that I would be staying there to wait for them to finish. It took 2 hours. 2 hours for an oil change and tire rotation with an appointment made in advance seems a bit excessive. When I left I noticed the wheel cover on my back right tire seemed a bit odd and warped. I didn't think much more about it as I do not know anything about cars. I thought this was normal. The next day when I was driving home from work around 2:30PM, I heard a strange noise from the back right side of my vehicle. I thought maybe something had fallen over in my trunk. I was concerned but I was close to my house so I continued home. I heard the noise again on the right side before I pulled into my driveway. I got out of my car, looked in the street and one of my wheel covers was in the street! I went to the right side of my car to look and BOTH of the right wheel covers were missing. I hopped back in my car and drove back to the place I first heard the noise. The 2nd missing wheel cover was in the middle of the street and broken from being ran over. This was undoubtedly caused my improper placement when Firestone put my tires back on after the rotation. I called to explain to them what happened. They asked me to come in, but it is a 40 minute round trip drive for me. I asked they just order some new ones. First he said they couldn't do that, to which I replied, "So, why should I drive down there if you aren't going to replace them?" He put me on hold, I'm assuming to speak to a manager, and when he returned he said they would order new ones for me. While I am grateful they are replacing them, this should not have happened in the first place. This is a tire place. I'd hate to think what else is over looked if simple wheel covers can not be put back on correctly. read more

The tech on the phone was quite rude. I called to ask if a specific tire size for my 15" wheels, and dare enough the tech to say "that's an odd size for a tire." as a professional, you'd usually keep your thoughts to yourself. obviously this tech at the Renton location doesn't have any interpersonal skills or just plain sarcastic and rude. I am a car guy myself, wheel/tire size in 15"s are very common, appearantly this tech has no knowledge of his job whatsoever. Shouldn't even call them at the first place. HORRIBLE -NEG 10 stars!! I declined their services, but asked them to keep the bulbs out that needed replacing. When I inspected my car (after I drove away), I realized my trunk wasn't closed. They did not screw bolts back in, fluid containers were loose and not put back, electrical parts were disconnected, they messed up the front trim on my headlights, there were screws missing, broke a latch, PLUS, they took out the wrong bulbs!!! They clearly did not know what they were doing. read more

The service is ok but they will charge you for stuff you don't need or things they brake, for example I had my car in to fix a minor water leak, oil change and replace the spark plugs, When they changed the spark plugs the mechanic broke two of the spark plug wires and they told me the wires were worn out and needed to be replaced, which was a flat out lie because the wires that were on the car were only about a year old! I called bullshit on the guy when he told me the needed to be replaced because I talked to the guy working on the car and already knew he had broke two of the wires and after a heated debate we split the difference on the replacement cost but it still cost over $600.00 to fix a minor water leak, change the oil/filter and replace 6 spark plugs. They do good work but like I said they will overcharge you so before you take your car/truck to them do your homework about what needs to worked on and what needs to be replaced and if they claim something needs replaced or is broke tell them you want to see the worn out part(s) before they replace it. Here is another example that happened last year, I had them try and tell me the brakes on the rear of my car were worn out and needed to be replaced, again this was flat out bullshit because I had the brakes looked at about a week before and there was still 60% of brake pads left on the back and the front brakes had about 65-70% of the pads left so the brakes did not need to be replaced and by the way they wanted to charge me almost $600.00 to replace the brakes! read more

Had a terrible experience here! My girlfriend and I brought her Kia in to Firestone today to have the front brake pads and rotors changed, 4 tires replaced, and an alignment done. When we arrived we were greeted by John and he went over various options with us for tires and we made our choice and were told that before they started the brake job they wanted to do an inspection to make sure we needed it. We were told that an inspection, tires, and alignment would take about 2 and a half hours and he would call us when it was completed to tell us the results. So after the inspection was completed (Which actually took around 3 hours) he called and said it needed front brake pads and rotors so we authorized a front brake job. We were told by John once again that it would be about 2 and a half hours additional for the brake job. So 2 and a half hours later we went down to Firestone and when we arrived I noticed the car was still in the air and all the wheels were off. We went inside and John told us that it would probably be another 30 minutes but we were promised that we would be out before he was that night. So we waited in my car for another 30 minutes and the whole time were able to see them not working on her Kia but the other cars surrounding it. And also a nice visual was seeing John walk around the shop smoking cigarette after cigarette despite the large NO SMOKING sign (I don't think I need to comment on how dangerous this is). So after 30 minutes passed we went back in to see what was going on and he apologized and said that it would probably be another 45 minutes before they could get it out and then he offered us two free oil changes as some consolation. We returned 45 minutes later and he told us they were at the last step of the process and should be done within 10 or 15 minutes. So we sat in their waiting room for another 30 minutes when finally they had finished her car. The bill totaled a wopping $950 and a total of 7 and 1/4 hours of time. Now I can understand that it happens that people get backed up and things can get crazy at work, I work in the service department at a Nissan dealership. What I don't understand is that we were continuously told the wrong amount of time. I left Firestone EXTREMELY unhappy with the service. My girlfriend and I will not be returning and neither will anyone we know. read more
