We had a problem with our rental car and they could not do any repairs so they said to go to Firestone or Pep Boys who they are contracted with and have the work done and have the bill sent to Enterprise. I loved that aspect of it. The staff at this facility are nice, and they were trying their best but with 1 person to greet customers, answer the phone, schedule appointments and only 1 person who showed up to work on cars, a nail in the tire, tire repair or new tire, ended up taking almost 2.5 hours. We were hoping that it would be a fast easy patch, but it ended up being a new tire. While we were there, 2 more worked showed up to work on the cars, so I think that is why it only took 2.5 hours but even with only 1 worker, they said 90 minutes or so, not 150 minutes. They were trying their best and plenty of customers called upset and even some who came in, were upset and left because they waited so long and were never greeted. I appreciate that they tried their best and did a good job. The place is very dirty, and needs a cleaning. There is a restroom. read more

Took car in for AC repair not blowing cold. New compressor installed received car back with a knocking sound. 3 visits and almost 2 weeks later car is back. Oh and I was told my car was ready not just once, but twice it was ready only to arrive at Firestone and it not be ready. Everyone should be cautious when selecting this location they aren't reliable they cause issues not present when they charge for "diagnostics" but you will have a different issue once you leave and they refuse to acknowledge their fault imagine getting an oil change and them not tightening your oil pan or checking your tires and your tire pressure system is out of whack or having a road hazard warranty and a district manager tell them not to address it. Crazy right! They are the worst and if you have an emergency bypass firestone as it'll cost you more once they cause more issues. Went here in September and got work done on my car and I just ended up fixing what they said they fixed ! Engine gasket and when I got the new person to fix it they asked me if I knew that my coil packs where all broken !?! My 2009 Mercedes Benz needed low beam headlight and the guy stated me $400+ to change them out. He told me that he may have to remove the front bumper to do the job. I explained to him that I put those headlights in and I didn't do all that. So I got a rejection sticker and did it myself and brought it back and it passed! Wow! read more

Maybe you could have righted the 2 loose 10mm socket bolts on my battery so I'd pass inspection instead of trying to charge me 40$ to tighten the 2 bolts and try to have my pay for another inspection. 4401 Williamsburg road is almost always booked solid, almost impossible to get service here. In their defense, part of this is the industry wide shortage of mechanics. (Take note youngsters. You want a career that pays well and you're not afraid to work or get your hands dirty?) Besides the volume of retail customers, from the looks of the vehicles on the lot they have several commercial contracts that they're trying to juggle as well. If you do manage to get service here, be aware that, even if you know your vehicle, they are going to try to push everything that you don't need at the moment that they've 'suddenly discovered your vehicle to be lacking or in need of repair' on top of the repair or service that you brought it in for. My experience here was weird and stressful. I knew I needed an oil change and was bummed to learn there aren't any Mr. Tire locations in the Richmond market yet. I figured I'd try a different national chain, navigated to Firestone's website, and requested an appointment online for the next day. Three time slots were listed as available. Later that night, I received a call that they were booked solid but that I could bring my car over as a walk in. The guy who called said that it's a known website glitch and that their site doesn't speak to their actual reservation system. He suggested I arrive as early as possible, so I said that's what I'd do. The next morning as I was getting ready to head out the door, another guy from the business called and told me that I couldn't bring my car in. He said the entire lot was full. I relayed what the first guy said and how I was basically ready to drive over, and he sounded annoyed but told me he'd ~have to let me~ come over. I said I didn't want to put him out, and he repeated to bring the car over. So I drove over and there were no parking spots. Their lot really was totally jam packed. Service wasn't exactly friendly either when I walked in, and a girl suggested that perhaps I had spoken with a different location to be told to bring my car over. [Nope. I'm not that moronic.] I anticipated a long wait and told them it was fine if so, and then I walked across the street for breakfast. Within the hour, my oil was changed and tires rotated. It seemed like a crazy fast turnaround, but the guy who rang me up (who I think was also the first one I spoke to the night before?) said that their original appointment was a no show so I took that slot. On one hand, it was nice that they didn't reject my car outright and efficiently worked on it when they were swamped with service needs. On the other hand, the little quips and total frustration were palpable, and, as a result, I will not be a repeat customer. read more

STAY AWAY IF YOU VALUE YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY. Zero stars? Car failed inspection for bad ball joints and a few burnt light bulbs, my fault I should have checked before taking it there, I was quoted over $300 to replace the licence plate and reverse light bulbs on my 2008 beater car, so I bought the bulbs and took me 10 minutes to replace them myself. $300+ for 10 minutes of labor? that's over $1,800 an hour labor, do the math. I was afraid to ask how much it would cost to replace the ball joints. I was also told the brake fluid was dirty, funny thing because It was replaced a few weeks prior to going there and the last time I checked the brake fluid it was crystal clear. This is unacceptable. These people are crooks and they take advantage of the gulible non mechanicly inclined that believes everything being told to them but they cannot fool me, I don't fall for scams. I wish there were more people like me that would have the guts to exposed them for what they are. They are greedy liers. We the working class should boycot companies that don't care that we have more important things to spend our money on like food on our table. One thing is making a profit and another is ripping of the hard working people in our community. I will never step foot there ever again or any firestone or firestone related shop and neither should you. None of them are worthy of being called mechanics. They said it would re ready at noon and they would call. I received no call so I called location at 230pm. They claimed air filter was defective and was taking longer than expected. Called again at 4pm and they said would call when ready. The phone then rang in 30 seconds and they said it was ready. After driving then noticed windshield wiper fluid was completely empty and a headlight was out. I called and someone named Aaron said come back up and he'd take a look at it. Drove back up there and he filled windshield wiper fluid up and expressed they didn't have time to fix headlight but would call when they could. This turned into a 5 day event of me calling inquiring about getting some type of appt or something to fix the headlight. Each call I was asked for a little more information and was told Aaron didn't get the necessary info they needed. And let me remind you, this was for 1 low beam headlight which should have checked and fixed when they had the car for 8 hours for the oil change. Finally after going into location insisting very calmy something to be done that day. I then expressed they were leaving me.no choice but at the LEAST myself giving them a bad review., I was then told by Aaron in front of a staff member and another customer to 'PLEASE LEAVE!! NO ONE IS FIXING ANYTHING ELSE TODAY" .This was the 10th time I had to walk into this location to resolve what was missed, from what should have been a simple oil change. It's very sad and alarming that a oil change service, has to result in this amount of headache and still no headlight. This staff has 0 clue how to properly communicate with customers about general expectations. If this allowed to leave 0 stars they wouldn't even get 1 star. read more

This Firestone has been our auto shop for 2 yea now, we've never had a bad experience. We started here on a Sunday evening a few years ago with a van full of family, a baby, and a flat tire. The staff was super helpful and fast! We have been going her ever since for inspections, oil changes, and service. They have great hours and great staff. I highly recommend them! I'm not understanding what the hell does roadside hazardous service means if I have to make an appointment to get it fix. Now my tire went flat I'm guessing because of a slow leak. Went here to get them to check it out. I was told they can't get to me until tomorrow. My thing is how does that help me out. I paid for a service n I can't get what it guarantees. Told me that they had other ppl in front of me, understandable....but my thing is you don't have anyone that can check this out, I feel that if I paid you for something you should honor that. Last month I visited here for an oil change. My car uses synthetic oil so it's always a bit expensive, but they were nice enough to try to find me coupons. Today I went back because my tire got a flat. I had called ahead to make sure they had my tire type available and to also ask if I could bring my foster dog with me to hang outside while we waited. The guy on the phone (Jon I think) was super nice. I went in and the guy at the front was also ridiculously nice to me and my dog. He was open about my tire options and pricing and they fixed a few minor things as well for free. Both times were walk ins and they were honest about wait times but got me in as soon as they could. Overall amazing customer service, they don't try to tell you everything is broken and needs fixing like most repair shops. Def recommend! read more

You can not make an appointment to have any other service done if you need an inspection! One service manager, Don Wood, told me to come early and they would inspect my truck and then do the oil change tire rotation etc. When I called back later in the week, they said no way. Don had been transferred; the new manager Jason said they would "try to work me in" but no guarantees. My husband and I spent $1800 at their shop for tires and I was told that because we bought the tires there they would take care of the maintenance; it's part of the price. I guess it's easy to say that but obviously they didn't mean it. Stay away! read more
