Firestone Vacaville was the worst experience I've ever had on any customer service setting in my life. Brought my car in for an intermittent no start, was told it was the starter which I spoke my mind about not thinking that was the issue, Manager told me if it wasn't the starter they would put my old one back in and give me my money back, I pick my car up drive it to the store come back out of course it doesn't start again. These guys have given me the runaround all weekend, have kept my car overnight with no updates, The front desk guy came clean and told me it didn't start one time for him as well yet the mechanic and manager told me it started every time, I wasted 3 days here and $740 and all I have is some undercarriage pieces that they forgot to tighten up and the car that's still starts only sometimes. I'm going to escalate this to the better Business bureau and a couple local Vacaville sites that I belong to I believe I'm entitled to a full refund and I don't want these guys touching my car ever again I personally do not trust them to touch my car after this experience. read more

They came out and told a young man that his lug nuts were rusted and needed to be changed. He asked how long they typically last, and they gave him a vague answer. They charged him over $100. His car is a nice Camry. Thankfully, they left the lug nuts on the counter, and my skeptical self couldn't help but take a look. The lugs had only minor surface rust where the sleeve meets the wheel--nothing on the cap or the threads, which seemed normal. I explained to him that even if they did need replacing, which seemed unlikely, they're $19 on Amazon. He mentioned he didn't know how to change them himself. I tried to leave it at that, but the price seemed so inflated, I had to show him the actual condition of the nuts. The person at the counter seemed surprised. The young man said he'd "try" to cancel the order. I hope he does. The most surprising part was overhearing someone else mention, "I can't believe it, all three cars need new lug nuts." All the vehicles were late models, and the odds of that seemed low. You go in for an oil change and end up with a charge for new lug nuts. I would give 0 stars if I was able to. I took my car in to get my headlights and taillights replaced and to address a sensor light that would not turn off, even though I had recently gotten all new tires. I told them that I had already taken my car to Walmart the weekend before and they told me that there was nothing wrong with my car and that my sensors would just need to be replaced. Firestone told me that they didn't know what was causing the light to stay on and that they could hook it up to see what may be the cause and go from there. After 400 dollars later, they replaced 3 of my headlight/taillights and claimed that all that was needed for the sensor light to turn off, was getting my tires rotated. Well now the door to my suvs trunk will not stay open and the sensor light is on again. I brought my car back and they accused me of being a liar and denied damaging my car. They also brought out a tire from the back and claimed that it was my tire and presented it to me with a nail in it. I explained that if my tire has had a nail in it for all of this time, then my tire would've deflated weeks ago. But to get out of there I told them that I'd pay the 30 dollars to fix the "hole". When the man at the front returned my keys to me, he told me that my sensor light was still on and that 2 batteries for my sensors were low. He also claimed that the mechanic that worked on my car the last time, documented at the initial inspection that my trunk would not stay open when he replaced my taillights. But when I asked to see said paperwork, he looked it up and told me that it the mechanic did NOT write anything like that in the report. They are shady and rude! Customers beware. read more

I came here for a tire replacement and booked an appointment online. Everything went smooth, picked out the tires and scheduled the appointment. When I got to the location, they told me that they didn't have the tires in stock. I asked them why, and the rep told me that their website does not know what they have on stock. I said ok, they told me that they can get it the next day and booked me for the appointment in the afternoon. After waiting for almost three hours, it got done. So, stupid me, I tried to book another car for tire replacement and this time I called them to make sure they have the tires. After checking in that day and waiting for about 45 minutes, the rep told me that they only have two tires available. At this time, I was so pissed off and ask for the manager. The good ole answer to where the manager is "he is in a meeting". Typical answer to avoid anymore discussion on how they messed up. Wasting people's time is not good for business. I would not recommend this fire stone auto care location to anyone. I hope that they fixed their issue regarding their inventory. I was hoping to get another car fixed there but not anymore. My heater stopped working so I called the store, spoke with Carlos and made an appointment for 12pm. I specifically stated that the heater was not working, then I asked for an alignment, which I paid a warranty for 3yrs. And he asked if I wanted a full inspection which was on"sale", so I said yes. Got there at 12, car wasn't taken in until about 12:45. It's 2:15pm. Went to the desk and asked how much longer?, and the guy tells me, it's blowing cold air just fine. What!? I told him I called and said it was my heater! He says, well that's a whole different diagnostic... ughh.. then I asked if they did the inspection and alignment and he said no. Again.. What!? So now Carlos comes to the desk and tells me they have to order the part and it will be another hr-hr1/2.. not that they care, but I had to be somewhere by 3:30. It's 2:45. This isn't the first time I've sat and waited for over 2hrs for my vehicle to be serviced. The communication from taking the actual appointment and order on the phone to the computer its mechanics use to see what needs to be done needs to be addressed. I've been taking my car here for the last 5-6yrs.. and the last 2yrs, the quality of service went from 10-1. I feel like I paid $360 for my car to sit in the garage, and for me to sit in the lobby for 3hrs... I will never return to this establishment again. read more

Marisa is the only person working the desk today so far. I booked an appointment yesterday after hours via online because a nail punctured one of my tires. I got an email this morning saying to call. The appointment was originally at 12noon however Marisa said I could come earlier because she was double-booked. The customers behind me are very irate and she's handling them with grace and is very patient. An Adam Sandler look-a-like was dropping off a package and she politely had him wait a moment before she signed for it. Firestone should give Marisa a raise, her attitude is positive on a Sunday when other tires stores are closed and Firestone is getting flooded is masterful. Expert professional. read more

Called in to inquire about getting work done on my vehicle, referred by a friend who was willing to pay. Spoke to Murrisa, who was extremely unprofessional and had a nonchalant, I-don't-care attitude. Asked for a time frame, and she couldn't give one because they're often short on mechanics. Red flag right there. Her poor attitude and disrespect made me retract my decision. I won't support a business that allows rude employees to represent them. I've been reading some of these reviews and just don't understand what is going on. Most of them are bad, but what I experienced was far from that. On July 12, 2022 I went in for a simple tire repair, but instead I made an appointment to have 4 new tires installed on my 2005 Chrysler. Not only were they on time but very friendly. They actually took time to explain some of the options I had and what would be best for my type of driving and my budget. I had been to this shop once or twice in the distant past, and even then I didn't have an issue of any type. I expect to be going back again when needed. read more

He made me feel welcome in the store He did give me a good deal on my work (replacing the wheel bearing on my 2016 Toyota Corolla S). Marissa also did a great job by providing more information, explaining my invoice in full, keeping me aware of progress on my vehicle, and calling me to pick up the car on time when it was done. Moreover, I would also like to thank mechanic Paul Brown. You can say right away that this person has expert-level knowledge of automobile mechanics. He answered all my questions patiently and honestly. On top of that, they did alignment with a 1-year warranty (free of charge). Overall I am delighted with the great job that was done. Great price (nobody in my city can provide that price), excellent warranty (2 years on wheel bearing), and high-quality job. I will recommend this place to my friends and everyone else. I work for a company and our company van tire went flat and we brought it here and some other things needed fixing and Firestone fixed everything before our fleet company approved it so in the end the wheel alignment got denied from the company but Firestone still did not charge us for it. Was a returning customer here, came in because I needed a complete tune up, two air filters, two tires, my back brakes and I needed some tests done on my car. A lot of work and money. Walked up saw three mechanics in garage just talking to each other, not working. Stood at counter for 10 minutes in view of the three mechanics, no one helped, so I left and went to speedee and they helped me instantly and there was no wait at speedee. Never go here for any work on your vehicle. I bought tires from them 2 years ago only put 25,000 miles on them and they have to be replaced. So I asked about the manufacturer warranty (which covers 50,000 miles) they told me they can give me a prorated cost for new tires. They wanted to charge me $380 for 2 new tires they didn't even last 50,000 miles. I tried talking to them more to discuss why the warranty isn't covering more and they couldn't give me an answer. I made an appointment for 1pm today for two tire instillations after seeing they had the tires I needed online. That was the first problem, as I booked my appointment it had me add the tires to my appointment so they would know exactly what tires and size I needed before my appointment, when I got there, the front desk lady tells me that they would need to get it delivered from Fairfield, but if I was willing to come back BEFORE 4pm, they would have the tires done by then. Although it was frustrating they didn't say anything sooner and didn't check if they had the tires until I arrived, I said okay. 4pm rolls around and I received no call or update, my dad called for me and the lady said they were backed up but just give them 30-45 minutes, which is interesting to be backed up when I had an appointment and their were a bunch of walk ups getting work done while my car was barely on the lift when I arrived at 4:45pm. I waited another 15 minutes and still my car hadn't been touched nor had I been addressed for the fact that they had neglected my car and it was now past 5pm. I was super frustrated by the lack of service and around 5:15pm I asked them to just put my tires back on which they did instantly and not a single apology was given for how they handled the situation. As someone that has worked in costumer service my whole life, never would I ever treat customers the way I was treated today, I was super understanding without explanation but the mechanics and especially the receptionist Marisa acted like they did not care that I waited that whole time and was now leaving with the same tires I came in with. Highly do not recommend this place, it's bad enough the pricing is ridiculous, but the service is even worse. The only reason I came to Firestone is because my two back tires were Firestone, so since I needed two new front tires, I figured I would stick with the brand. This place sucks. First I came in here the other day to get an oil change and get my tires rotated and balanced. I was told that my alignment was off and they couldn't rotate the tires because of it. Okay I get it. It's all wheel drive so because of of wear on the front tires due to the alignment being off it is unsafe. No biggie. Can you guys fix the alignment? Oh no! You can't adjust a subarus alligment without ordering after market parts and installing plates and chamber bolts and blah blah blah. Bullshit. Both the techs I spoke to apparently had no idea what they were talking about. Brought it into les schwab the next morning and got all four wheel alignment done in 40 minutes. I even told the tech at les schwab what they said at Firestone and he said they were either lying or just ignorant. Unfortunately I had to get two new tires and one of the few shops the website would deliver them to for install was the same Firestone. So I made an appointment for Saturday morning 7am so I could be in and out. Only two tires? No biggie right? Well here I sit after 45 minutes of being here and all they have managed to do is get it on the lift. The tech and the girl working at the counter are busy talking and talking in the back. Over 20 minutes now just about bitching about work, schedule, etc. I can see and hear them, and no work is getting done. I am supposed to be at work. I am in my work uniform and mentioned I was heading straight to work after this but no shits given here. I will never come back to this place. An hour in as I finish this review and still not one tire done. Look elsewhere for work on your vehicle. read more

Anyways they did a full inspection, and found the exact cause of the leak, ordered and installed the OEM part all within a few days. Called in to schedule an appointment to have my brakes inspected because I knew my rear brakes were due and could hear that the rotors were a little warped. They were able to see me on Saturday which is great because it's the day I'm off work. Dropped my car off at 8am and They were able to fit me in to get the brakes and rotors replaced after inspection. little discount right now on this service also! I've always taken my vehicles to Firestone. They called me to let me know and verify the price and break it down for me so I knew what service was being done and how much before we proceeded. Then called me for pick up when the vehicle was finished and left a voicemail because i missed the call. Which made it easier than having to bother them by calling back just to know it's ready! I felt the process was super easy, hastle free, and my AWD Subaru brakes a lot smoother. The noise is gone and I'm very happy about the service and experience. read more

They didn't have my tire brand in stock so I bought a less expensive one and I'm going to use that as my new spare. And then go back to a different Firestone and use my insurance to get a new better quality tire. German walked me across the street so I could get a used rim so I can have an actual spare tire (for the next time I get a flat). He went above and beyond! Great service!! I want to thank Marisa and the mechanic(s) that worked on my car! I was driving through Vacaville, on Saturday morning, when I ran into car problems. I stopped at Firestone and they were able to quickly diagnose the issue (bad water pump). The labor would have been 13 hours which would have cost $2500 (not including parts), but the mechanic was able to do it in 8 hours for a cost of $1400. Huge savings for me! They worked on it the rest of the day and I picked it up on Sunday morning. My total cost was under $2000 (was able to get financing on the spot). I still had to drive to southern California, 400+ miles of driving to go. Marisa was so kind and patient while I waited in their waiting area, with a dog and cat, until I could check into a hotel for the night. They worked on my car for me to safely make it home. Thank you so much! Firestone is the only auto shop (that I know of) that is open 7 days a week. read more

Using the online tire size lookup feature on the firestone website, I got a quote for the cheapest out-the-door price for 2 generic tires for my Honda Civic: $122. Not bad, so I called the Vacaville location to confirm the price was accurate and type of tires were in stock. The woman on the phone asked my tire size, and I read her the size from the Firestone site's tire size lookup. Only one size option comes up for a 2000 Honda Civic EX, and I took for granted that Firestone, of all places, would not have the wrong tire size for my vehicle. Over the phone, the saleswoman attempted to convince me to go with more expensive tires (of course) and even tried to get me to open a Firestone credit card in order to afford them. I declined and set up an appointment to have the tires from my online quote installed the following afternoon. When I arrived for the appointment, I was immediately told by the same woman that the size of tire we discussed was incorrect for my car, and given a new quote of $239............ But wait. I could still save money if I opened a Firestone credit card! After trying to explain to the saleswoman that I should not pay twice as much as my original quote for Firestone's own error and showing her that the same tires in my size were only $5 more each according to the Firestone website, she still refused to honor any lower price and did not offer ANY solution, discount, or even an apology for the inconvenience. It was obvious to me by her actions and attitude that this type of false advertisement is a part of Firestone's business model. I will contact corporate customer service to let them know of the online discrepancy and employee incompetence. The saleswoman also committed fraud by telling me that their credit card application would not result in a "hard-check" of my credit. Good thing I know better. For Black Friday, I got a cool deal on amazon for a digital tire pressure reader and tested it out on my car. I couldn't believe what I saw. ALL 4 tires were around 60 PSI! They're supposed to be at 32!!! No wonder every bump on the road hit with a thud and my gas mileage decreased! All my tires were over inflated to almost double!! I usually go to the fairfield location for tire pressure checks but I was near the Vacaville location but never again! DON'T get any services done here. Bridgestone Potenza RE-71R. Because for Extreme Performance Summer tires, there is no suitable alternative for my baby. I'm an artist. & I know exactly which brush I like to paint with. Grip. For daaaaaaaaaays. Seriously. So when the time finally came to strap a new set of ridiculous rubber onto my S2000, I brought her back to the same place I got my last set of ridiculous rubber. These tires are far from common & are likely special order anywhere. When I called asking about availability, they said they could have the tires next day. They even took a chance on me & waived a deposit despite the $$$$ pricetag for a set of 4. I went in the next day & the tires were there. It took 2 hours to mount & balance those 4 tires. I'd gripe about that, but I know removing & installing large contact patch/ low profile/ stiff sidewall tires like that is a pain in the butt. I also know that job isn't rated 2 hours labor, so I appreciate the effort. The car drives like a dream. For lateral G's, these tires defy physics. On windy roads, I got more smiles per mile than anyone else. When the time comes again to strap more ridiculous rubber onto my curve carving roadster, I will be back. read more

Came here for years. Just went in at 9am on a Tuesday, took until 12:15p for my car to get on the rack for an OIL CHANGE. Took another 51 minutes for my oil to be changed. Customer service is TRASH since Tyrell and Josh left. Never coming here again. I was given a heavy discount, while a disgruntled Jose attempted to be "nice" and just came off as rude, abrasive and uncaring. Which should be the last thing he should do... considering he's the one that told me it would be 90 minutes *TOPS* Edit: the VERY NEXT DAY my battery light comes on... after JOSE was messing with my FUSE box during an OIL change... I'm at Les Schwab right now getting whatever they screwed up, inspected! Double edit: Turns out my alternator is *COMPLETELY* dead immediately following a 4 hour oil change where it took me complaining to get my car on the rack... where they were messing with it for an hour.
