My husband wanted to get a new battery and an oil change, so we decided to go to Les Schwab in Vacaville since we had some errands to do there. When we arrived, it was pretty packed, but Michaela called us over right away. She was extremely nice and helpful. After checking the date on the battery, she said it should be okay. She would have them check it all out before charging us for a new one. She did let us know it might be a two to two-and-a-half-hour wait, which was understandable with it being a Friday and how busy they were. We decided to walk to a restaurant and have lunch while we waited. About an hour and a half after we left, I was texted saying the car was ready for pickup and then also got a phone call. They checked the battery and alternator, which were fine, so they did not give us a new battery. We were also given advice to check out what else may be causing the issue my husband was having. The entire process was not too long, and everyone was very helpful. We have had a bad experience at the location in Fairfield and will gladly drive to this one from now on. read more

I came by Les Schwab a few Fridays ago for a long overdue tire/wheel balance and rotation. I first called around 1pm to see if I needed an appointment and was told to just drop the car off and they will have it done by closing (6pm). When I arrived, there was a short wait as the 2 ladies at the desk were helping other customers. They have nice displays of wheels throughout the store. If you happen to be waiting they have a snack/drink vending machine as well as free popcorn in the waiting area. Les Schwab will rotate your tires for free regardless if purchased the tires from them or not. They do charge $17.99 per wheel for spin balance ($71.96 total out the door for all 4 wheels). It was getting close to closing (6pm Monday-Friday) and I did not hear from anyone regarding my car, so I swung by around 5:45pm and was told my car was not done yet. About 5 minutes later I got a text saying my car was ready. They did complete my car by closing. They still had a lot of cars in the bays by the time I checked out and left and after closing time. They work hard to complete your car as promised at a great value. I would definitely recommend going here for any tire service as well as for brakes and alignment. read more

A big thank you to the Les Schwab crew in Vacaville for saving me from Costco's stupidity. Long story short I bought an Audi AWD for a daily in retirement to go between Vacaville, family in Florida and my house in Baja. I wanted an All Terrain tire and ordered a set within spec from Costco in Vacaville. The order took 3 days to fill and 7 days to get me in for an appointment to install a set of 5 (4 plus a spare). An hour after I arrived I got a call from the installer, "Joe" who told me the tires I ordered were out of spec for my car with Costco. They weren't but "Joe" must have spent the night at a Holiday Inn Express last night. Despite being 3% narrower than stock Costco refused my business. Enter the Les Schwab crew. Super welcoming, super knowledgeable, completely prepared to deal with my OCD about tire size, country of origin and work with the new / used wheels I brought in. A veteran discount got the price close enough to Costco to seal the deal, made in USA tires did the rest. This tire shop is the best. Here's my story: I stopped by to ask for help because my tire pressure was low--32 psi instead of 42 psi. I went to the Chevron gas station to get air and asked the lady at the counter if she could break my $20 bill into quarters for $2 so I could buy some air for my tires. She said no. I explained my situation because my car battery was also running low--down to 5%--and I was panicked and worried. Then I went to Les Schwab on Mason St. in Vacaville. Bought $1200 worth of tires for my truck. 500 miles later the tire hit a pot hole blew up and made us crash our Bronco. Vehicle suffered 12k of damages. I was offered a OEM Rim, only to receive it scratched. I was told that this is the way its sold for 500+$. Upon making a appointment at 8am I was in the bay for service at 8:30am and the repair was quickly serviced, only to have the TPS light come on as I proceed down the freeway. This location is going downhill. How do you not make sure all systems are checks or reset before giving a vehicle back to the customer? I have since asked for my account to be canceled. I'm completely shocked by the staff. I called to get a quote for a rotation & balance. I spoke to Alex. He said it would be no charge, I specifically informed him I did not buy tires there, he said it would still be no charge. I asked if I could drop my car off in a couple minutes, he said yes. When I got to the store a young lady began to check me in, she said it would be $70. I informed her I just spoke to Alex and he said it would be no charge. She went and got Alex and brought him to the sales counter where he confirmed he told me it would be no charge. The lady still refused to honor the quote that Alex was standing right there with us and said he told me. This the most unbelievable scenario. Call it bait and switch, call it whatever. This will forever keep me from ever using Les Schwab for ANY service. Fun fact, I'm the General Manager of the auto repair shop directly across the street from this location, nearly all of my customers ask us for referrals of where to purchase tires, I will be referring none of my customers to any Les Schwab location. This is truly the poorest handled customer service situation I could of dreamed of. I have been a customer of les schwab as long as I have been driving over 20 years. But they lost my business forever due to this locations terrible business practices. Went in about 2 months ago to get my tired rotated and balanced. Had an appointment but after a hour and a half, my car hadn't even been pulled in back.i asked about it was was bascually given a shrug and nothing else. No apologies no reson given. So much for making an appointment. I got my keys and left. Went in about a month ago to get a leaking tire patched and I thought I would need to replace it due to some side wall damage to it from a separate incident. They patched the tire and told me it was perfectly safe to keep driving on. Damage wasn't that bad at all according to their tech so they patched it.. Today I went in again to get the tires rotated and balanced before a road trip. After an hour and twenty minutes today, they told me they would not rotate or balance my tires due to the sidewall damage i explained the tire gad already been repaired by them so obviouslythey were willing to do work on the tire. Just not today cause they insisted I need new tires So an hour 20 and not one bit of work was actually done. No rotating no balance, nothing. All they did was try to sell me brakes and tires. I had my back brakes replaced in January of 2025. A few months later they started making a weird squeezing sound (when I wasn't pressing on the brakes). Long story short 4 different mechanics and 2 months later and we finally figured out it was my back brakes making the sound. Les Schwab resurfaced my rotors and added some shims and it changed the sound from a squeak to a rubbing sound. Took it back in for for 3rd or 4th time and they finally just replaced the entire brake pads with ford OEM parts fully under warranty even tho the original brakes weren't ford OEM and now they are perfect. Brandon and Chris went above and beyond and were extremely helpful and patient through this entire process. It was very hard to diagnose and replicate the sound because it was only happening when I first took off in the morning then it wouldn't make the sound again until the next morning. It was weird and wild. But they fixed it and I am extremely happy. Customer for life. read more

I called a week before I wanted to drop off the truck to make sure they had the parts. They ordered the kit for the rear that I wanted. The said it would take all day and they would try really hard to get my truck done before they closed. I was there 30 minutes before they opened and 15 minutes later they opened the front door to let the five people outside waiting started. It took about 10 minutes to fill out paperwork and hand the keys over so they could get started. They called me at 4pm saying they might not finish the truck, they were closing at 6pm. I called at 5:30pm to see where they were at with the truck. They said the guy working on the truck was going to stay over a bit to finish so I could come down and pick it up. I was there at 6pm and got the truck at 6:45pm. In my opinion they went above my expectations. Everyone I dealt with was very nice and professional. Everything went to plan and didn't cost any extra from what we planned could go wrong with an older truck. I will definitely be back. It's been a couple of weeks since the work and not one issue so the work was excellent as well. Can't ask for more when you get work done on your car or truck. read more

I was due for some new tires so I thought I would look for new rims as well. The wheels I wanted were very hard to get. I went to several wheel shops to find them. They told me one of two things; we can't get those, or, you can buy them and we can install them. I stopped in at Les Schwab and saw Dennis Nguyen. He told me he could get the rims for me and it would not be a problem. I couldn't decide on a tire size so Dennis offered to put whatever size I wanted onto a rim, put it on the car to show me what it would look like. If I didn't like a certain tire, they would put whatever I wanted on. Then, when I made my decision, they would put the tires on the other rims and put them on my car. Dennis was willing to do whatever it took to make me happy. Not for a sale, but for customer satisfaction. I kept apologizing for my indecision, but Dennis kept replying with, "No problem, I just want you to be happy, and I'd like to earn your business." Well Dennis, you certainly earned my business! I arrived with a very low air in my tire and they let me know they had replaced the valve for free. I was so happy and today I took my client who on Oxgen and they saw him right away. These guys suck! Had an appointment this morning and they didn't listen to me about what's wrong with my truck. I told them tire pressure sensor needs replacement or fixed ( they didn't do anything about it ) and I told them I need new rotors because I had metal on metal recently going on with them. Cost me 200 $ just for alignment and wheel balance for it to not solve the issues with my truck ( truck pulls and yanks to one side when braking ).
