Well, the service part of it was fine, and the tech guy was nice enough. But the guy at the front desk Leo couldn't be bothered with. Very unfriendly, not pleasant, not helpful, seemed like he woke up on the wrong side of the bed. I had a coupon that expires on March 31 (date of service was February 7). He wouldn't take it 'cause he said the system wouldn't take it. If I'm a manager running the joint, as a courtesy, I still would've given the $10 discount. Also, asked if a couple more things could be checked out, he said 'no tech available' so that was the end of that. Very stark difference from my Jiffy Lube experience last year where the guys couldn't have been nicer. Friendliest business I had been to in a while. I'd give zero stars if possible. Chose this repair shop because AAA is a reputable company. But individuals ruin that . Went in for a diagnosis, water on passenger side ,drain ports clogged at least all signs pointed to that. Of course next rains right away wet again. Seems they " take the path of least resistance " according to management..aka the bare minimum and no diagnosis to that problem was done i found out Of cours rest of car was looked at an a huge bill was compiled . Go back to have it redone. The say they took a hose and found leaks in the seals of the door n another area. I did not do the work with them. Seeing they charged a fee for everything but what i came in for ,so now u look very shaddy to me.. I went to somewhere else n no cracks were found only a ton of debris from leaves,etc clogged drain ports. well what do u knowwww. I was explained to like I was dumb and hung up on like I was an inconvenience. Bonus though, at the initial appointment i had serpentine belt replaced and guess what got flagged for replacement at new mechanic THE SERPENTINE BELT. WTF .. AAA Service...NOT! My son took his car in for a diagnostic test. This shop charged him for the repairs needed. My son picked his car up when it was "finished" and the problem still existed. He took it back in, and now they say it is a head gasket. More money! "It will take another week," he was told. He called to check in a week, but they hadn't even started working on it! Apparently, they had to send it out to another shop for something, and they were waiting on them. Within the next couple of days the shop says the motor needs to be replaced. More money! More than what he can afford, and more than what the car is worth at this point. If my son doesn't want to continue with the ongoing repairs, they want money for what "work" they have done so far. They don't know how to perform a diagnostic in the first place, so I highly suggest finding somewhere else to go! read more

My daughter's car broke down on the way home from her birthday weekend in Tahoe and was towed to this location. They discovered that she needed a new alternator and worked to get it resolved quickly. But it doesn't stop there, about a month later the car wouldn't start and the worry is that it was the alternator. We do NOT live close to this location and Aaron the manager offered to have it towed to him at no cost to me. He quickly diagnosed that it wasn't the alternator, but the starter. Now he would happily do the work, but since he is not local to me, it makes it hard to follow up on any warranty work, so he is having it towed to my local mechanic. Aaron has been an absolute joy and delight to work with, going above and beyond to accommodate our situation. If we lived in Vacaville, I would go here without question, as he has provided me with stellar service. read more

Absolutely terrible service!! I came in for a brake inspection. I was very clear that I did not need a vehicle inspection and the only service I wanted was the brake inspection. They called me telling me they did a full vehicle inspection and it was $200. When I got quoted before I left they said that it would be $120 since I was a member and because we were only doing the brakes. They called me expecting me to want to do the work and I said no and he got very angry on the phone and eventually hung up. I will never come here again and definitely do not recommend it to anyone. read more

Came in for a scheduled battery test. Vicky (sp?) - or Victoria, the front desk service advisor, made the experience hassle-free and pleasant. Battery test was performed by her and it was quick and free, as it should be. Turned out that the battery had been corroded and needed to be replaced. I opted for the replacement. In the meantime, Vicky did what she could to help make the wait bearable, while explaining exactly why the wait was going to take as long as it did. The price was around as much as I expected and I even got a little discount for being a AAA member. Shout out to Victoria for the accommodations, and thanks for the service. Came in to get my car repaired I communicated what was going on with the car.I dropped my car off again communicated low battery however the car did start with a little drag.Was told diagnostic could not be done without a full charge battery and I will be charged for them to take the battery out so me and a female took the battery out myself and took the battery to where I had brought it from because it was still under warranty. When I got to the location, they checked the battery and said that the battery was fine although it was low swapped out the battery. I re installed battery again myself car started right up no drag. I was told the battery was STILL low and diagnosis cannot be performed.i pulled up and seen the gentleman helping another gentleman while me a lady did everything by myself. read more

avoid avoid avoid they work on commission they will rip you off for a diagnostic that you didn't ask for and when you complain about it, they're more than willing to credit your account there for a free oil change, but not your money back when you get an oil change they tell you that you need to replace bolts another up charge. I had to call my credit card company to get them to refund my money. The standard flat rate charge on replacing a starter is 9/10 of an hour and they charge an hour and a quarter even the dealership was $200 cheaper never again. read more

On 12/6/22, I was towed by AAA to this location for a failed clutch. I was in a position to be sitting around and observing for a long time. In communicating with Victoria and watching her customer service with others, I was very impressed by her ability to advocate for AAA in a graceful and friendly manner. A few customers approached with negative feelings, but all walked away feeling heard, and with a greater understanding of what AAA stands for: impeccable customer service and to instill a feeling of safety and security. AAA is incredibly fortunate to have such a representative. She also had a fantastic rapport with the entire staff- it was plain to see the easy communication and mutual respect, which is often not the case with front of house versus back of house. I also spent plenty of time outside and was able to observe the service department from a distance. The communication skills, competency, teamwork and pleasant costumer contact really stood out with Derek and Anthony. Also, amongst the entire staff, Anthony (Duffy) had a very strong reputation for being dependable. Sort of a guru, superman character to the team. They are the sort of people that make an entire team run smoothly, efficiently and peacefully. AAA is a big enough company to not have eyes and ears everywhere, so I thought I'd let you know that you have 3 incredible employees at your 131 Elmira Rd, Vacaville, CA location. DO NOT BUY A BATTERY FROM AAA ROADSIDE SERVICE. A few months ago, my father's car would not start. He telephoned AAA and they recommended he buy a new battery from them. Which he did. Ever since then his battery dies after every use. He then called AAA, they recharge the battery and tell him to drive it about 30 minutes. My dad did just as they recommended yet his car was dead the next day. He telephoned AAA again, with the same result. After my father tried for a third time they informed him that "his services had run out for the year." I called AAA and tried to reason with 2 different supervisors. All they could offer was nothing! Not friendly from the onset, never bothered to tell me how long it may be, basically walked away without even making eye contact.  I brought in a $17.25 coupon from a competitor in Fairfield. Petrillos charges $19.95. I said "I have this coupon I don't know if you price match but if not I have this one from the same booklet for you guys at $20." He said "no we don't do that" as he looked down.  I sit down no more than 10 feet from them. It's a small waiting area. He then says this to the other guy up front:  Going to call them owner (O) and worker (W):  O -  "They're $17.25 at this place in Fairfield for smog."  W - "Oh yeah?"  O - Yeah. Just so you guys know we don't match prices. You know why?"  W - "Why's that?"  O - "Because if they want that price then go to Fairfield ok? This is Vacaville. So don't accept these for price matching."  W - "Oh I know!! Trust me I know! I'm not accepting those"  Honestly was taken aback how rude and unprofessional he was. And over what, $2.70? You'll never find me coming here again.  And trust me, I'll take my business to Fairfield, or anywhere else for that matter when I am on the market to buy new aftermarket wheels and tires later this year.
