I set up an appointment through the app for an alignment at 9 am, i arrived at the store 15 minutes prior to my appointment and i was greeted by Joseph the Manager of this store. I informed him that i have an appointment at 9 am for an alignment and he said that the vehicle will not be ready the earliest at 2pm maybe later!!! For an alignment? He said that there was 4 cars ahead of me which i dont see in their showroom and in the bays of the shop and only had 1 tech. So i politely declined and all i got was a sorry about that. Yeah i dont think you are. Just because its a free alignment i get put back in the back burner. They dont care if you took a day off to take care of this, they just want to keep your car as long as they can because its a free service. I will take this to the higher up, better business bureau and the BUREAU OF AUTOMOTIVE REPAIR, because they dont seem to take complaints serious now a days, thats why this business is dying. Be wary of this firestone business practice. If you do a drop off they can drain your oil, fluids or even drain your battery. And recommend you to have it all done unnecessary. I was there for a lifetime alignment and my oil was drained with 1qt left. They did a "courtesy service check" which is there normal tactic to touch your car and find ways to make unnecessary repairs. My car only had less than a few hundred miles until it was oil changed. So it was almost impossible to have it that low. My oil % was at 70% at the time. Then i see the how they would charge me for the oil which was not factory recommended. They refused to finish my alignment even though it was the service i paid. The workers involved were danny, jose, ray, lino (technician), joseph (manager). Joseph got defensive when asked where would the oil have leaked too. My car has no leaks and was recently serviced at honda. They wanted to charge me for an engine air filter. I have an aftermarket intake? that they wont be able to change at all...So why charge me or even qoute me. Or even bring it up? Fraudulently charged again. They were going to charged me for cabin filter also. That was already replaced by honda 1k miles ago? They clearly didnt check. Fraudulently charged again. I advise for you to stay and watch how they work on your cars. Multiple complaints occur from this shop. Report has already been established with BBB and Firestone corporate. Follow up to LEE S. the owner whose only recourse is asking the customer to email the complaint, none of which includes a follow up by the ownership: Customer: I've been in contact with them all day long with the complaint, I see this is your stock answer to complaints, as an owner what action will you take? I should have checked the Yelp reviews first before I even started taking my car to Firestone. I had to replace my axle and noticed there was a leak because the seal was not properly seated according to Honda dealer. So I took it back to them and after the repair, I noticed that my under carriage skid plates were not properly installed and was scraping the pavement when I hit even a slight bump. I took it back and thought they fixed it already. When I drove my car I can hear that it was still scraping. So I checked it and it looks like the skid plate looked mangled and I don't think they even did anything. I have wasted so many hours taking my car back to this lousy Firestone. PRO-TIP: Go online and make an appointment! Due to being fisted by normie life, unless I get a break, I can only get my car looked at on weekends and boy do they get busy on weekends! I had an appointment for a really early timeslot, 8 AM (which is when they open I believe) and there was already a line of people behind me from the service counter to the door. I don't think there is ever the possibility of having your car looked at and it not costing a pretty penny. But there is a difference between that and a business obviously scamming you *cough* Puente Hills Nissan Dealership *cough*. Firestone lets you know what's up with your car (I literally put the reason of the appointment - unsure and just described the issue), let's you know what repairs are necessary for safety, and what other repairs are optional but can be done at a later time. Many of the issues that I've had for months were remedied fairly quickly in the couple hours that I have left my car here and my car was ready for the road immediately after. If I can drag my car all the way to my car guy in SGV, this is the next best option. read more

I had a nail in my tire so I brought my car here, I was quoted $30 to get it patched if it was fixable. Ray called me and told me I needed a new tire and I needed an oil change. I knew he was lying because I just bought the van 2 weeks prior! The maintenance was just done at the dealership. I declined everything. I took the car to La Puente tires and got the tire patched for $20! I then took the car to Toyota to make sure the oil was fine and sure enough it was good for another 6k miles. read more

You get what you pay for and great customer service. I had to get my car battery replaced urgently. I spoke over the phone the day before and they were very transparent with the pricing (pretty fair) and how long it would take. I appreciated the person putting my name down for a battery the next day. When I went into the shop Sunday morning there was a very nice Vietnamese man who was very transparent with how long it would take and was very patient with me. I ended waiting about 2 and a half hours which wasn't that bad. Lobby was pretty quiet and free water. They got my battery replaced, whole thing costed $360 with the labor and 3 years warranty. Only complaint was the person who I spoke to over the phone said they'd offer complementary uber but when I came in person the Vietnamese man said he didn't know how to do that. So there was a communication issue. Thankfully I brought my laptop so I did some work in the lobby while waiting. Not too bad. I'd recommend this place. read more

If you don't do it right it'll cost me money to go fix it. I get called to come turn on my Tacoma and I'm locked out. I went for an oil change. They made over priced recommendations on engine and cabin filter replacement. They find ways to get more money out of you. I didn't go for the filter changes. Actually brought the filters on Amazon for both $22 and changed myself, very easy. They were going to charge me $200 for both services together . I did on their recommendation flush my cooling system and brake fluid system. When I got home, I checked and my vehicle had 15,090 miles. The recommendation for both these services is from 15,000-30,000 miles. I probably could have waited to have it done, the vehicle is about a year old.. Oh well, they got me on that. I will never return to this Firestone location. They didn't reset my oil change reminder in my vehicle as we discussed. They also could not find an oil change reminder sticker for my windshield , left without it. I guess they don't give out the stickers often so didn't have any on hand, SERIOUSLY. Don't get your alignment done here! We need reimbursement!! My boyfriend took his car in to get an alignment and oil change. We arrived at 10 am. Staff was friendly and courteous and the oil change was done perfectly. Everything took about 2 hours overall. Not bad until we pulled off and made a right turn, we noticed the DBC malfunction light came on and the car was consistently veering to the right. My boyfriend got another alignment two days later at a Firestone location in Los Angeles. The mechanic explained the report he gave us which showed how bad the alignment was done prior which made his job even more difficult and made our service wait time much longer than necessary all so he could make both the wheel and the tires drive straight again. We will never be taking our car back to the Walnut location for an alignment in the future! The LA Firestone mechanic even asked if we had been in an accident because of how bad it was, he could barely get the tire back on on the driver's side! I had an appointment to drop off my car at 8:00 a.m. At 8:10, the door was still locked. Nobody was in the office. The mechanic said the worker will be 1.5 hrs. late. I couldn't drop off my car. I wanted my time, gas, and wear and tear on my car to drive to Firestone. It actually worked out for the better. This sore has very bad reviews. I complained when I called Firestone to reschedule my appointment. Later the same morning, the manager from the Firestone sore called me and asked me if I complained. Awkward! I said yes, and I said I 'm glad that it didn't work out because I noticed this store has a bad review average rating. He told me he had a family emergency. I didn't have the size I needed and my local stores didn't carry what I needed. So I came in. They didn't even look at my car until 9:45ish! An hour and 30 mins just to LOOK at my car! Another 30 mins to tighten a bold! They could've easily left my car in the parking lot, used a jack to lift it real quick and gotten it done. Note to self, just to it yourself! I received my car back got print out condition of alignment and went off to see my nephew to take him disneyland. When driving I noticed that my car was veering to the right. I didnt have time to take it back because I was late already. Took car to diamond bar firestone 5 days later to get it check out again just to see if I get different result. I have print out of both alignment report and is absolutely shocking how bad it was. Untrustworthy I took my car in because there was a screw embedded in the driver's front tire and because I needed a tire rotation. (We had purchased tires here about a year ago and have free tire rotation service). I receive a call from Danny saying that they were able to patch the tire HOWEVER the passenger front tire had a nail in it and there was a slow leak and I would need a new tire. I asked to see the tire upon my return to the store. It appeared as if it was just made! Against my better judgement, I agreed to get a new tire because I was traveling the next day and fear of a blowout on the freeway scared me. When Danny showed me the new tire, he noticed the wrong tire was put on! It was 6pm closing time by now and the mechanic had to take it back to put on the correct brand! After about 15 minutes, he brings the car back out to me and I notice the tire valve cap is not on! I bring it to his attention which should be a quick fix I thought! I picture a container of generic caps in a container in the shop since it is a tire shop! Another five minutes at the least to get out of there! So, in the end I'm out $250 for a tire I probably did not need AND the company had to pay the mechanic an extra 30 minutes (overtime??) for HIS oversight! I honestly think this shop needs to have an undercover investigation completed. This is our last time coming here. Do yourself a favor and visit a different tire store! A few months ago (5-6 months)I brought my car for oil change, they made me wait for an hour even I had an appt. But it ok and they gave a complimentary oil change for next time. Yesterday I brought my car to another mechanic for oil change because dash board showed I have only 30 percent, and the mechanic said I was running the engine with no oil. My car was not leaking oil so how can I ran out of oil, I don't drive a lot, mainly local and retired. It makes me think what kind of service that this Firestone store provide. After my tire repair here I've been constantly adding air to this tire. Another Firestone location said they could not patch this tire bc the hole was to large and was unrepairable. Why didn't the Walnut 'location make sure my repaired tire didn't leak after repairing the tire? This could have causes major issues like an accident not to mention it's been a pain to constantly add air every couple of days. I bought the lifetime alignment service at this location a few months back, but didn't get the alignment that day. I took my car in for an alignment today and i have to say the service went smooth. There were no questions asked about my car (since i have aftermarket suspension), unlike other places *Cough* West Covina Firestone *Cough* and the mechanic Joseph did a great job. This lifetime alignment also includes a courtesy check on the vehicle, which is very handy since they noticed my battery was low and i needed to top off my coolant. Joseph also went ahead and checked my tire pressure/tread and noticed the psi was a bit high and asked me what i wanted it to be set at. I had nothing but a great experience coming to this location and will be returning here whenever I need an alignment again. read more
