I had a long day scheduled ahead of me and was just about to hop on the freeway and bad luck struck and I got a flat tire. While waiting for AAA to change out the tire with the spare, I scrambled to reschedule my doctor's appointment in Brea, while canceling my meeting in Chino Hills and dinner plans with my daughter in Monterey Park. I was supposed to be everywhere that day but ended up stuck going nowhere. I went on Yelp to find the closest tire shop that had the cheapest tire available same day because I wasn't feeling comfortable going back on the freeway on a spare. I was able to secure a tire for about $145 (tire, fees, and tax) on Tire Choice's website and also made an online appointment to get it replaced within the hour. I was mentally exhausted and just really wanted to head home and worry about searching for deals on better sets of tires later. When I got to Tire Choice, I was quickly greeted by Gina at the front. I told her exactly what I wanted to get done to avoid wasting her time hoping to up sell me better tires, and she got the message that I really just wanted to be able to quickly get back on the road again without pressuring me into changing all four of my tires. Gina was a doll and very pleasant to converse with. She was able to effectively multitask (answering phones, getting quotes for other customers, giving instructions to the mechanics), while we shared stories about our kids (my children and her fur babies). I think I spent 20 minutes max there and my tire was done. I was so happy! My overall experience at Tire Choice Auto Service Center in Diamond Bar was amazing. read more

Based on this verbal agreement, I authorized the tire change and the alignment.However, after the work was completed, I was charged for the full alignment service. When I questioned this, the staff changed their explanation, claiming that only the alignment "check" was free, not the actual adjustment service itself. This contradicts what I was promised beforehand to secure my business. I only agreed to this work under the condition that it was free with my 4-tire purchase, I will escalate this issue to the California Department of Consumer Affairs. Bought tires on Amazon because they actually had the best deal after calling around -- even better than Costco once you factor in all the extras, rotations, rebates, etc. Amazon offers local tire installation, so I picked this shop since it's closest to home. I scheduled an appointment A WEEK in advance using their available time slots. You'd think showing up on time with a confirmed appointment means you're set, right? Apparently not here. I arrive and they have absolutely no idea who I am or that I have an appointment. They ask for my name, address, order number, probably my blood type next. I wait around 15 minutes while they "search" for it... even though the shop is basically empty. Then the magic show begins. It takes them 2 hours and 20 minutes to swap and balance four tires. Meanwhile, I watch the technician put on one tire, wander off to chat, disappear for 15 minutes, come back, do another tire, vanish again. High-efficiency performance art. Two days later on the freeway at 70 mph -- the steering wheel starts shaking. Guess what? They didn't balance the tires properly. Shocking. Called Amazon, filed a complaint, and Amazon refunded the service charge instantly. THANK YOU Amazon for saving the day. Never EVER EVER coming back here. Quoted 650 for all four rotors, pads, and sensors and can be done today. I drive there, he didn't check to see if he had the parts (he didn't). Then quotes me like 1900 to be done tomorrow. He says let me see what I can't do. He calls around to get a better price, after 10 minutes or so he hits me with over 1600. I said thats 1000 over what you quoted on the phone. He then tries to tell me he did not tell me 650. I told him our exact conversation and he says oh... well that 650 is per axle. I tell him the exact conversation again and he goes oh.... well uh.... After the long wait on hold they just hang up on you. Now I have to reach out to the Better Business Bureau to file a complaint. Bad experience. Came in with a flat on the tread. All 4 tires had plenty left on them. Girl at the desk said that they couldn't take a look at it right away to determine if it was fixable. I had a bad feeling about that. Hour+ later was told that they could not fix the flat and that I should just buy four new tires from them; they had a "special." F that. Next day, took it to my tire guy closer to the house. Only problem then was that Tire Choice kept my wheel lock key. Called the girl and told her. She said they couldn't find it and that if I brought the car in they would order me a new one which would take couple of days. Again, F that. Tire was then fixed by my local guy without any issues. Been here multiple times just because it's the closest tire shop to my house and everytime Im disappointed. This time was the last straw that I had to make an entire yelp account just to warn others. First things first these people don't care about your car or your time they only care about how they can profit. Although Kayla is a really nice lady and she's helped me multiple times she's not looking out for you. I just spent 45 mins trying to show her my paid groupon gift card I used for a simple oil change and she was doing everything in her power to REFUSE my coupon and kept trying to sell me her store priced oil change. This was the most ridiculous thing I've ever experienced she kept saying that I might try to use the coupon again and ignoring the coupon code... Didn't even try to help me navigate the app. At one point when I was trying to play on the groupon app to show her whatever she was asking for she completely ignored me and still tried to charge me a full priced oil change. Literally had to call groupon customer service and finally got her to budge and apply the discount. When I saw all she needed was the original discount code that I gave her at the beginning I was instantly disgusted at all the time wasted because she was trying to scare me off. I purchased 2 tires from this store last October. A few days ago, I discovered a bubble in the tread of one of the tires - a manufacturer's defect. Since I purchased the tires with Road Hazard coverage, both tires are under warranty. My husband called the Diamond Bar store and spoke to someone (didn't get the name), who told him that they did not have my tire type in stock, but if I came into the store on Monday (yesterday) before 11 am, they would be able to pick up the tire from another location and then they would replace my tire. I was also told to bring my paperwork (which I did) - I thought that was odd, because couldn't they just look me up in their system? I went to the store on Monday morning at 8 am and was helped by an assistant manager (who let me know that he just started a week ago). He informed me that because he was new, he was not yet trained in how the warranty procedure works. He at least attempted to help me by calling the store manager (who was off that day), but after speaking with her, he told me that she told him to just have me return on Tuesday. At this point, I was livid - not only had I been told that I would be able to get my tire replaced (and I did NOT!), but I was there for 2 hours, taking time from work to be there. I appreciate that the assistant manager tried to help at least, but the fact that I was told the day before I'd be taken care of and I was sent away to just come back the next day, is terrible! The fact that the only employee onsite was not trained and left to handle things (but couldn't!) is bad enough, but to just send the customer away and come back the next day with zero solutions offered is ridiculous. That's not good customer service! On Monday evening (still without a solution or a new tire) I decided to contact the Chino Hills store to see if anyone there could help me. At this point, I just wanted my tire replaced already. I called and confirmed that they had my tire type in stock, and I was able to make an appointment for first thing today via the website. I came in at around 7:30 this morning, and I spoke with the manager there about what was going on with my car. He was very kind and was able to get my car in, fixed, and out by 8:30 this morning. I am grateful to the team at Chino Hills TireChoice for helping me quickly and efficiently. The Diamond Bar store, on the other hand, could take a few lessons in how to service their customers better. I received a phone call/voicemail from the manager at Diamond Bar this morning, but I will not return her call. I am just relieved that my car is fixed now, so there is nothing more needed that she can provide me. Too little too late as far as I'm concerned. When it was done with the tires and alignment. They came and got me when it was finished which was so convenient. Walking in customer service was immediate. Something you can attach again. They upsell me the replacement that 31 dollars OEM. They took 69 dollar labor for something that 5 mins to install. Don't come here. There will always be something wrong they want to up charge you on so make sure you LOOK AT YOUR RECEIPT before you pay because they will rush the payment and potentially charge you for someone else's repairs. Our vehicle blew a tire out on the freeway and we were desperate. This place was an absolute last resort considering our driver had another pickup right after. This isn't a review for AAA so I will give an extra star considering out of the THREE shops our driver took us to, they were the only ones that: A. had tires. B. were willing to work on a single tire at 3pm. While waiting in line for service, I listened to the person at the front charge a woman for another person's service which was $1000+. She was there for only an oil change. She refunded it after noticing the woman's name was different so i thought "Oh that's a mistake that could happen to anyone in a rush. That's alright." We wanted a single tire installed to get us to a trusted mechanic. Being desperate to leave, I caved in and got two tires under the "helpful advice" of the receptionist. I give my information, and left quickly since our driver had another call. I get a call the next day saying the car's battery was low (just replaced the battery last month), the fluids were low (we got a fluid change a month ago and barely drive), the front light was out (true), and the tires need to be rotated (we were getting them serviced elsewhere). I ask how much it takes the get the light fixed and she quoted me $200+ FOR A $60 JOB MAX. After I cancelled the headlight request then she tried talking to the mechanics to see if it could be cheaper. After this I knew they were just another dishonest. Before pickup I look at their other google reviews beforehand to see if I'm being too touchy and I'm not. They've done the same thing with others. I requested to see the receipt before paying (she asks for what type of credit card before telling me the price) and they tacked on an unauthorized warranty for two separate tires $40+ total. I tell her to remove it and she does reluctantly. I would not recommend this place unless no where else is open or has tires. This should be your last resort. My little sister got a flat on her way to work and stopped here and was quoted 400 for 1 new tire. She doesn't know anything about cars or pricing to she called me. 175 new tire. 80 for alignment and 200 for labor. Is what she was quoted. When I call and I ask for the same size tire any everything BETO gave me the runaround saying that's not what he quoted her and that he would break it down for me. I told him there's no way labor cost 200 dollars. It takes literally less than 1 minute to remove 5 lug nuts with an air impact. So tell me how tf does this job cost 200 for labor for 1 tire. I originally went to this place because I purchased tires and road hazard from their Chino Hills Location and Chino Hills was closed on a Sunday, but Diamond Bar was open. So arriving at Diamond Bar they were extremely professional. Fast forward a month later I buy a set of used wheels Toyota 17 inch OEM wheels and I go to these guys and tell them "okay lets break apart the steel wheels take the wheel sensors out put the steel wheels back together with rubber valve stems and lets break apart the alloy wheels and put my wheel sensors in them and air them back up. I speak perfect english so I was very clear with what I expected. Some time passes and the guy from the front counter I think his name was Mario or Marco some sort of M name. and he said "sorry bro we cant do it the car has 16 inch wheels and we can not put the 17's on them. I asked him if they tried and he told me no. He takes me to his tire tech and his tire tech thought I wanted the 16inch tires mounted on the 17 inch wheels. "VERY ANNOYING the counter guy didnt explain it correctly. So they got the job done, I asked his tire tech about why one of the steel wheels was losing air he had no idea why. and they were using the acorn type lug nuts from the steel wheels on the alloy wheels. From experience with other wheels you can not use the acorn toyota lug nuts on alloy wheels they are meant for steel wheels only. I asked mario or Marco about it and he said their parts store is closed and you can safely use them because its from 1 toyota wheel to another. I go home and I arrange to sell the steel wheels and one of them had a nail in it. After the tire tech at this location told me he had no idea what was going on with that wheel losing air. Fast forward to now I had to take the Camry into the dealer for warranty work and I'm told that the wheel nuts are the wrong type for those wheels and that they needed a shank type lug nut which is flat and has a metal washer on it and the acorns would eventually damage the wheel cutting into it with taking the wheels off and putting them back on, I was also advised that continuing to use the acorns would be a safety hazard as it could allow the wheel to shift and possibly snap off the lug stud and acorn nut. Thanks for nothing TIre Choice I had to purchase $85.00 in new lug nuts for a problem you guys SHOULD HAVE KNOWN BETTER about. read more

Very disappointed with customer service honestly, I'm not a person that ever posts or ever does reviews however, in this case, I'm just extremely disappointed the manager of the establishment was very rude constantly kept giving me different pricings and it was extremely confusing. She kept stating her system was off and just spitting out random amounts accumulating over 300 bucks, and it just didn't make any sense. All I came in was for an oil was provided some recommendations and they try to charge me an extra hundred bucks for a cabin filter. After I informed her that I just needed the oil change she got annoyed and just hung up the call without apologizing for these ridiculous charges. This had to be one of the worst car maintenance experiences. I took my car for a break job and I get it back with a cracked windshield. Save yourself the trouble and go somewhere else. If the price seems good because it's cheap it's because their work and customer service is cheap. I brought in my car with no damages to the windshield (confirmed by their own inspection as well)and received it with a crack to the passenger side windshield. Looks like someone drop something on it. This place has no regard for the customer what so ever. The Kayla McGinnis was the manager that gave the poor customer service. Okay- following up- I took the car to Grand Mobil which by the way James is great and honest, as it turns out the car did not need the upper ball joints as Tire Choice suggested but the sway bar and BTW James changed the oil, both air filters and fixed the sway bar all for $260......Tire Choice was ready to charge me $600 for ball joints that were perfectly fine! read more
