Went in for a vehicle inspection. It was the Tuesday before Thanksgiving and I went pretty close to opening time, but there were still about 2-3 other cars ahead of me. It seemed to be only a few people working, so one of them indicated that there would be a 15-20 min wait to get to me. I didn't have much else to do, so I got out of my car and waited in the lobby. The facility was clean and warm, and I settled in until another person came, confirmed my service request, got my keys and completed the inspection. He was very friendly, and the process/price wasn't bad either. It didn't take too long to complete and then I paid and was on my way. When we first came To Aledo 2 years ago they were honest and trudy worthy. Now, they do whatever they can to nickel and dime ya. Example. Wife took her car to get inspected. They said her wipers were cracked and would not give her a passing till they are replaced. They were 3 months old and were the high end wipers mind you. I had her being the old parts home. They are still nearly new. They just wanted to charge extra for the wipers and install. This is a terrible practice and not ok! After a 2nd issue when doing my son't oil change and then a 3rd trying to rip me off on an air filter (mine was 2 weeks old) i call it quits. This place is no longer what it once was. I recommend you find other places to go. This one has become a money pit that you cannot trust. Also pricing is nearly double what a dealership charges too! Crazy expensive!! read more

Went in this morning for a state inspection and I've never had it so easy! Helps if you're the first customer but also, they were incredibly courteous and fast, I was out within 10 mins! And you cannot beat a $7 state inspection! Would recommend! read more

Anything but quick and simple. There is only one person who does the state vehicle inspections and it seems they fit us in whenever they can in between services so expect your wait time to be longer than they say. They said the wait would be an hour and then another guy walked in saying it would be another 45 min - 1 hour because he just started them (after waiting an hour already). Absolutely ridiculous. If Texas requires state inspections and shops know this, get more employees to do the inspections so your customers are happier and more likely to return. read more

Who doesn't dread taking their car in for service especially if you know someone who has worked as a mechanic and tells you stories of having to upsell customers to meet quotas. I'm always on guard. I am also happy to say not all places are run like that ! You want an honest diagnosis then I would highly recommend taking your vehicle here. They actually turned me away for any service today because it wasn't needed, reset my oil light and said see you in 1000 more miles. This is why this business will be around for many years to come. If every business followed suit can imagine how many more businesses would thrive! Thank you for exceeding my expectations today! read more

NEVER AGAIN! I hope the people of Aledo and surrounding communities read this. I will also make this known on an Aledo Website. Customer service was horrid! Needed to make a phone call outside my car and they told me I had to stay in car and the oil change would not take long. It's 95 degrees! When I told this guy i needed to make call, he said "if you don't stay in your car, you can just leave and go elsewhere!". Are you kidding me? Company policy? Bullshit! This guy has no business representing your company Take 5! NEVER AGAIN!! read more

The first time I went to this Take 5, I was impressed by the customer service and staff. They were courteous and very nice. However when I got home I noticed oil leaking from my truck, a 2020 Ram 1500. I was irritated but not terribly upset. I returned to Take 5 and they promptly corrected the loose oil filter and apologized. The manager gave me his card with a free oil change. I was happy and planned on returning. This last Saturday I returned, I brought my truck in and was greeted casually by the staff and we chatted while they changed my oil; good guys. Some of the staff was new since my last visit, including the young man changing the oil. As he was changing my oil I noticed him spill some on the engine. I casually mentioned it to the guy standing by my window and he said it was fine and just a little. I then told him what happened last time and that I didn't want oil on my driveway. Fast forward 4 hours and see the attached photo. They did it again- this time, when I returned I was much angrier yet composed. They cleaned off all the oil they left on my frame and then proceeded to blame the truck. When I asked who was going to clean the oil off my driveway this time, the answer was to get some blue dawn dish soap- then, to add insult to injury. A young man offered me 25 percent off my next oil change. I declined. They should have given me my money back at the very least. As such, I have contacted their corporate office and I am awaiting their response. If that is not satisfactory I do plan on taking further action. I suggest avoiding this place and make the trip to ANY other oil change or service center. read more

There are three employees in the bay and it looks like only one is really doing much if anything. I'm the only customer here and I've been told it will be a 30 minute wait for an oil change. So much for the 10 minute oil change. Though I feel a bit fleeced from the "up-sale" on the "special" oil I need, wiper blades and air filter, which I already just replaced for my very common vehicle(s). I'm giving 4 stars because the manager Skylar appears to be a good guy trying to do a good job for the customer while not completely bending to pressure from corporate. read more

I went to get my oil change & my state inspection, and they came back and said I didn't need the oil change. I'll probably have another month of driving. They didn't try to sell me anything extra, they were very nice, and they work very quickly. Definitely support this business. read more

I've never gone to an oil change service station and been told that I still had about 1k miles left to go! Wow. No up-sale on anything else, no unnecessary checking of air filters, etc. That was it. They have my future business based on honesty! The staff was very friendly and personable. When it comes to automotive maintenance at many of these places, most can be pretty sketchy. It's ok. They change the oil and are nice. Very expensive though. Luckily they were offering a discount for 1st responders so it was about $35 dollars, about what in pay at pep boys full price. Asked to check my cabin filter and said it needed to be replaced. Not for $30 it doesn't. Bought one on Amazon for $7 and took all of 30 seconds to replace it. Wasn't a hot day so sitting in my car wasn't bad but would probably be miserable in the summer. Doubt I'll go back. read more
