I'm editing my post because the business responded & asked me to call a number that I already called TWICE, they tried transferring me to the store, no one picked up, & I called back & I spent half an hour on hold waiting for the customer service dept to pick up. I talked to the assistance store manager which supposedly spoke to the store manager. The store manager didn't give a flip about the situation. I don't have any more time to waste with this ridiculousness! Consumer beware of this establishment!!! I was LIVID when I found out my 81 year old grandmother was charged $100 for an oil change on a 2008 KIA RIO yesterday at Take 5 Oil Change in Hudson Oaks!!! The "tech" told her the regular oil changes last about 2K miles & the premium changes 5K! BS! I tried calling the store. It sent me to some call center where a woman transferred me to that location. At the store, it went to some automated answering that beeped & had no ability to leave a message. I called back. This time, I talked to a man that claimed he sympathized with the situation & said he was transferring me to customer service & they can handle the problem. Y'all, I was placed on eternal hold for almost 30 minutes. I was so mad that I drove to the store myself while still waiting for customer service on the phone that was never picking up. I walk in the store & the man sitting behind the counter was on his phone. I promptly asked to speak with the manager & he said he was the assistant manager. Hands shaking, and trying very, very hard not to completely lose my temper, I explained how one of his employees basically stole from my 81 year old grandmother & I was pissed! I told him I hoped he didn't condone this behavior & explained what had happened. I asked for literature from which they explain the oil changes prices. He goes out into the shop area & produces a disgustingly filthy & greasy plastic pamphlet that is in SPANISH. He said that's the only ones that have to show customers. What!? I ask about the $55 oil change. He says those aren't currently available because who is responsible for ordering the inventory didn't order the items needed for those changes (interesting). I asked about the employee that lied to my grandmother about the 2K verses 5K oil changes. He just didn't know (BS again!). I told him I wanted a full refund for them taking advantage of her & the fact she's on a fixed income. At that time, he proceeded to call the actual manager. He returns & says my grandmother was explained about all the options & he was sorry but there was nothing he could do. Wow, ok! So, folks, I just want to warn you about the deceptive practices at this oil change establishment. Who takes advantage of an 81 year old grandma? Take 5 Oil Change in Hudson Oaks, that's who! I'm completely appalled by the entire situation. I took pics of the receipt, the eternal call waiting for customer service to pick up, the filthy pamphlet, the filthy window & the horrible conditions of their bathrooms. Not that I would ever use a Take 5 Oil Change to begin with, but I dang sure won't now! My mechanics response was "criminal." read more

Pulled in and there were 4 cars in 2 bays- attendant unapologetically told me an hour and half. He expected us to sit in a car for an hour and half for a 5 minute change - won't be back- too many options out there to deal rude inefficient businesses. Second edit - this is just way too much fun. Following the immediately below I thought to give Take 5 another chance while on the way back to Benbrook. (Hadn't been there in a while because of some rather poor and time consuming CS) a year or two back . After Hudson Oaks I thought I should call first. Let the phone ring 10 times. Then called the wife and asked her where she goes. Kwik Kar on 377. And that's where I am now. Lots of oil changes going on but zero Insp wait. Here's what happened after I left the below: called to find out price on State Insp. Drove 12 miles to their shop (I pass by quite a few other places to come here) only to find out their Inspector didn't start for another hour. Would've been nice to have been told that. I've got other things to do today so I left and went to a competitor. Don't know where I'll be getting my next oil changes done. Back when I worked in mfg we had a saying for getting the job done right and efficiently, 'elbows and ________________ ' were the only things our supervisors ever saw. Same thing here. I went in for an oil change and Jeff and Anthony were so kind and took great care of me. The customer service was perfect, they did a wonderful job! It was really quick, and they did extra work as well, washing my windshield, checking the air in my tires, offered a coupon for the expense, and gave me a rundown on everything before I left. I will definitely go back for their help with my vehicle. Thank you, guys for being so customer service oriented and doing a great job! I really appreciate the service you provided. I went here only because my husband had a great experience here, and because we're both Veterans and they offer a 25% Veteran discount-I decided to try it out. Well, I roll up for a 'quick' oil change and have a totally different experience. A guy comes out and I tell him I need an oil change, he looks around, and tells me to park it. I go into the office and there's no one there. So I go back out to wait with my vehicle. Waiting, waiting, more people arriving...Then the one and only dude who knew I was waiting jumps in a car and drives off. Still no one in the office, still more waiting. For a 'take 5' place that was very inefficient and I'd probably still be 'waiting'. I'll forego the 25% Veteran discount to actually get service. read more

I was given veteran discount but they changed brands while adding oil. they never asked if I was ok with that but I saw them do it. I mentioned to the guy and he said they ran out of the brand I wanted Mobile 1 so they mixed it and said it's ok. I said not with me. Mgr later told me he'd change it out, so lie one was they were out. I don't trust them with my $70k diesel truck. He would not give me a refund so I'll have to pay at dealer tomorrow. I went to go get my oil changed on my new car. Has about 6.5k miles on it. They checkes it, said its fine and won't need to be changed until 7-9k miles. So I left. Couples days after my car starts smelling and leaking oil. My friend popped the hood and there was oil everywhere. They forgot to put the cap back on. Because of their negligence I could've lost my whole car if I didn't notice this. Such a simple mistake could've cost me a lot of money. Not impressed. read more

My daughter was getting ready to take a trip to San Antonio (240 miles) and was concerned when the 15% oil left warning came on. She stopped by Take 5 to change the oil before the trip. We were greeted by Travis and Greyson who guided her in. They did a check of the oil and it looked very clean and full, and recommended she had at least another 1500 miles before it would need to be changed. They topped off her washer fluid and offered us a bottle of water. Outstanding service and a super professional group who don't just take your money when it's not required.......super refreshing now a days! This is a message I sent last week and no reply. I would not recommend this business. I would like to say how disappointed I am in your customer service. I visited your location this past Monday at a little after 8 am. There was one single truck ahead of me and several employees walking around the empty bays. I was told there would be a 45 to hour long wait before I could be helped. I was told the reason because this was a fleet truck. I know better because I have fleet trucks. After using a local Jiffy Lube for years and having on/off good to bad customer service and an incident of damaging my vehicle during an inspection to force me to repair or it wouldn't pass -- I decided to begin looking elsewhere. And I'm glad I did. I pulled into Take 5 one afternoon and the employee informed me it would be approximately 45 minutes which I said I would return the next morning -- he then offered a bottle of water for the road. No veteran discount offered, they broke the oil filter they put on now I'm having to take my truck somewhere else to make sure everything is as it should be. Good and friendly service, but pretty expensive. My normal oil change for Mobil 1 synthetic runs $59.99 Take 5 starts about $20 more than that. Not too pushy about up selling (air filter, etc.) which I appreciate.
