When the bad times roll, they really keep rolling. Second month of the year and I've already faced my SECOND vehicular malady. I'll never be free. Enough of being a doom pilled, pessismistcel. Went to work in the morning and had a flat tire. Filled it with air but there was a slight bulge in the tire and the "Firestone" logo was sheared off of the NEWLY replaced tire from the collision center back in December... It retained the air throughout the work day, but I definitely needed to get it fixed. I had plans the next day and for the rest of the busy week, and of course work the next day, so it had to be something fixed ASAP. I checked the appointment system for Firestone. Unfortunately, the one closer to my house had no appointments left, but this location had one at 6 PM. I guess, this one is later than the others? No nonsense. Straight to the point and no extra small talk or whatever. I actually like that. There's a waiting area with a TV on, I think some magazines, some seats, and restrooms that are password protected (it's a busy area near the mall so I guess that makes sense). With the mall nearby, I just killed time there. I dropped my car off at around 4:45 PM and then got it back at 6:15 PM-ish. Check out was easy. Tire replaced. Tire pressure light isn't on anymore (had this error ever since I got this car, so this was nice). Not the cheapest experience, but what can you do? Got the job done. read more

I am new to the Covina area and went to this Firestone for the first time in November 2025. I had an amazing experience! My sister had several significant things happening with her Jeep Grand Cherokee and we went here for the free diagnostic scan and because they had financing. The manager Richard was amazing- he was super friendly, flexible, and great at explaining the work they were doing. Jeleesa also had fantastic customer service and was super sweet and friendly. They did about $1500 worth of work and the mechanics did a wonderful job- her car is running extremely well. I was driving on the 10 freeway, got a nail in my tire and my car alerted me I had a tire below normal pressure. I looked up a tire shop, pulled off the freeway and barely made it to Firestone Tire. Richard, the store manager, was just opening the doors and put me at ease and immediately got me set up for a repair. They have a seamless email system for receipts and communications. They had my tire off, fixed and back on (balanced an all) in no time. Great customer service! Lowest prices on tires I could find too (did some quick research after I got to home for when I DO need a new tire). Huge shop too, with plenty of mechanics. I highly recommend this place! Haven't yet written a review for this location of Firestone Auto Care of West Covina but I will say this, I've been coming to this business location for nearly 9 years since moving into the area and not once they've ever cheated me nor gave me any bad vibes. From fixing my puncture tires to giving honest assessment on my auto care that needs attention, the staff are willing to help you. Richard is to me the best store manager that I have ever encountered in my lifetime as far as auto shop is concern and cool individual along with their mechanic staff. Got into my car this morning with a 9 PSI on one of my tires, went out to see a giant nail in it! I immediately looked around to see what shop was open at 7 am and to my surprise this Firestone was! If I could give it a 0 I would. Do not go there they are scammers. On 4/8/2026 I had took my car to have a tire repaired. Employee stated it would take a couple of hours till they got to the car. I left my car and about an hour later the employee called and stated they could fix the tire and it would be 29.99, I authorized the work. I get a call 20 minutes later stating they could not fix the tire and quoted me for 4 tires instead of 1. The employee stated they never touched the tire. I decided to go elsewhere and was informed by the other tire company that who ever had previously tried and fix my tire went too deep in to the threading of the tire. My husband did call as he was mad at the way the situation was handled and spoke to police who had trespassed him. I filed a complaint with the company. I was charged $49 for "diagnostics." There was no diagnostics necessary as I told them what the problem was and I just needed it repaired. Simple tire pressure sensor. Not only did I overpay for this simple installation of a tire pressure sensor, but they STILL charged me a diagnostic fee even though I had the job done there. EVERYWHERE else, a diagnostic fee is only paid if you do not do the repair. I'd gone to this shop a few times before, but never again. Staff is not friendly, borderline rude. Additionally, they tried twice to push me to buy two new tires for the rear of the car... the current tires have plenty of life left on them. Lastly, after all of that, they asked me if I wanted to open a credit card. No thanks! Do yourself a favor, go elsewhere. read more

I'm updating and putting a one star because my check engine light is on. I just went to take it to get checked, I have absolutely zero oil in my car. How is it possible to have zero oil in my car? Did I mention they try to give me my car back without finishing the lightbulbs? And I had to ask them why they're giving me my car back without it being finished yet. And they told me it was because I had said I wanted my car done already. Well of course I wanted my car done already. it had been there for hours and hours. But that doesn't mean I want my car done without being serviced. Now I realize they didn't even put the oil in the car. They charged me for everything, took hours and hours longer than they said. Try to give the car back to me unfinished, and then actually gave it to me without oil in it. I don't understand how careless, not to mention the damage being done to my car for the last month while I'm driving it with no oil in it. Oil that I paid for. I don't understand what went so wrong on that day. It's unfortunate because the first times I came here I was very pleased with the service but now that they have done this I won't ever come back again, and I don't advise anyone else too. There is no excuse for not putting oil in the car and servicing it correctly when it was already paid for. I've been coming here for years, and the quality of service has declined significantly. My wife took her car there, and when she went to pick it up, the service tech turned it off without putting it in park, and it had rolled into the bushes, and no one noticed until she walked out to it and saw it still in D and the front end in the bushes. Then I had them take my old car in for an oil change a few months back. I went to change the oil myself, and the bolt had been completely stripped. It took me 30 minutes to get it to catch and remove. I don't know who they are hiring, but using an impact gun on an oil plug is the stupidest thing to do. DON'T GO TO THIS LOCATION!! I was quoted $270 for a transmission flush and then when I took my truck in some guy tried quoting me $710. I walked right back out. That same guy told a customer prior to me who was explaining concerns to him and all he had to say to the customer was "that's okay we'll just sell you some more tires". I have a 2021 Subaru STI and came for a alignment and tire rotation and the service technicians are so horrible at there job I had to go back and get my lug nut lock since I repeated ask if my lug nut lock was in my car and they told me Yes it was and once I look it was not there so I had to drive all the way back and get my lock back from the technician. A few days later my lug nut few off and the service technicians did not torque down the lug nut correctly and the fact this even happened is so disappointing since the service technician did not double check all of the lug nuts are properly torqued. I enjoy coming to this specific location because the customer service is impeccable especially for an auto maintenance shop. Very professional and down right real. No BS. They got my truck alignment done quick!! Didn't have an issue as the dealership showed me from their own report of how off my alignment was waaay off. Cant find an honest shop and we all know dealerships make money on repairs and maintenance. So thats a no -go. Follow the maintenance schedule and a reputable mom and pop place. If I could leave zero stars, I would. I usually don't write Yelp reviews, but the customer service my family and I experienced at the Firestone in West Covina was extremely unprofessional. Firstly, we took my car to get four new tires, and when we went to pick it up, we had to remind them to give us our spare tire back. They also scratched and damaged each rim, and on the way home, we noticed lug nuts on two of the tires had fallen off. Thankfully, they remedied and fixed the damage done to the rims, and because I have been a patron of this Firestone for over 20 years, we decided to give them the benefit of the doubt and took my daughter's car to get four new tires. This time when we went to pick it up, each tire was put on incorrectly so that the whitewall of the tires was showing. We asked them to please turn the tires so that the whitewall was on the inside and explained that we didn't need this to be rushed and would have no problem picking it up the next day. When we arrived for the second time to pick up the car, we saw the windshield, the top, the driver's side, and the hood of the car were covered in bird poop. When we expressed that we would like our car to be cleaned before taking it home, the customer service representative condescendingly replied that the reason there was bird poop on it was due to the area in which they parked and that, "Sorry, we don't have control over the birds." For reference, please see the attached photo. To have to explain that we understand that we know they don't have control over the birds (as we are not ignorant people) was disrespectful and the most blatant passive-aggressive comment we have been met with regarding car service. The day before when we were supposed to pick it up, there was no bird poop on the car, so we know it was possible to park our vehicle in a place where it would remain clean, and if not, expect that our car should be returned to us as we left it. When the customer service representative went to speak with who we believe was the manager, we overheard them say, "Tell them we'll hose it off, but don't expect we're going to detail it." (We never asked them to detail our car). When the customer service representative returned, she explained that they didn't have the proper tools but would "hose it off, I guess..." When they brought the car back out, it had been power washed. The car was left spotless, leaving us wondering why that couldn't have been done before returning it to us in the first place. How they believed that we would accept the condition of the car that they left it in without a remark from us and failed to take any responsibility for the state of the vehicle reveals their disregard for their customers. This firestone sucks. Was told 1 hour for oil change so I went to the mall to walk around for 2.5 hours. I walked back got there almost 3 hours later and my car was still parked where i left it. I went in and I had told my wife to load up our son using her keys before they try and run out and take the car in. And yes minutes later a guy goes out to the car and trys to take it in for the oil change and my wife told him nope were leaving!! 3 hours for a oil change!!! I've been coming here for years. I am going to be fare but brutal as a long time customer. I went in knowing that the work I wanted done would be expensive for starters. The cost isn't really what has me upset. It's the confusion and inability to remedy a repair the first time that has me puzzled. I have always received my vehicle on time most of the time as told. However, this time it's been 7 days of back and forth for various reasons. The installation of my rack and pinion unit seemed to have bushing issues, thereby adding another day of waiting for bushings. Then once that was completed they told me my emergency brake cable wasn't any good along with the adjuster which was basically new, and not needed. $261 for nothing! Waiting another day for those un-needed items, and finally I get a call. Hey, I got great news for you the girl said. Your emergency brake shoes are like new! So we just need to add those un-needed items I just mentioned that's it. Your truck can be picked up! I asked twice, did you fix the parking brake because it went down to the floor l. She said yes sir all buttoned up. I felt great finally after all that had transpired. Well, I go down before they closed and pay the big bucks, just to try to drive away with a steering wheel in really bad chunky clugging unsafe mode. I was like what the heck. You would think they would have told me when calling to say it's done, hey you need a steering pump. But no! I would have gladly approved because that is essential! But nope, that never entered anyone's mind there. So, here we go again, another day, another back and forth. So, I told the manager exactly what I just wrote here, he said yeah but to turn wheel you need to rev up the rpms. Wow, that coming from a manager. Safety and liability never entered the head I guess. They finally did the pump, but the parking brake still didn't work after they called me stating everything is ready. I go down to pick it up, and my mind wasn't on the parking brake, but my steering as that was most important waying on my mind. The manager tells me they fixed the parking brake and I believed him. As I drove away focusing on steering wheel, I come find out it worked great, but they messed up the alignment that they just performed two times. It pulled to the right. Then I decided park and use my parking brake and it slams straight to floor the same way it did when I brought the truck in. So, another day going back. I called the guy he tells me if I am there at 10am he'll prioritize my truck immediately and have me out in one hour. So, I get there on time and the service manager now tells me it'll be 3 1/2 hours. Even after explaining to him my appointment promise made by the other employee. After getting upset he says okay I will have your truck 1 1/2 hrs. That turned into to 3 hrs. Not to mention I decided to not allow them to mess with my truck parking brake anymore. Waste of money for nothing! They obviously couldn't figure out how to remedy the problem. They parked my truck outside with my tail gate smashed into the bushes!!! Thank you for more scratches! I drive away happy at least the steering is finally right. But with the thought that I will never ever again service any of my vehicals at the Covina Firestone store. Go to a dealer the same prices mostly, and at least they know what the hell their doing in any situation. Perhaps a different firestone store. Idk... They did install all the front end components nicely. "Minus a notice it needed the pump". Big fail! read more

So they told me no worries I'll be ready by 4. I never received a call so I decided to call instead and was told they were gonna check on it and give me a call back. Guess what never got a call back go figure. So I went myself at 5pm(note 1 hour later the time they said it would be done). And what do I see my car at the same spot I left it at 1pm. Walk in and they were still confused on why my car hadn't been worked on. So the employee makes a lie saying they will be working on it now that I was next in line. "Next in line I had an appointment since 1." So now im waiting another hour just to get my car. They have no respect for a person time and money. I had to miss work to make this appointment and possibly a second day if I didn't come in to make sure it will be done today. I can't thank him enough for addressing the issue so easily and without debate. Took my car in Wednesday afternoon to get it serviced oil change, tire rotation and alignment. Additionally, requested to take a look at broken car horn. Got a call back and was told that the clock spring needed to be replaced. I looked it up and the part cost $78 at Auto Zone and $86.41 at hyundaioempartsdirect.com. I was charged $149.00 for the part alone and charged $249.99 for the labor, an outrageously expensive ripoff. The worst of the experience is that I was called to pick up my car, then only when I got there was I told that my car key and fob was missing. Manager told me to give them 2 days to find the key. This was very upsetting as 1)I was not notified when the key was lost 2) Management refused to contact me back for the last 5 days and 3) Management refused to admit that this could of been done intentionally. This is very upsetting because my key was most likely stolen and management/firestone has refused to contact me to get me a replacement key and fob as well as re-key/re-fob my car. I dropped off my car as a walk-in at around 7:30 AM I call at 12:28 PM to follow up if my car was ready since I was told at drop off it would be completed by 1 PM only to learn that they needed to order the parts for my service of a transmission flush and an engine filter. They never called me to give me the option if I wanted to wait around or pick up my car. Instead They robbed me of my time with their lack of consideration by holding onto the business keeping my car hostage with no work getting done.
