I was helped by I believe the service manager Richard both times. The scheduling and the service. What really made me write this review is me waiting behind 3 people and seeing how well he handled the customers. He gave them their options, discount options and gave them all the information they needed to make an informed decision. Although as of right now this place has 3/5 stars, this is the best firestone I found and the reason why I drove 21 miles for. Told me that they were busy that sorry for the long wait but if I can leave the car until Sunday that for sure tomorrow before 10 they will have an answer I said yes is fine but my mother in law needs the vehicle by tomorrow end of they day cause is her main transportation source and she goes to work at 5 am and he said yes don't worry I got you. What a horrible experience at this store. I had an 11am appointment for wheel alignment only. after dropping off the car, it was supposed to be 45 minutes to an hour and a half for the wheel alignment to be done. After two hours I decided to call them and check on the status only to be told that it has not even been looked at that it would be another 2 1/2 hours to be completed. I decided not to take my chances and wait for 2 1/2 hours only to be told it's still not done so I decided to take my car back. If I can give the store zero, I would. Can't complain about these guys.... but sometimes I do. I guess it "can be" a hit n a miss? I brought multiple Toyota Prius to get serviced here. It really depends on the technician that is actually looking into your car. I noticed some were great and others miss very simple things that they should have caught. Like if I paid for a 19 point inspection, why did they not see some simple issues that didn't brought to my attention? Did they really inspect? I don't even Know where to start. I arrived at 7am to drop off my car and told them I needed a run flat tire and front brakes. They advised me they needed to order a tire and it would arrive by noon. I took an Uber home and got a call shortly after asking for my wheel lock key and I advised it was in my glove compartment. The technician called back 30 minutes later saying they couldn't locate it. So I told him it should be inside the car because I for sure had 2, but to call me back so I could return to look for it. He said he was going to personally check because only the technician looked. I didn't receive a call so I assumed they found it. At 11:40, 3 hours later he called saying he couldn't find it. I Uber back over and am walked over to my car where everything that was in my truck was in the floor of the body shop. Literally everything! There was nothing inside my trunk! I was flabbergasted, why wouldn't anyone call me? How long has my stuff been sitting in the oily, dirty floor? I located the lock in my center counsel. Which was also looked through, my entire car looked like the police searched it looking for drugs or something. I came back in and asked how long it was going to take, the original guy I was dealing with stepped out to lunch. The guy helping me was so disconnected from reality, clearly not reading any of the notes in my file. He said all you need is a tore right ? I said no, I specially came for brakes and a tire. He advised me since he didn't have the lock no work was done. I was frustrated since my car was sitting there for 5 hours and the last call I received was at 8:30. He said, "you can just get your tire and leave, since that why you came." I was pissed at this point, I clearly came for brakes and a tire so that's what I expect to receive. So I asked for a time my car would be complete and he couldn't give me a direct answer. He said we will have to call after the brake diagnostics and go from there. After going back and forth he said about 2 hours. So I told him I would wait for the diagnostic on my brakes instead of a phone call because clearly there was a lack of communication. So I've been waiting for 20 minutes for an update. I typically go to the dealership and pay extra so I don't have to deal with places like this. All the negative reviews are accurate. I had an 11am appointment that was setup weeks before I came in where Desiree was helping me with the paperwork. Everything was fine until they told me it was going to be a 2 hour wait for a tire rotation and wheel alignment check. Luckily the mall was next door for me to kill time but if for some reason you absolutely have to go here, stay in the Firestone building to make sure they take your car in. I came back two hours later to find out my car hasn't even been brought to the garage to start work on it. They then told me that it will be another 1 hour wait. I was going to give them another chance to take the car in so I walked across the street to grab a drink and still noticed that no one from Firestone even attempted to bring my car for the services I wanted after 20 minutes. They offered to give me a discount on a wheel alignment if it turned out I needed one but they had already wasted too much of my time to give them a third chance. I've been to multiple Firestones before and never had this bad of a service. I am never going to this Firestone location again. Great place for tires but not the best place for mechanical work. Took my Subaru there because it was over heating. I was told it needed a new water pump and thermostat. When I receive the car back a week later. There was parts in the engine compartment, and a red mechanic rag. This Subaru is only used for grocery shopping . So a few months later the water pump came off !!!! Yes I know. That's crazy. Well I called fire stone and they are giving me a hard time so my insurance is taking over it. So I come here for all my tire needs, and when I came here yesterday, I just had to write an update review on my visit. Needed 4 new tires and an alignment, made an appointment and showed up. Everything went pretty smoothly, was helped by Ray. He greeted us very pleasantly, very helpful and attentive. No problem there. He stated that the job will take about 1 1/2 hours to complete, and to make a long story short, we were out of there in about 1 1/2 hours, which is a whole lot better than what happened the last time I was here. Took my car here to get turbo and intercooler hose replaced... (parts brand new $800) quoted a price for labor around $700 .. took it to my appt at 8 am... at 5 pm ... i called they said it should be ready by 7pm... I was told a seal was pinched on the new item (wasnt shown the seal) that they removed the new one and swapped it with the old one. At almost 9 pm I got my car back.. as soon as i got home I smelled something burning and saw a puddle under my car... i took it back next day now their turbo guy wasnt there and was told to drive it for a bit and keep eye on coolant.. next day my check engine light comes on and car is acting wierd ( i gave them the codes ) ... I dropped it off again on a thursday but seems like it didnt get looked at till saturday. I had video and pics of smoke from turbo and puddles... but they said leak is on bottom of hose... i said no... then they say its on top.. now their saying i need a new hose ... BUT a different brand and they will order it from their guy..which means i wont be able to get a refund for mine ( order replacement and return old one with receipt ) also they want to charge me another $500 for parts and labor... all i wanted was parts swapped to new parts. I said let me think about it and that I was gonna go have dinner with my family at El Pescador across the parking lot .. i got 3 calls from them saying if I have my key.. i said no.. they kept saying are you sure you dont have it and moved your car... im like WHAT ??? I left the dinner to go back to the shop.. 5 min later they find the key in their KEY LOCK BOX....Prior to taking my car to firestone for "Service" my vehicle was drivable and had no check engine light. Since taking the vehicle to firestone I have not been able to drive my vehicle due to the check engine light and the issues stemming from what was done at firestone (Leak, light smoke from exhaust, smoke/steam by turbo, check engine light, and engine not running properly) since I got my vehicle back. I've been having to borrow someone's car to get to work since I cannot afford to spend money currently getting it serviced AGAIN for what should have been done correctly at Firestone.  My previously running car is now parked undrivable.... waste of time and money... $1500 parts and labour.. cant trust it was done correct now read more

Hello, I am reaching out with a grievance about the customer service I experienced at the West Covina store. I went to the West Covina store after finding a nail in my tire. I was told by the manager Richard, that he saw the nail in my tire. Unfortunately, he said the other 3/4 tires were in need of replacing as they were last changed in 2017. He said that I could have those tires replaced, and he'd have the team fix the other tire with the nail in it as that tire was fairly new. After waiting 4 hours, I received the call that my tires were ready. Upon arrival, I asked Jesse the auto representative if they were able to take the nail out of my tire. He responded, "What nail, there is no documentation about a nail?" I explained that I spoke to Richard and he told me he'd take the nail out and fix that one tire after replacing the older other 3. Then, Jesse said let me call another representative, Joshua. He said that Joshua took the nail out. I asked for the keys to my car to check out the tire with th nail before I paid. He stated that he could not give me my keys until I paid. I told Jesse to come check out the tire with me then. Upon checking the tire I saw that the car had a new set of 3 tires as I expected. HOWEVER, the nail was STILL in the tire that initially brought me to the auto care center. So, Jesse said yes you are right the nail is there and he proceeded to take it out. He lied to me about my tire being "fixed!" I felt discriminated because I was a woman. He lied to me by saying my tire was fixed when really it wasn't and he thought he'd get away with it. All he did was take a cup of water and drops it on the tire to show me that the the hole from the nail was closed. But once I got to the freeway, the tire light turned back on! unbelievable. read more

My 'check engine' light had come on and I wasn't sure where to go. Firestone seemed like a 'safe bet.' The oil change was too expensive but the diagnostic to check the engine light was taking hours. I had to cancel that, but later went to AutoZone and got a free diagnostic in 5min there. The part was about $95 but took me less than 10min to change it out myself. I just want to give a huge shout out to Andres, Angel, Eliseo, Richard, Jesse, and Honestly just the Entire team here at The West Covina Firestone. I Brought in my 2001 Honda Odyssey as soon as I got off work on Sunday Sep. 3rd because my car's brakes weren't sounding good at all... I kid you not my car sounded hungry while pressing down on the brakes. So immediately I decided to stop by at Firestone since it was close by and open to get my brakes inspected. I was greeted upon arrival, I felt very welcomed, I was asked what issues my car was having, I explained the noises my car was making, and I was listened too. They took my car, and they inspected it, while I went home. I was called back and they explained everything that was wrong with my brakes and also explained to me what they recommended getting done so that my car can run 100% with no more issues. My car was not looking so great when I brought it into the shop if I'm being 100% honest which I already knew was going to be the case as the car was a hand me down. I didn't know how to proceed then and there so they told me I could leave it for the night and get back to them with an answer early morning. While I was at the shop they explained and showed me in full detail what was wrong with the braking system, why my car was making the noise it was making, and also explained half the things they recommended getting done so that way I could at least drive the car safely for a while before getting the other half of the things that my car needed. I asked if there was any possibility of taking my car home that night but the team was concerned for my safety and the safety of others being in the state my car was. They didn't recommend me driving it back home and I totally agreed and left it for the night. I ended up giving them a call early morning to just proceed with the first half of the things they recommended getting done so that way I could just come back another time to get the other half done. They were more than happy to help and proceed with what I wanted. When I tell you how beyond amazing this entire team is with their communication and explanation of everything that's going on is !!! Just wow! I'm a beyond happy customer and I cannot express my gratitude enough. Thank you West Covina Firestone Team. I made an appointment for today at 1:30. The appointment was made days in advanced for an oil change. I drop my car off on time, I was today it would be 2 hours. Emphasis on the 2 hours. So I go home and 2 hours later I call Firestone to confirm my car is ready for pick up. LOL! It's not ready they ask for an additional hour so, sure whatever leave it for another hour. I call before heading over and they tell me it's still not done. It's 5:30 PM and my car is still not ready. I made an appointment and dropped it off for a SIMPLE oil change. None of the employees has any respect to let me know it hadn't been worked on the entire day. I could've made an appointment for Sunday instead of leaving my car at a shop to be neglected all freaking day long. When I told them forget it, I'll come get my car the guy laughed. Thank you for showing you don't value your customers on any level. I could've spent the day at another auto shop for an oil change but instead I was choosing to spend $75 for Firestone to not consider my time as a customer. Dropped off at 9:30am ready at 3:30pm I understand automotive industry because I use to manage one so I cut them some slack. The problem I see is the shop work flow is mismanaged big time. All the same issues and complaints and they can't seem to fix it either If they simply said hey it's gonna be a long time I can deal with it but not it'll take 3 hours - but in reality it took 6. I had a bad experience trying to get a tire fixed which was supposed to protected under the road hazard protection. I arrived at the first Firestone and didn't get any type of customer service, let alone reasonable options because I didn't have an appointment. So I called this store hoping for something better. Initially after arriving at roughly 10:00 am, I thought it was only going to be a couple of hours rather than a whole day as quoted by the previous Firestone. Since I had just replaced this tire through the warranty and it's failing due to manufacturing defect, I was hoping for a free replacement, and be on my way. Apparently, since I had two punctures and one was appearing to be greater than 1/4" inch, it was deemed not repairable and would need a prorated replacement. While I was reading the road hazard documents, the employee took other customers that came after me but didn't go out to measure the tread and give me an estimate. So I wait for about 45 minutes waiting for the employee to do what he said, but I had to actually go ask when he was going to measure the tire. Still didn't happen for another 2 hours because I saw the estimate on the computer say 2:30 estimate. It is now almost 3:30 and my car still isn't even in the bays. It's just a flat/tire replacement but the original tire didn't seem like a good value, I chose a different tire because these tires are too expensive and don't stand up to any road debris. Looks like I was going to waste a whole day no matter what store I go to. Very sad customer service and lack of communication or even acting as if your time is important.If I hadn't t already paid for the "hazard protection", I would just go to another tire sales or tire repair place because this is ludicrous. Be expected to wait at least 3 hours, even if you made an appointment..the mall is within walking distance right across the parking lot, so if you need to go shopping or have a meal across the street at Panera, it would be good to go to Firestone for your oil changes! We didn't get a free car wash, so I'm not sure if they're still offering that with the oil change. I used a mobile coupon that took off $20, but it only works for the first 5 quarts and most cars need about 7 quarts, therefore hiking the price back up. They weren't able to turn off our engine light either, and we had to come back on another day. :( read more

Stay away from this company if you need your engine diagnosed and worked on. All they can do is install over priced tires and breaks. It'll be cheeper if you hit the engine with a hammer. They robbed me blind. Came in with a stalled engine. Sold me 2 tires. A break job. an oil change. And an alignment. Almost $500 and my car broke down later that day. After all the towing, and the bill for all the work done at Firestone I now have no car and am taking the bus everyday. My job is in Jeopardy because of the bus schedule. I am now scrambling to find another used car or mechanic to help me, but after being robbed it's very difficult, as I cannot pick up extra hours because no transportation. I left a google review and was rudely called by someone from the west Covina officer informing me I was told my car was dead. No I was told it was fine except for tires breaks and oil and I would I have a working car for "6 months or propably longer". Also why would you sell tires and breaks when the engine is that dead.
