Ordered and paid online with a calendar of availability that said the wood could be delivered within a day or two. Didn't get the wood delivered for a month which was fine bec the guy had a family issue out of state. When the wood was finally delivered, and after confirming that I had paid extra for the short wood so that it fit in my stove, he ended up delivering the wrong size and it's basically useless. Texted to let him know that the size was wrong, which he admitted to forgetting, and then ghosted me. I found Firewood Guys through my Google search. I knew I needed red oak for our barbecue and was able to locate their website in minutes. I filled out the "Contact Us" form and received a rapid response via email. Through my email correspondence with Kyle, I determined my needs. He was ready to deliver the very next day. I picked a day good for me, he told me what time to expect him. I met him at my beach house and he arrived at the set time. You have a choice of getting the wood dumped in the driveway or stacked in the spot of your choice for an additional $25. I wanted my wood stacked. Ordered a half cord of Eucalyptus, which, considering it was New Years, was delivered pretty quickly on Jan 8, a day early, after Kyle called to set it up. The logs are well-seasoned (you can tell, when they sound like bells when they drop off the trailer), consistent in lengths and splits, with no small branches. And, I'm pretty sure I got way more than a half-cord. No stacking due to the busy season, but I got a lot of well-needed exercise doing it myself. read more

Getting firewood made simple by the Firewood guys. A large group of people were going camping at Pt. Mugu, Sycamore Cyn this past Mother's Day weekend and everyone was told to bring some firewood. I got lazy and googled firewood Ventura County and Kyle answered the phone the first time. I asked him his prices and where he could deliver the wood. Sorry to be long winded but Kyle arrived at our campsite with a quarter cord of great wood and dumped it right next to our campfire. Next Mother's Day we'll be right back in the same campsite and plan on having Kyle bring an entire cord this time and tell everyone not to bother bringing their own.
