Our Irish Setter gets a little picky with her food when we leave her and the staff at Von Vinzant Kennels have always given her extra care to make sure that she felt safe and comfortable. They take the time to get to know you and your pet. I have absolutely no worries leaving my dog in their very good hands. Jennifer Lampman

This review is a warning to anyone considering a purchase from this breeder. We purchased a puppy…read morefrom here about 10 months ago. When we came and met with the owner he seemed to know his dogs well and gave us a good pitch. A few months after receiving the dog we were told he had Nystagmus. Due to our ignorance of dogs we didn't see the signs when purchasing the dog simply because we didn't know what to look for. This is something the breeder should have known and in my opinion did know about. He sold us the dog anyway. The vet, specialist, and other people in the industry we have talked to have confirmed they would have saw the signs. He has been around dogs his entire life and I would expect the same. When I called to ask the breeder about it I was blown away to find out he didnt know which of his dogs even had our puppy. I realized that he was likely breeding litters from multiple dogs (which he has at the kennels) and selling people on that they came from one of the dogs there (who has a better bloodline). He was very rude on the phone, talked down to me, and did not take any consideration. Out of consideration for his business I waited a long time for him to follow up with me about the concerns. He did not follow up and didn't show us he cared about the situation at all. As a customer this is frustrating. We have a puppy that we are stuck with. We are now are stuck with the issues it has and the medical bills. I wanted to share our story so that someone else doesn't end up where we are today with our dog.

Update to my review: Maizy went into her first heat in…read moreFebruary so she couldn't come that month and her package days would roll over. I didn't realize it was only for the one month and I had kept asking over and over how many days she had and never got an answer. Several times I got texts saying my dog was checked out and picked up when they had actually meant to check out a different dog and they wouldn't call me I had to text and call and leave voicemails before someone finally would tell me what happened. I used to work for a daycare and boarding facility I know dogs get dirty at daycare but there was one day in particular I asked if she could stay inside because it was raining and we had literally moved into a new apartment the night before, staff said sure no problem keeping her inside and when I picked her up she was covered in mud head to tail. Then the next time after that my aunt picked her up for me and tells me she was wet. When I noticed a $10 charge for a "rinse off" and asked what that was for I was informed it was for when they hosed down Maizy and sent her home went and smelly saying they were under the impression I didn't want her to get dirty..... mind you that was one day I asked for that. I had planned to board her here after I had my baby but when I was given a tour of the facility I couldn't be more disgusted. The putrid smell of filth when you walk in the front door slaps you, the kennel area is dark, they use black wire crates from petsmart to board your dogs in. Nothing lodge feeling about it. I did not end up boarding there. One day I went to pick her up and I could hear one of the staff members SCREAMING at a dog from my car and he was inside the building. I asked one of the other staff members who nova was when she informed me it was his dog. If he talks to his dog that way, how is he treating mine? They want you to think it's a nice clean happy facility here but it's not. It stinks, the staff doesn't listen or care one of the two, and the owner just likes to collect whatever fees she can think of that day. General disorganization. I am a groomer I didn't need to be charged $10 for a hose down and regardless before charging clients for things you should probably speak to them regarding that first. Completely disappointed with the staff here.

I have 2 Cane Corso's. One is trained in protection work and is with me almost everywhere I go on the daily. My other Corso was adopted from an abusive situation and has trust issues. NO WAY am I willing to leave these dogs in the care of a sitter or a family member as this would not be responsible not only to my dogs, but to the public as well. I first heard about Country Kennels from my trainer and later from a K9 handler from a local PD unit. I was THRILLED to learn that they have "hands off" options in high secured, indoor/outdoor kennel spaces available for high drive and working dogs that are not easily handled by strangers. For the first time in a few years, my husband and I were not only able to take a vacation, but we were able to go somewhere without having to load the dogs up and take them along. IT WAS SOOO NICE knowing Country Kennels was there to keep our animals safe and contained while we were away! This was about 3 years ago now and we have used them several times over the past few years with NO issues! Booking is super simple and prices are straightforward. You have options of kenneling your pets together in one run or putting them in separate runs, and they even have indoor spaces for the little ones, offering a hands on, more attentive approach. I'm able to load up my dogs diet, any medications, blankets or bedding, toys and snacks and drop them off at any desired time within operating hours. I always know my dogs are safe and well cared for with Country Kennels and suggest this business to ALL my working dog friends!
