My dad first took me to this place about 3 years ago and trained me on how to use hand guns. Ever since then, I buy my Dad a yearly membership and we go shooting whenever I am in town. The ladies behind the counter are amazing. I only come into town about 2-3 times a year and they always remember who I am, and talk to my dad by name. I was also here with my Dad when he purchased his first firearm there. I can't remember the name of the guy that sold it to us, (I think he was an owner), but that gentlemen was hilarious and made the process so easy. read more

My wife and I checked out the Firing Line in December. We had seen so egative comments and didn't know what to expect. We found the staff to be really helpful and knowledgeable. There prices ar everything are very competitive on everything and in a lot of cases even cheaper. It's really nice to be able to try out different guns before you buy on their range. The shooting area is well ventilated and a fun place to shoot targets. We were so happy with it that we do all of our target shooting there. read more

I would recommned this place to anyone. One time i went to Center Mass and asked one question to 3 diffrent workers and got three diffrent completly wrong, and stupid answers. When i went to the firingline i asked this same question and got the same answer by everyone. The workers really know what theyre talking about and the prices are amazing. I really want to like this store. They have a really nice store but after visiting on several occasions my experiences here have been consistently bad. Poor customer service. And they advertise they have law enforcement friendly prices, until you ask about it & are told the price on the tag is the price. So much for helping out a fellow LE officer. read more

Purchased 3 guns from there and always had a good experience until just recently. Not sure what happen to the friendly staff that used to be there. I have a gun that I just purchased 3 months ago that is jamming. They want to charge me to look at it. Spent 1500 dollars there and they want to charge me, Employees now are rude and just seem to not care and just blow you off. Very disappointed with the customer serveice. read more

I used to shoot here a lot when they were off of Hix Rd. I went in to use their new rifle range at the Ford Rd. Location and it was just like the pistol ranges - used, but clean. After enjoying the fact that its really the only place close by that I can fire my rifle I got a little excited and shot a few round burst, forgetting about the no rapid fire rule. I was always treated like a little kid there because I'm not an upper class person and I cannot afford to run around in suit and tie all day, but I don't wear dirty clothes and sag my pants. So I have been looked down upon a little, whatever, but when an employee walks in, doesn't have eyes or ears on, and doesn't say cease fire, and just waits for me to notice him just so he can yell at me and treat me like an irresponsible child just seems hypocritical to me and just downright unsafe. After this happened I shopped and bought almost $100 worth of merchandise from them to finish working on my rifle. I personally will not shop here again, I would rather drive to Livonia or Kensington to shoot than go down the street and have to deal with these people. read more

I called the firing line 1 week prior to heading out there. I wanted to make sure my minor daughter was able to shoot with us. I got the yes they are allowed. We drove over an hour to shoot there. When we got there guess my daughter is not allowed to shoot because she did not have hunters safety. what the hell does having hunters safety have to do with shooting with your parents at a range. NOTHING. They told me it was because if there insurance. WHAT ever. I will never go back to that place. seams like they are not into our youth learning to shoot firearms. The staff was awesome. I was nervous going to this place because of all the negative reviews I read online here. But I ended up having a great shopping experience. They have a large handgun selection and allot of good brands. I was helped after looking around for 2min. They had the gun I wanted an M&P 9mm full. I agreed to purchase it and an extra magazine and we started on the paperwork right away. Even though one of the clerks was busy in the store he took about 15-20min on the phone to talk to a person looking to get their first handgun. The person on the phone wanted a .45 and the clerk was trying to convince him to get something with a smaller caliber like a 9mm or to at least come in and shoot some pistols first to see what he liked. They seem to be real friendly with first time customers. I had some interaction with one of the owners as well and he was very pleasant. All these bad reviews make me suspicious when they end up recommending different shops. I plan on doing business with firing Line again. read more

The store is very well-stocked for handguns and rifles (probably shotguns as well though I am not in the market). I was interested in the large selection of handguns, holsters, AR 15's, and AR 15 components. Robert N. was extremely helpful in the selection and purchase of my AR and I am outrageously pleased with it. He affixed my sight, provided instructions, and helped me get on the range right after the sale. I felt like a very valued customer. However, I also purchased a low end reflex sight with the rifle and was not satisfied with the function. No problem - I was able to return it a few days later for a full $450+ refund. The gentleman that assisted me with the return did his best to help me find a better sight but was fairly understanding when I just took the refund. The young woman working the range counter was very friendly and efficient. There seemed to be a wide array of rental guns available as well. The pistol range itself could stand some improvements (target conveyor slack/function had to tape targets on) but was otherwise safe and comfortable. The rifle range was similar but very well lit. Pricing on most items seems close to what you would pay online. I'm sure, like most businesses these days, they are struggling with margins due to competition from Internet sales but they've definitely won my future business! read more

The prices on the guns are great. Half of the people are extremely helpful and the other half are a little stearn but there are so many people in their looking at guns that it is probably a good idea to have some control in a gun shop. I guess I feel more comfortable with some happy sales people and some direct sales people. A gun shop is no place for fun and games. GUNS ARE SERIOUS BUSINESS. read more

Yeah, gotta agree with the negative comments here as well. A friend and I were shopping guns and were completely ignored as mulitple people came in after us and helped immediately while we stood and waited patiently at the counter. The place oozed of arrogence IMO. After 30 minutes of being ignored and another person sliding in ahead of us, we left. Incredibly unprofessional and unhelpful. This place has a pretty decent facility, 25 yards pistol range and 50 yard rifle range. Dont bother to sign up for the membership which cost $300 per person, they let you shoot all you want on the pistol range but they giving you a wapping $1 discount if you want to shoot on the rifle range. I wasn't informed of this when I bought my membership. In fact I bought 2 , one for me and my stepson. $600 and they don't care saying that it costs $200k for the rifle range, Thats only 666 customers they would need to break even on it and they just lost 2. Bottom line, avoid this place like the plague if you want to shot your rifle! I get an memberships cheaper elsewhere! read more

I had some bad experiences with Firing Line. First I bought a new S&W M 41 for $1000 from them. There was trouble from the beginning. When I took it apart, it was loaded with rust. Even after thoroughly cleaning the gun, there were feed problems. After telling them about the problems, they finally said..."Send it back to the company". After I sent it back, S&W had a hard time fixing it. Well, when I finally got the M 41 back, I went down to Firing Line to test it. I walked in to a full range. Now when I come in and there is a full range, I wait and then I am usually told that I can't have more then a half hour or our group has to share a range. That's life. But today, I walk in and the range is full, here is one group ahead of me..... Guess what, they are told that they can have an hour and are also told that they can take over 3 ranges. When I complain to one of the owners he treats me like crap. I have spent plenty of time and money there and this is how they treat their customers? read more

First visited old location for advise on purchase of revolver to be used as back up while trad archery for dangerous game. Ended up with excellent used 44cal super Blackhawk owned by a WLPD officer at an excellent price.My last visit was to sight in an AR build for my son. I was having cycling problems and received advise on gas block adjustment which solved the issue completely. Thanks again for great service in a state of the art shooting facility, fully stocked gun shop with the best prices around. The most unprofessional gun range I've ever attended. The clerk was very friendly until he looked over my I.D and noticed I am a muslim. He refused to give me a background check in order for me to buy a pistol and just when I thought it was only this individual, the owner backed him up and informed me that they reserve the right to refuse service to whomsoever they see fit. I was humiliated, angry, and upset. This place doesn't even deserve one star. read more
