I came to this range to try out a pistol that I want to get. This location had it. This range is really nice. It has a lot of lanes and they are monitored. They have a huge selection of guns, and rifles. If you want to try one without a membership, there is a fee. But with certain memberships, I think it is free. Our time on the range was good. What we received for our membership was a plus. The line for members was a little long. They only had one line open. Eventually a man came and opened another lane, but this was for non-members. read more

Range was nice but we got swindled on 2 lanes for 15 min each. It took too long to get us checked in and then demanded we pack up sharp at 8 pm because they wanted to close even though each lane still had 15 min left. At minimum they should have offered us a partial refund or 1/2 hour credit to another day. read more

I've had a membership here for several months and have attended a class. All of that is to say I've had multiple interactions with lots of the staff. Everyone I've dealt with is great. Very knowledgeable and helpful for customers of all experience levels. I've brought in friends who are experts and those who are new shooters and all have commented on how nice folks are. CJ, Julie, and Chris are names that come to mind, but really everyone is great. It's work driving past a few other shops that are closer to my house to come here. read more

I came with my friend to try learning and shooting a gun for the first time! The workers were so kind and generous to us and the cost is so affordable! The gun safety officer assigned to the shooting room taught us how to load and fire the gun and allowed us to switch guns when our was malfunctioning too often between shots. Our total for two people amounted to 86$ for one hour. They also have a very good monthly membership rate if you plan on coming more often. We had so much fun shooting here and will definitely start looking into spending time at shooting ranges in the future! read more

I have had great experiences at the Wixom RangeUSA location! On the 9th of November, I came in looking for my first handgun. I have never owned a firearm and was a bit nervous handling one for the first time. Doug L assisted me at the counter, and he suggested I look into a private lesson. Since Doug was great in answering my questions, and was very patient, I scheduled a private lesson with him. My private lesson was amazing. Since Doug knew I was new, he took his time to explain how to properly handle a firearm. He fully explained each drill we did, and by the end of my lesson, I was shooting with confidence and no longer nervous handling a pistol. He was enthusiastic and a lot of fun to learn from! After the excitement of my private lesson, I performed extensive research regarding what firearm I would like to purchase. I selected a firearm through the Range USA website and waited for it to arrive in the store. The purchasing process was straightforward, and I encountered no issues! Sarah was an excellent help - she answered all of my questions and assisted me with selecting a few accessories to accompany my new purchase. Since I enjoyed the private lesson so much, I decided to book the basic handgun class because I believe it's very important for any firearm owner to go through sufficient training. I just finished the basic handgun class this week - taught by Matthew H. Matthew is a great teacher as well! He was patient and answered all of my questions. When we got to the practical part of the class, he was able to correct a few mistakes I was making, which he did in a very considerate manner. I would absolutely go back to the Wixom location in the future for more classes. Only went there for the range as they do have a well stocked store area. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Lanes were in really good condition, well lit and well ventilated. Would definitely recommend shooting at Range USA. You can shoot your own ammo here. Also, they have a nice selection of rentals. Overall a good bang for the buck! read more

Range USA are a bunch of chain store fools. If you're in Detroit's northwest suburbs - go to Huron Valley Guns for your shooting needs. I had a gun purchase transferred to this Range USA location in Wixom, MI and my first experience with them was truly awful. I will never go back there, or give Range USA any of my future business. After waiting around for 10 minutes, I finally had to ask someone for some help. Sarah was texting on her phone couldn't be bothered to help me. When I finally got someone to help me, they then hit me with their RIDICULOUS $100 transfer fee! What a joke. This is after Bud's Gun Shop said they have a $70 transfer fee on their website, which is still way too high. These Range USA losers charge more than twice as much as Huron Valley for this same transfer fee. Nick had worked there like a week and agreed with me that this store WAY overcharges its customers. Shop local and do not give these Range USA jerks your business! read more

My husband comes here often, however this was my first time here. They seem to have a fairly large selection of firearms (but I'm not well versed in that area). The store is clean. The staff are friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. They have a good selection of targets to choose from. Great prices and clean lanes. This is our go to range! read more

Tried the range awhile back, and had a good experience. But an online order was a different story. After a few days, they just up and canceled my order after they claimed there was an error on "validating my address info", which I was able to prove was on their end. A simple phone call could have corrected the issue. They tone of the subsequent emails were unprofessional and rude, and because of f that, I will never go back. Be careful if the deals seems to be too good to be true, it probably is. read more

I was at the range trying to learn how to use my new red dot and the staff member Robert was very helpful getting me together with a knowledgable person to explain what I needed to know to effectively shoot using the red dot. Both were very pleasant and informative. Also the range and the bathrooms are clean. Little things make good impressions. read more

Very good staff. They saw that I use a walking cane, so they made sure I was taken care of. They have all the guns you'd want, and the shooting range was well equipped with staff to help you with your gun, if needed. I liked it so well, I'm taking classes! read more

Recently (reserved some range time for company outing to include range rentals, ammo, gun rentals with our group of 12. Some of our employees were from Canada and overseas. After ringing up $600+ worth, sales were terminated before completion after the manager explained that the group of 6 Canadians would not be allowed to use the range due to Range USA corporate policy requiring Canadians have a valid MI hunting license. There was no issue for our overseas colleagues as they had Visas. While the Canadians also had Visas, it was explained that the Canadian government wished to discourage citizens jumping across the border to shoot. None of the reasoning above made any sense. After all, if applying for a MI hunting license, it would require a gun safety class. Where do you go to learn about guns....? So after cancelling our purchases, we went over to Peacemakers in Howell who were both glad for the business and did not have any issues with the Canadians. read more

I gave range USA four stars because of the friendly staff and the cleanliness. However once we got the range the overseer attitude was poor. They gave my husband the wrong ammo and switched it out no problem. So my husband discussed with the manager about getting some more range time because of the mix up. I'm assuming that wasn't communicated because he came over to me starkly like well how much time do you guys have. While the other Caucasian couple was unbothered on the range and he was even friendly to them. I may come back because my husband really liked it but i have been to much friendlier places. read more

My daughter and I were first timers to the range, and Ryan the guy that helped us couldn't have been more helpful and patient with us.
