The company I was trying to cash the check with has banked with Bank of America for over 15 years and during that time I have cashed petty cash checks made payable to me at multiple Bank of America branches throughout Southern California. I've never once had a check refused until visiting this location. I came to cash a $550 petty cash check that was made payable to me by my name. My ID was verified, and after speaking with Bank of America customer service I was informed that the refusal to cash the check was based solely on the branch manager's discretion - not because of a bank wide policy. What made this experience even more frustrating was the inconsistency; associate #754 at the front was willing to accept my business deposit and provide change, yet he said after talking to his direct branch manager that they would not approve cashing a check made payable to me. I was never given a clear explanation beyond it being the managers decision. I was not able to get the name of the branch manager, as I was hurry to open up my office and after leaving the branch, I tried calling the branch multiple times to discuss the situation, but no one answered the phone. I ultimately had to drive to my credit union where I was able to cash the exact same check without any issues. This caused an unnecessary inconvenience and wasted valuable time during my workday . As someone who is done business with Bank of America for over 15 years, I expected consistency, professionalism, and a clear explanation. Instead, I am less feeling that the decision was arbitrary and that I was not treated like a valued customer. I hope management reviews how the situations are handled so other customers don't see similar experiences.

What a huge inconvenience they put me in for a ATM malfunction it has now been 3 days and I still have yet to receive the money that was supposed to be deposited cash in my account that got swallowed to the abyss by a "malfunction" atm. Horrible customer service both of the manager I spoke with on consecutive days were inadequate to say the least! Both were female one Spanish and one Asian.
