The server was nice but the service was mediocre. For example we ordered pancakes and had to ask for things like butter. Syrup jar was nearly empty. I had the Thai peanut black Bean wrap. Full of amazing searing hot (temperature) sautéed veggies made this wrap one of my favorites wraps I've had. My daughter and husband had the orange cinnamon vanilla French toast. Fluffy French Toast. So good! The latte was wonderful and the Service was top notch! Our server was so kind and friendly. Holy moly this is hands down my new favorite spot in all of Michigan. The Thai Peanut wrap was u like any wrap I've ever had. So delicious, healthy and filling. It also came out hot. The veggie chips were also freshly made and so tasty. I'm normally not a chip eater but these were totally worth it. They also now offer Matcha Lattes. I got the matcha vanilla latte with oat milk. This was one of the best matcha lattes I've had in awhile. It tasted ceremonial grade, authentic and earthy. They offer indoor and outdoor seating and the service was incredible. It's in a cute part of town so it was great to grab a bite and then walk around sipping my matcha. I'll definitely be coming here as often as possible. read more

The food is excellent; there are so many options! I love that the food is organic and they know the ingredients. If you have a food sensitivity, you can ask and they will either know or find out for you. They also will leave out an ingredient if possible. I also like how many vegetarian options they have. Coming here with friends we were looking for a nice bite to eat outside. They aren't offering indoor dining but had plenty of great spots outdoor. The service was outstanding. Our waiter was so friendly and attentive. I wanted the Mediterranean salad but as a wrap, and he was very willing to accommodate my special request. Others from our group got the grilled cheese sandwich, black bean burger, and chicken burger. The Cole slaw wasn't amazing but it also didn't taste bad at al. The chips were a perfect amount. My friend commented that the black bean burger was the best he's ever had. I loved their menu items, and although it was a smaller menu there was enough variety to satisfy anyone. It's also great that they had so many vegan and gluten free options. A nice surprise at the end was a small sample of smoothie. This meal was overall refreshing and very much enjoyable. I work in downtown A2 and First Bite is one of my favorite places to grab lunch. The food is always great, the staff is friendly, and the restaurant has a nice ambiance. We also order from them for office lunches and they always do a nice job. The only "complaint" I have is that the menu has a few types of burgers including a beet burger and a beef burger. If you're ordering a "beef" burger, best to specify that you want a hamburger or you might end up with a beet burger on accident. read more

This is easily one of the best restaurants my family has ever been to, and they served us one of the best breakfasts we've ever had. My wife got their Eclectic Egg dish, kids got the blueberry pancakes and French toast, and I got the Proper Pancakes. Everything was so good, and we all cleaned our plates. To add to the experience, the employees were all very kind, and they clearly take Covid serious, offering outdoor huts for seating, everyone is masked and gloves, etc... I was in Ann Arbor stopping at the bank on Main Street when I walked by a sign saying they had avocado toast two different ways. I don't usually order avocado toast, but it really sounded great and I needed a light meal. At the bank I talked to someone and they said The First Bite was amazing and they had a turkey burger that was to die for... I was sold I went into the restaurant and the woman behind the counter was extremely friendly. I chose the avocado toast with goat cheese seasonings and the tastiest roasted tomato I've ever had. As I'm writing this my mouth is salivating as I reminisce about the delicious fresh flavors from the avocado to the crunchy toast. I will check the restaurant out a few times before I decide, but I assume I'll change this review from a 4 to a 5 star, I just want to try more than the toast before I make that decisions.
