Why do we need to say ANYTHING about food y'all? This is a BAR!!! A great bourbon, whiskey and tequila selection makes it a bit more upscale than most of your typical Ybor Bars. The staff is so friendly and was happy to make anything we asked for. I LOVE my Espolon Tequila and had an extremely good spicy margarita (I mean 3!) And then I had a tequila soda after. I think I just found my favorite bar in Ybor! If you're looking for a chill time FCLC is the place to be. I went Saturday around 10pm and it wasn't too busy. I like that there is courtyard seating to be outside. The music was a great mix of throw backs and current. We had a blast sitting outside with our drinks. read more

This is a fun little hole in the wall that is not so small. The entrance is on the side street that leads to the parking garage off 7th. Once inside, there is a small but inviting bar with several tables and chairs as well. If you keep walking back, you will enter the courtyard. This is the place to be! One the night we were there, a dj was spinning tunes. There are also bar games and a small bar so you do not have to go inside. The courtyard is very nice when it is cool outside and the stars and the moon are shining. Drinks were cheap, and they have a full liquor bar. First Chance Last Chance is one of my favorite bars in Ybor City, especially when they are playing Hip-Hop and doing older 2000s and 90s songs. The bartenders are friendly and prices are fairly affordable compared to the rest of Ybor City with lots of shot specials and cocktails. I like the outside courtyard the best. They have a shot board out there which is fun to do with friends. Sometimes its a little dead, which can be a bummer but when its a good night here its a great time. Great little hole in the wall on the side street near Centro Ybor and within a stone's throw from the parking garage. My best advice is to go here in the afternoon or on a weekday when it's super quiet. It's soooooo much better when it's empty because it's small and dark. I've been here several times and always have the best time when it's just mellow. Drink specials are pretty good and the pours are heavy. They have recently remodeled and it is now even roomier. There is a great selection of beer and liquor served here. The staff here is always friendly and on this particular night we were served by Tracy. Tracy was a trooper to put up with Nick's antics and was delighted when we gave her one of our doughnuts from an event we just left. Exactly what I expected from a dive bar in the heart of Ybor. First Chance Last Chance appeals to a diverse crowd, but ultimately, ones who enjoy cheap booze and being surrounded by wild characters. To drink: CC Jai Alai and Rapp Gose. Loving the local beers on tap and these two never disappoint. Although hidden, Last Snow was available on request. Score! Other than that, your typical Bud Light, PBR, etc. Ehh not my thing no' mo'. Service from bartenders and bouncers were fine. No more, no less. The outdoor patio had space for locals to mingle with plenty of wiggle room. Plus, they did have one bartender serving at their outdoor bar. Would I come back? Sure. Was my experience memorable? Also I would beg to differ that this is a "cocktail bar" as they only make simple cocktails like whiskey ginger etc. I would say it's more of a dive bar. The bartender was awesome though. This place has become another dingy hole in the wall bar. There seems to be a layer of filth coating the entire establishment. Wobbly tables, greasy floors, dart boards turning into saw dust, etc. How many times has the patio been vomited on? Could you shell out a few bucks to get it power washed? Even worse, the bartenders would rather talk to each other rather than serve. I almost felt the need to apologize when I ordered because it seemed to be such an inconvenience for the bartender... sorry princess! Also, their crap service has nothing to do with their systems updating or whatever. I've had crap service there when it was busy and crap service when it was dead. I'm done with this place. I work in Ybor and this is where the locals hang out including myself. Let's start with the staff. Tracy and Jackie are more fun then a truck filled with hundreds of barrels of monkeys. They are super sweet fun people! Always great music in the bar and the super cool patio out back! The older reviews are a bummer but they are years old. This place is super cool. This place is fun and no bullshit here. They even have American Horror nights and DJ nights and tons of fun always! Please don't pay attention to the old reviews. When I arrived, there was no cocktail me u, but the bar tender Hannah offered to make anything to my taste. So I put myself in her capable hands and enjoyed 3 cocktails, the first based on gin, second on run and checked out with a whisky based drink. Visiting during a late happy hour and as as the night wore on the bar became more crowded. During my visit there was a DJ and too little bar tenders. Had to inquire by politely asking the bartender to remove her heels from the wall and place them on her feet where they belonged. The building & staff... This is an interesting bar. The sign reads differently depending which way you're walking up to it. It was my Last Chance the night I stepped in. The bartender was very nice and attentive. He kept our glasses full and was knowledgeable about the taps. The bathrooms were clean which was a huge surprise, and the seating choices are varied- bar top, tables, and outdoor. The drinks... Don't drink the red beer. Get a taste, but it's not worth ordering for real. Some big beer business cans a "house special" for bars to label as their own brew. It was garbage. Otherwise, there's some interesting beer choices to be had. Overall, the thing with the sign is kind of cool, but otherwise, this bar is not all that exciting. This is not one of my go-to places in Ybor but I somehow always end up here at the end of the night. The service is not great, neither is the general attitude of the employees (bar tenders and bouncers) but the ambiance is cool and it has a cool crowd. I usually park in a lot a block behind this bar and end up here only on my way out after hanging at other places - which may be why the service and employee-attitude seems so poor, it contrasts starkly with other places. This is not a sophistocated cocktail bar as others suggest. It's basically a regular bar with indoor and outdoor space. More dissapointing however was the fact that I sat at the bar for around 10 minutes before a bartender even looked in my direction, even though there were only about 7 patrons standing at the bar (most of whom already had drinks). I was standing directly in front of the register (where two bartenders were discussing another patron's credit card payment) and myself and a young woman next to me were not tended to until we kind of started waving. She went from waiting on one customer to a group of white males totally ignoring my friend standing in front of her. When I pointed out the fact that we were here before the large group she was about to wait on she says "And your in a bar'...so" I politely said have a nice evening and left. I wouldn't recommend this place to a dog. The bartender is apparently suited for her station in life and the owners of this place should be totally embarrassed to have someone of her caliber working in their establishment.
