We were very happy with each phase of our first day with this company. They set us up with their 1st available appointment that was over a month out, but put us on a call earlier list if there is a cancellation. This was great for us, because as retirees we could be available at a days notice. Both of us got calls to come in earlier than our scheduled appointments. Front desk staff were very efficient at processing Maggie & I as 1st time patients. The dental team makes the 1st appointment 2hrs long to do a very thorough exam. They want your input to get your level of involvement in the dental care process. The equipment they have is top of the industry standard. It gives the patient a good view of dental issues, allowing a more knowledgeable choice by patient & Dentist. We never felt pressured to additional care that wasn't truly required at the present time. We were given a break down priority list of items needed & told they would work with us on payment steps based on the priority list. Even given discounts on how payments can be made. They billed my insurance and I paid the remaining balance in cash like I was told. Everything was supposedly paid and done. Six months later, out of nowhere, they started sending me a bill saying I still owe them money. I called and asked what the bill was even for since I haven't been back to the dentist. They told me it was for that same visit. I explained that I already paid exactly what they told me to pay that day. Now they won't stop harassing me with bills and text messages trying to charge me more money. This feels extremely dishonest and unprofessional. If there was an issue with billing, it should have been handled at the time, not half a year later. I do NOT recommend this place. If you decide to go here, be very careful and watch out for hidden charges. It feels like they are more than willing to rip people off after the fact.

(Now I'll advise to go elsewhere.) Recently their office staff has begun harassing me by voice mail and text, threatening to cancel my appointments if they don't get a "verbal confirmation" that I'll show up for an appointment that I've made. I've had multiple calls during working hours, I even had 2 voicemails today! Including the texts I've received, they've contacted me over a half a dozen times in a short period of time for this last appointment. This is a rescheduled appointment mind you- they called ME 2 hours before my last appointment to cancel on me. ( With no 75$ or whatever they charge for cancelling with less than 24 hours notice coming my way. ) They then offered to reschedule me a few days later, as if I didn't have to prearrange time off work. It wasn't the first time they've done this, and with no ill will from me. Truly. Stuff happens. Heaven FORBID I don't contact them in advance BY PHONE to confirm upcoming appointments however. When I asked the poor soul who answered the phone today how many appointments I'd missed in my over 20 years of history there , she acknowledged that I've never missed one. So why am I being harassed? Well, other people have missed their appointments.... Not good enough. "We've noticed an increase in people missing appointments, and the fee is pretty high"...Not good enough. Charge them the fee, and leave me alone. When I asked them to remove my phone number from my account so they don't harass me in the future, I was told they would cancel all future appointments if they "can't get ahold of you for a verbal confirmation". Ummm you have my email address. You send plenty of stuff there ... "We have to have a Verbal confirmation." It's a "corporate policy". I stated that meant only people who could afford to have a phone deserved to have dental care. I pressed them, and asked if that was what they meant- they tried repeatedly to say it was a "corporate policy" before finally saying "yes". Ummm.... No. The availability of a phone is NOT A REQUIREMENT TO RECIEVE HEALTHCARE!! And yes. Dental care is healthcare. When I said I confirmed the MULTIPLE texts they've sent - I even sent screenshots - I was told the text system - "isn't working". Okay...1) why do I get multiple texts from a non-working system? And 2) that's my problem why???? If it's not working, you fix that problem. You don't create a written-in-stone policy that requires action from all of your patients due to the system you use not functioning. I was told they couldn't email me, as the system wasn't working ( along with their texting system). My request ( read as demand) for the District Manager to call me wasn't realized. I spoke to the office before 2pm, with no response from their District Manager. Funny how they can't be bothered to call me as PART of their job, yet I'm required to call them during my working hours or face consequences. My request for the District Manager's contact information was refused, noting it was "corporate policy" not to give it out. They would have to email her - which prompted the question "so you do have functioning email?". "You just told me a minute ago your text and email systems didn't work". No (to me) valid responses were provided to that question. So goodbye Sativa. Goodbye Dr. Dominguez... I'll truly miss both of you. You've provided me with excellent care over the years. I just wish you weren't aligned with the corporate entity that is Perfect Teeth. The two of you deserve better... And so do I. I'll be there tomorrow at 9 am for my appointment, if only to request a copy of my records and to say goodbye in person. The dental hygienist at RRMD diagnosed me with periodontal disease and said I would need "extra treatment" my insurance paid $160 and I paid $40 out-of-pocket for the "extra treatment" ** The hygienist at my new dentist said "It's a good thing you came in because your teeth really need to be cleaned" She did NOT diagnose me with periodontal disease. I never mentioned that my teeth had been cleaned at RRMD on April 7th. I guess the "extra treatment" wasn't effective. 2. Dr. Leeper refused to take off the bone graft replacement from my estimate. I was told by front desk staff that Dr. Leeper told her "it doesn't look like the same kind of bone graft that we use" and that they would have to wait until they "got in there" to see if it needed replaced. That's when I canceled my surgery. On the estimate they gave me, the bone graft replacement was $5,624.00!!! ** I asked my new dentist if bone grafts ever needed to be replaced. She said "Nope, the metal post can be drilled into any bone graft" 3. In my opinion, the front desk staff needs to be trained better on insurance and billing. My husband called RRMD regarding our refund because nobody from the office had reached out to us after several weeks. The front desk person told him that the refund was almost $200 less than our estimate from our EOB's. My husband had to physically go down to the office and go through our EOB's with the office manager. The office manager had to explain to the front desk person what she had missed. It was found in our favor and we were refunded the correct amount. I truly believe that if we hadn't been paying attention, we would not have received our full refund. 4. Lack of communication. Every email, message on my chart/smile generation and every phone message I left was unanswered. I was the one who had to reach out to them. Nobody ever communicated back. If you do choose to go to this office, my advice would be... If something doesn't seem right, get a second opinion. Know your insurance benefits. Get a detailed receipt and compare it to your EOB's.
