Upon arriving, Mike the contractor found that our chimney was unlined (not atypical for older homes apparently). He made a big fuss about how dangerous this is and how important it was to get it done; he invoked God's name several times in order to assure us that he's a god-fearing fair man who hates other companies that take advantage of people with their high prices and even told us that there would be no charge for the "inspection" since although we hired him for a cleaning, gas running chimney "don't need to be cleaned". Why does this company call offering services that they know are actually unnecessary??? And then use the non-charging of it as a sign of their generosity?? Anyway, we were so concerned about the potential for gas leakage that we signed the provisional contract with them, with the understanding that you have until 2 days before the installation date to cancel the contract. I called around to other companies and lo and behold, a small business nearby with excellent reviews could do the same job for more than $1,000.00 less!! I called to cancel the appointment well within the allotted time but getting Mike the owner to call back is almost impossible. It seems he's never in and is the only one who can handle canceling of contracts. Instead of getting a call back from him I got a furious call from Mike the contractor, shouting at me about what an inconsiderate person I am, explaining away the reasons why larger business like their charge more (what??!), and trying to verbally bully me into letting them do the job for a lower fee. I actually had to hang up on him because of the yelling. It wan't until my 3rd call to the company over the span of that day that Mike the owner called back to try to be the good cop and gently try to coax me into going ahead with the contract with them. There was no way I was going to give them any business at this point and I made that clear, so Mike the owner decided that I owed them about $70 for the inspection and estimate. As Mike the contractor stated when I met him, NO ONE should pay for a chimney cleaning if they have gas since it's not necessary, and, if you checked their site at the time I did business with them, they were supposedly doing FREE estimates for lining installations. None of that applied to me apparently and I felt worn down by the day-long arguments with these people (including the rude office assistants who took my messages), so I decided they were far too desperate for that money and let them have it so long as I cancelled the contract. I was much happier about the service I got from the small local business I went with and I would recommend everyone shop around before doing business with these Em &Em. Their business practices are disgusting.

We met Marty by a referral when looking to update the front of our home. Our original pavers were 40+ years old. We loved the unique shape and style but needed a refresh. From start to finish, Marty was punctual, communicated well, delivered beautiful stone work and offered very competitive pricing. We used a combination of bluestone, cobblestone, culturestone and Cambridge cobalt pavers. MJD nailed the half moon shape and retained the look we adored and even added a planters box to highlight tree we have out front. We loved it so much, fast forward one year later we brought back MJD for our back patio. Work included steppingstones, full "figure 8" pool coping and pavers including plumbing (which MJD coordinated), columns to our bar, and a planters box. I recently moved into a flip and, to both of our surprise, discovered feet of concrete and bricks stuffed in the middle of my chimney -- meaning my hot water heater and gas line weren't venting properly. Oscar and his team quite literally saved my life. When you buy a new home, you never know what surprises are waiting behind the walls. Oscar went above and beyond to make sure I was safe, that the job was done correctly, and that they'd leave with absolutely no trace they were ever there. Mid-project, they had to open a wall, and not only did they patch the drywall, but they painted it, too -- you'd never know it was touched. He took the time to explain everything in detail so I could actually understand the process, documented every step, and made me feel like a true partner in the project. One thing he said that really stuck with me was: "I know you own the house, but it's our fireplace now." That level of care and pride in his work says it all. Our project includes replacing the current patio with pavers, building a new walkway, replacing two…read morestoops with blue stone and replacing the existing asphalt driveway with a concrete driveway. After getting proposals from 5 contractors, we decided to go with LIMC for the project. Tommy and his son came by twice to ensure the measurements are correct and their proposal is one of the most competitive in terms of pricing. I wanted to have a concrete base for the pavers because my previous patio was set on regular gravel base and had settled unevenly after just two years. The whole project took about two weeks from start to finish. Tommy's crew worked efficiently without cutting any corners. You can definitely tell that they are experienced with concrete and masonry. We decided to go with the Cambridge Toffee Onyx ledgestone pavers with Mocha Border. For the driveway, we went with graphite colored concrete with pavers circle and apron. The result was spectacular. I have gotten so many compliments from neighbors on my driveway. The blue stone stoops were excellent as well.
