Apart from the apple store, I really don't visit any other store in this mall. Don't know what changed but it seems to have taken a backseat to other malls in terms of appeal. Food court always has people trying to get you to try samples but if you aren't in the mood for that it can be quite annoying. read more

I shop here regularly because it's near my home but the mall has become tacky. The stores are typical mall stores for the area there should be better upscale stores. I don't always want to travel to Memorial City for upscale stores. read more

Nice mall. Kids and women love it. Not a lot for the average male. However it is a good hangout for the family. Nice scenery!

A mall with carpet in the corridors...have not seen that in decades. Anyway, plenty of stores, but there is a strange layout. We almost missed a few stores as we could not find them due to the weird layout. I like first colony, but I won't drive all the way across town as I think Baybrook has a better selection of stores. read more

As years go by, the more crowded this mall gets. They should really get rid of some stores to put in more trendy stores (H&M, Topshop, Urban Outfitters, etc.). The service is also horrible around the First Colony area. Theres always horrible traffic driving to the First Colony area so make sure to take the backway. read more

Absolutely chaos in term of navigating and parking. Crazy suburban drivers acting like they are in a demolition derby while fighting for parking spaces. This used to be my go-to mall before Katy Mills opened. Katy Mills just has more variety. If I'm looking for an evening out, this is a great place to go as there are a lot of pretty good restaurants. I also like the outdoor shopping section of the mall with the Charming Charlie. I probably only end up here once every 3 months or so though. read more

This is an oldie but a goodie for me. I was in high school when this place opened up and I come here to visit every once in a while. THere's all your staples here and a great place to just hang out. Ample parking, decent food court and it's nice they added the "outside stores". read more

I'm giving one star not to the Mall but to Dillards in First Colony. WARNING DON'T BUY ANYTHING if you might return it!!! I recently bought a dress there for 160 dollars and two days later tried to return it with the tags still on and still in the bag. I had bought it for a wedding and then relized that I didn't think it was right for the occasion. So two days later I tried to return the dress. I first spoke to the dress manager who said she would not return it because it had looked like I had worn it. I told her the only time I had worn the dress was in thier dressing room when I had tried it on. She then told me that I had to have worn it because there was deoderant under the armpits of it. I looked and didn't see anything at all. I asked her to point it out and she pointed at the seam. Nope still didn't see anything. So after dealing with her who by the way was extreamy rude. I asked for the store manager, suprisingly she was at lunch and wouldn't be back for an hour. So frustrated I called my husband to tell him about the ordeal. He called Dillards and spoke to another manager and called me back to take the dress to the manager he just spoke to. So I went back again and showed the next mangager. He looked at it for about 3 seconds and then said no he would not return it, put it in a bag, handed it to me and then just walked away. Not even an appology for my inconvince. After this I was obviously getting mad and just walked out of the store. Then about 30 min. later my husband called me again and said he had spoken to the General Manager and she said she would not take it back either, she didn't even see the dress. This is the worst customer service I have EVER recived!! And I just put this out there as a warning to others. Do not even think about returning anything to Dillards. If you want to check out other complaints just get on Consumer Reports. We aren't the only Dillards with complaints there is even one on there that played out just like mine. read more

First Colony Mall has pretty much the "popular" basic stores, like big name department stores. If you're here to browse around or just to hang out, it's all right. If you're really looking for a specific item or itching for a shopping spree, you might as well head to a larger mall. read more

This mall in more recent years has become a haven for the not so courteous youth. No I am not old for saying that is just the truth. They have a few good stores, but many cater to the younger sect. I think if they garnered a few more "adult" stores they would have more well rounded clientele. While the new section outside contains many nice eateries and shops, it did eat up lots of parking. I try to avoid it during peak hours like after school weekdays, weekends, and holidays if I can. read more

At first I was confused with the layout of this mall. It didn't really make much sense. But I guess it allows for more parking options. I am not really a fan of this mall. It has many of the stores that other Greater Houston area malls have, but they seem smaller and disorganized. My boyfriend and I enjoy going to the mall to people watch and although there were a lot of people to watch, there wasn't very good seating throughout this mall as compared to other malls. read more

This mall has pretty much every store that Memorial City Mall does except that it is way out in Sugar Land, TX. Their food court is OK. There are not as many different options as a usual mall would seem to have. This mall does not seem to be as busy as MCM or Galleria though so walking around is a lot easier. Their "halls" seem wider so more stroller friendly. There are a lot of other stores also nearby that are not a part of the mall but almost in the same strip center. Overall, nice mall. read more

I like this place, I really do. I mean yeah it's a suburban mall but it's a better example of one then most. It's clean, it has a decent selection of stores, it's got a lot of good out parcel shopping near by and it's easy to navigate. I found the clientele to be diverse and polite. Maybe that will change after school lets out for the summer or on a weekend but the two week days I've been here have been pleasant enough. This is probably the closest mall to where I live now and I don't mind that at all, which is more then I can say for some malls I've lived near in the past. read more

This mall has NOTHING. I live right next to the Galleria. So, maybe I am a little spoiled, but this is just ridiculous. There wasn't anything in the stores. I LOVE this mall. It may be on the smaller side but it has some great stores and love Cheesecake Factory!!!!

I came here for the first time today since the 00's, and it's on track to be the Sharpstown of the decade (remember Sharpstown, y'all?). It's a super basic mall with your run of the mill department stores and a lot of stores targeted toward teens or their moms. I.e., there's nothing trendy about it except the Apple store and the Lululemon right outside. It doesn't even have a Gap. What kind of mall can't sustain a Gap? The most disappointing part was that I experienced sub-standard customer service at every store I went to (Macy's, JCPenny's Sephora, Great American Cookie Co, and see my Sephora review below). This used to be my second mall of choice when I was growing up, but it's Galleria all the way for me from now on. read more

Worst mall ever. Their version of a nice store is the Michael Kors one. You can't find anything nice here. It's targeted mainly to teenagers I would say, because they don't have money to spend. Parking is always a nightmare too, I don't see why it's always so packed. Kids hang out here alone and walk around in packs. Some people I know work here and I feel sorry for them. I dread coming here when I'm in town (my family loves it). The Galleria is the only mall worth shopping at in Houston. read more

But I go here for window shop ans sometime buy games from gamestop or buy some stuff at the outlets. But it's cool I don't eat at the food court because I hear it's now a health hazard fro. First Colony Mall topples both Galleria and Memorial City Mall in my opinion. Not only is selection good, but prices are better than the other two. One could spend hours at a time at the mall, then afterwards take a break by going to the AMC theater that is within walking distance. read more

I walk at this mall, like other mall walkers, but the mall is dirty. It smells stale & doesn't smell clean. I like to walk here, but I'd prefer it to be cleaner. read more
