This location has a clean new indoor ATM machine which makes it safer. Wait for it, that is not the best part. The BEST part about this indoor ATM is that it acts and looks like a HUGE iPad. This machine has many many more options than any of the other regular machines that I have encountered. You can pick your denomination, rather than getting all 20s. This small local bank operates in a way that places it's bankers' convenience ahead of the customer's convenience! As I said in my previous review: a small bank with a worse than big bank attitude!!!!!! Today, I went to the bank to get myself added as an authorized signatory on our club soccer team account. I walked into the office of Jessica Beck (when I asked to speak with her Manager, she said she is the Manager! Her card says Assistant Vice President) and provided the letter from our Club Treasurer and my driver's license for verification. She asked me if I had the phone number and email for another new authorized signatory (who was not with me), which I provided. Jessica then verified my info in the computer and confirmed they have me in the system but then asked me to come another day to sign the papers once they are ready. I said I will wait but she told me they can't do the paperwork now. She said it is their process that they need to call the other new signatory before they prepare the papers for signing, and do the paperwork one time. I asked if we have to be together when signing, and Jessica said no. Why, then, I asked, can she not do my paperwork now, and get my signature, so I can avoid another trip. She then said something about being short on staff and busy. There was literally one other customer in the bank who was being helped by another banker. She also refused to call the other new signatory while I was in the bank. Frustrating experience and time suck!! I ONLY come to Malaga (reluctantly) because it is the bank for a couple of voluntary school/sports organizations.

My parents and I all opened new checking accounts 7 months ago to take advantage of their banking promotion. I opened up my account online and got my cash bonus within 90 days per the terms of the offer. My parents opened up their accounts at the branch, and it is NOW OVER 200 DAYS AND THEY STILL HAVE NOT RECEIVED THEIR CASH BONUS. Repeated inquiries at the branch got them nowhere. They asked my parents to transfer money from their checking accounts to a CD and said the bonus would come, and still there is nothing. My father thinks the bank is shady and is taking advantage of old people who don't speak English that well. Either that, or the workers are incompetent, because they still can't figure out why the cash bonus money isn't there. Every month, my father goes into the branch to ask where his money is. And every month, they tell him they don't know why it's not there, and to please wait another month. This is ridiculous and poor customer service.

We went to the Torrance branch and they were unable to help us and told us to come back tomorrow morning. We went up to this PV location, and Ashley was super patient and helpful. She also explained that it's a time-consuming process which usually requires an appointment, she would help us with a few, and if there isn't a long line, she would help us more. It turned out, she helped us with all the transactions we had to do. I think she was very helpful, friendly, professional, and handled the situation so we did not feel rushed.

The business checking bonus incentive is being honored by F&M without further incident and the branch is making an effort to accommodate me. Review: I was a previous personal checking account holder and decided to come in for a new business checking account. F&M was running a $500 new business checking bonus offer. Since I never had business products/services from F&M, and wasn't an account holder, I was eligible. The banker I met with to open the account confirmed I qualified and asked for my standard business documentation including articles of incorporation, EIN, etc ... Things appeared to be going well. An hour later I was informed that I couldn't receive the bonus because I was a client of F&M! I explained that this decision was inconsistent with the advertised terms and conditions and I wasn't a client because I didn't have any accounts. I made a last ditch attempt to reason with them but was told I couldn't receive the checking bonus because I would be a signer on the account. The Rolling Hills Estates branch was unwilling to honor their advertised special and unprofessional in their business dealings.
