A friend suggested this small bank. Its part of a larger company, but when other banks are doing their best to close their branches and remove people to help, this particular branch is very customer centric. When inquiring about mortgage rates, they had a loan officer right there and I was sitting in her office within minutes. The service was remarkable! Very friendly and professional! Within 30 minutes she had me pre-approved and with a great rate. Once I chose the house, she had my paperwork ready and it was smooth sailing! Recently when I was looking to move my checking account and others, they were readily available to make the transfer easy and glitch free. This location is great. It has exit/entry by a light so it's easy to get in and out. I seem to…read morealways get the same teller. It's a good thing. She's sweet, fast and is always on point. Often I have the kids I nanny with me because they want to get a sucker, a "treat". That is weird to type out, but that's what we call them, suckers. Our teller is cool, she always picks out the kids favorite flavors for them :) There never seems to be a line here and if there is it goes quickly. This bank has difficulty remembering that without their customers they would not be in business…read more We have been with this bank for 25 years and through the years we have watched amazing managers and staff leave and be replaced by some very rude and arrogant people. They do not respect privacy by leaving office doors open allowing everyone to hear other customers business. We went to deposit a large closing check drawn on Truist into our account and withdraw funds. The response was, what are you going to use the money for, with a jack o lantern smirk. When we told him what we use the money for was none of his business, it put a bigger smirk on his face. He went into a big speech as to why they do it. Finally, I told him I have stage 4 cancer and if I wanted to give it all away it was none of their business. I was then told it would take 2 weeks to clear and 3 weeks to be able to draw from. When we told him it was unexceptable he said we would have better luck at Truist with a smirk. I asked him if he thought this was funny. Jason of the Oak Ridge office snickered. At that point, we decided to leave the arrogance and insulting abuse. We went to Truist, who treated us with the utmost respect. Our funds will be available in 2weeks. In conclusion, the Bank of Oak Ridge is a very small fish appearing to struggle in today's world. We have decided to move to a national bank.
