There is no doctor at First Keller Healthcare. Not figuratively--literally. The website shows a doctor with a grinning headshot, but that doctor does not exist in that building. Huan Nguyen, D.O. never appears at the Keller office. The staff confirmed this only after I insisted on scheduling with him directly. If you walk in and ask to see Dr. Nguyen, even for five seconds, you will discover the same thing: the "doctor's office" has no doctor. Bring friends. Make it a field trip. So what is there? An office manager (owner?) named Arturo, who behaves as though the basic duties of a clinic are personal inconveniences. In my case, he explained that they are very, very busy (unlike the rest of us, apparently) and that they "don't get paid to send referrals," as though referrals are favors rather than a basic component of patient care. In point of fact, their own nurse practitioner made the referral--which the staff then mishandled. Mistakes happen, but some mistakes actually need to be corrected. I had to return in person to make that clear. I'm sure it's a fantastic revenue-generating model: (1) acquire a doctor's name for the website; (2) rent an office and hire a few NPs; (3) market yourself as a physician-led clinic; (4) cash the insurance checks. Arturo is probably planning an early retirement. In Texas, this is perfectly legal. And it's a perfect snapshot of how broken healthcare has become here. read more

The providers here are great. I don't ever feel rushed through like I'm just a number in a quota. That's not to say they are perfect. There are small things that can be improved with the office staff, but overall I feel valued and well cared for here. They also speak many languages which is cool. read more

One star because I really was hopeful. They are thieves taking advantage of women. Highest rate for HRT in the area ($400 for a pellet, which coincidentally went up after my first visit) and they also charge your insurance ($150), essentially a double bill IMO. Most HRT doctors don't charge insurance when you are a cash pay, as in HRT, Botox etc.... The things that insurance don't cover. So while I did have an enjoyable experience with the actual HRT, I'm disappointed that I ended up feeling taken advantage of as a woman. Furthermore I was asked to find another HRT provider when I disagreed with their billing practices. Plus they would not release my HRT medical records to me, which I'm pretty sure is illegal. In fact, I have been told by another doctor that it's illegal to bill insurance with a self pay procedure. Be aware! read more

Everyone is honestly super friendly and awesome! From the manager, to the RNs to the doctor! They will answer any questions you have... Expect your typical dr office wait time but it's honestly worth it! I'm glad I found them! If I were to move an hour away, i'd continue to come to them! read more

Honestly, this is the most unprofessional healthcare office I've ever been to. You spend at least tan hour and a half there. only 10 to 15 minutes of that time is actually spent with the physician. The rest of the time you were either waiting outside in the waiting area or in the room, waiting for the physician to come in. The staff is so unprofessional they are very rude and hung up the phone multiple times when you tell them the truth. Will not be returning to this office ever again. read more

Our appointment is at 10:00 am, we arrived at 9:45 am, it is now 10:45 am and we are STILL waiting. The area is clean and receptionist is kind and friendly, but that doesn't really make up for the hour wait. There were maybe 4 people ahead of us. Why is it taking so long? When I went to get my blood work done I had to wait for 2 hours. The doctor does not even know her stuff nicely she won't answer your question fully. The front desk guy is very rude in person and even in the call. I called the office and he hung up on me without even letting me finish. Overall a 0 star!!! If you would like to see the providers advertised on the website, look elsewhere. If you want to fill out your own disability paperwork and pay whatever they want to charge you, this is the office for you. If you want to be overcharged, even after meeting your insurance deductible and out of pocket, this is the office for you. If you would like to call to speak to your doctor about the risks of opioid meds prescribed to you only to be told you can't and hung up on, this is the facility for you. If you would like to overpay for your healthcare and never be offered a proper receipt or invoice, this is the facility for you. If you would like your medical office manager to lie to your insurance about what the office charges you, this is the facility for you. If you would like to be told after seeing the same office for a back injury and excruciating ovarian pain that you are seeking disability for a "mental break", this is the facility for you. If you would like to try to reach your doctor for several weeks only to be dodged by the office manager, and to be finally told by another staff member weeks later that "she quit three weeks ago" and have to find a new provider to take over your care, prescriptions and disability paperwork with no notification from your doctors office, this is the facility for you. If you want to finally get a referral for a specialist who will take over for your PCP and as you leave, the office manager asks you "is it finally over? We're done?" In front of an entire office, this is definitely the facility for you. The nurses were kind, Dr Wilson was wonderful but no longer works here and Edgar was wonderful despite only helping out on Mondays. Otherwise, this PCP was an absolute nightmare and I will be reporting Arturo for inappropriate unkindness, attempting to collect copays that don't exist and unprofessional behavior. read more

Worst experience ever at this facility. Showed up with my daughter for her new pt apt this morning which we scheduled nearly a month in advance after both our Medicaid Case Manager and I verified they would take our insurances (as she has both Medicaid and private coverage). They were well aware of the coordinated benefits as both were disclosed while making the appointment with member ID numbers given for each. I am a provider as well; I took the day off seeing my own patients to bring my daughter to this apt today. We arrived, only to be told by Dr Nguyen himself that he would not see my daughter with her Medicaid but would see her and bill my private insurance and have me pay out of pocket the copay for this. Thats not how this works, her benefits are coordinated between the 2, I have been managing her healthcare and medical bills for 5 years now. She sees 4 specialists who all coordinate billing without issue. Had I wanted to pay out of pocket and not use her Medicaid insurance, I would have brought her to my own place of business and let my collogues manage her are whom would have treated us far better. It's interesting that on the phone you could manage her needs, with complexity of medical care that goes along with a quadriplegic but the moment my paralyzed daughter and I arrived in your clinic, and you saw us you suddenly had new policies about coordinating benefits that apparently didn't exist when we made the apt a few weeks ago. You had every opportunity to call us and discuss this in advance and allow us the opportunity to find another provider who could see us today, and not waste our time, or energy. And yet did not. Poor service, poor business management, a provider who makes the rules up as he goes as a way to refuse to see patients. I'm unimpressed. I would highly, highly recommend going elsewhere. Shady billing practices should not be tolerated and trying to convince Medicaid recipients to pay for services their insurance is there to cover is plain unethical! read more

Great staff. Don't feel like a number. My first visit I was greeted by the office manager, who asked how I was. Then I saw Dr Ndinda, she was great. After 2 other visits previously thru other medical providers, I was worn out from not feeling good. Also, took my daughter to this medical office and she was also pleased with treatment. I had my first appointment with Dr Martinez today. I LOVE this place. Arturo at the reception desk is so nice and welcomed me to "the family". Being a huge family person, this means so much to me. Dr Martinez was kind, patient, knowledgeable, and REALLY listened to me. He specializes in HRT. Being a woman with hormone issues is such a hard thing to deal with. He made me feel at ease, and have faith that he can help me. Winston did my bloodwork, and he was friendly and gentle. He's one of those people you just feel like you've known forever. I can't say enough good about them. I'm SO glad my sister referred me to them. read more

We recently adopted three children from foster care, and this is the only office in Keller that accepts their insurance. I was apprehensive about trying them out, but after our first visit we all felt really comfortable. The wait time is reasonable and front desk staff is very welcoming. I was very anxious about how the staff would do with our kids, but they couldn't have been kinder and gentler. Jackie, the FNP, is phenomenal. She's very warm, reassuring, and thorough. Although I'm sure she is busy, she made me feel that she had all the time in the world for us. Our kids, who are very fearful, responded really well to her. On our second visit, the office got all three of the kids in on the same day, and we were in and out in 90 minutes. I received a follow-up call within 24 hours letting us know that they had taken care of the needed referral. Highly recommend. read more

I LOVE this family practice. Doctor Phan is not only beautiful but amazing at what she does. I feel very inspired and I love coming here. I started coming here a few months ago and so far have been seen for acne, depression, general physical, blood work, important women's check up and the like as well as care after a bad car accident like chiropractic and pain management. This place was amazing! If you're looking for a Primary Care Provider or just trying to drop by for a visit, I highly recommend it! First of all, the staff is very friendly and helpful. It is rare that you find a PCP now days that will take time to listen and be attentive to the patient and yet still be timely, but I found that here. From the moment I walked in, to the time I checked out, everyone was exceptional. The place is new and clean, and has a lot of new interactive technology for the patients.
