I had the whole interior of my house painted as well as a built-in bookcase. Originally I was told it would take two days to paint the walls, then it was bumped to three after I added the bookcase (it's huge, so it made sense). After the first day of painting I was told it'd be done in two, but they probably should have used that third day. Some places look nice, but others definitely look rushed. There are places where you can see the paint dripped and dried with the dripping, some places I still see the original paint color, and they got paint all over my light fixtures and even some on the doors. The bookcase looks great, but I can no longer switch around the shelves to different levels because it looks like they put them back in wet, so when I remove a shelf, there's a nasty dark smear where the shelf meets the bookcase that's only hidden if the shelf remains in place. It felt like a rushed job and I was given five minutes to say if I was pleased with it or not. It wasn't until I was fully moved in that I began noticing all the poor work. Another complaint, I know they didn't use the paint color I gave them; they color matched it somewhere else and painted the cans so I wouldn't see the brand was wrong. read more

I had Jonh and his crew come out to paint builders grade oak cabinets I have at a corporate rental. Here's the most important thing with this painting company -- when it comes to painting kitchen cabinets, they use a top quality, oil primer first and then use a paint specifically manufactured for cabinets. This is not stuff you'd put on your walls. The result is that cabinets that have a visible grain (like oak), get filled in and smoothed out in a way you wouldn't get with traditional paint. It really makes a difference and it will really matter over time because it won't chip or scratch as easily. Jonh's guys are polite and do a great job. At the end, when they ask you to check everything, be sure you go over it with a fine tooth comb. You will find little places that might need a tiny touch up here and there. I don't think this is due to sloppy work, I just think that after spraying the inside and outside of cabinets for hours, you begin to lose sight of small imperfections. So, let them do their job and come in at the end to see what they might have missed with some fresh eyes. I thought their price was fair and they really transformed my kitchen. read more

Frankly, I'm not sure 5 stars are high enough when I review the entire experience. We needed a quick turnaround on painting new construction to accommodate our move. The wife wanted a different color so I contacted Jonh (yes, spelled correctly) and 3 other contractors for quotes. Ultimately we selected Jonh's team for professionalism, accessibility, attention to detail, customer care and really just a gut level feel after meeting Jonh. The quotes were coming in late Friday night and early Saturday morning from all contractors. Jonh stayed in touch throughout the weekend, started early Monday and completed our 2 story, ~3k square foot home by Tuesday evening. The quality of work is outstanding and the attention to detail is impeccable. We stayed through the set-up, prep and early painting stages of the project and were just knocked-out by the craftsmanship. Upon completion, Jonh didn't want any payment until I returned to approve the finished product several days later. Literally, the best customer service experience I've ever had. I contacted Jonh for a quote and he promptly responded the same day and was out the following morning and walked around our house with us talking about colors, etc. Within a day or so he emailed a quote to me and gave us the best quote and we arranged for him to do the job. He arrived on time on a Friday morning and he and his team got the entire house painted that day, which was very impressive, and came back on Saturday and finished the trim and detail work. They were very neat, covering my plants, taping up all the lighting and fixtures and being careful not to get paint on anything. When they were done we looked over the entire house at all the fine details, where the green and white trim met, and the lines were so clean, as was everything else they painted. We were very pleased with the immaculate job they did. Jonh also knows his stuff about colors and the details that bring out the best look for your house, he helped us with a lot of the details with the trim as to what would look good and we followed his advice and I'm glad we did because our house looks wonderful. Terrible service - We had first Painting do a couple jobs in the past and were quite satisfied. We recently hired them for an interior job and garage floor. Interior work was average at best. Some splatters, and over-paininting on the baseboards.Color seemed off, and realized they changed paint brands, based on availability. Could not produce the original color samples, and therefore we could not confirm the difference. The garage was a complete disaster. While John claimed to have done many garage floors, it was obviously not true. The paint started to peel within weeks of completion, and he would not answer calls or text messages. Left us completely hanging and the floor continues to peel in many spots. DO NOT HIRE. John assured me he had painted kitchen cabinets several times and this was very routine for his team. They missed a few spots and had to come back a week later. No problem. Then after a month the paint started to chip and discolor. Initially he said he'd come fix the issue, then after 3 weeks of pushing it back he just stopped responding. I had another company come look at the issue to get it fixed and they informed me they were terribly done. They used the cheapest (lowest quality) paint option available, didnt sand the cabinets down properly (so large areas of paint did not stick), did not paint the doors in climate controlled area (so there are streaks) and overall was very amateur! I'm sure he knows how to paint walls but John and his team have no experience with kitchen cabinets. DO NOT HIRE. read more
