The restaurant is beautiful, the service was warm and attentive, and every dish showcased just how incredible the seafood is. We started with the tuna crudo, which was incredibly fresh. We also shared the spicy ground shrimp over pasta, and it was unlike anything I've had before. Oddly enough, it reminded me of Cincinnati chili in the best possible way. rRch, comforting, and packed with flavor. For the main dish, we had the baked drum, which was cooked perfectly and served with stewed okra. The fish was outstanding, and the flavors throughout the dish were balanced and delicious. We also shared the grilled zucchini. It was a bit overcooked, which made it soft, but the flavor was still excellent. Overall, this was an exceptional dining experience from start to finish. Beautiful restaurant, outstanding service, and memorable food. I would absolutely come back the next time I'm in New Orleans and highly recommend it.

It's NOLA and there are obviously a plethora of restaurant options to choose from however, this place was outstanding. The service was good, the food took sometime to arrive. The interiors were classy with character. We got the oysters to start with, I got a Bloody Mary and some chicken skewers. I got the fish they recommended and my husband got the grilled shrimp. We finished it with the carrot toffee cake which kicked it out of the park! The oysters : 10/10, very fresh. The chicken: 10/10, perfectly cooked. The fish: 100/10! Definitely the star! Grilled shrimp: 9/10, slightly fishy. The carrot toffee cake: 1000000/10, I dream of this dessert. Can't wait to revisit.

Though pop-up showers were still lingering, my husband and I decided to take a gamble on courtyard dining--and I am so glad we did! Sheltered under the green umbrellas surrounded by historic brick walls, lush greenery, and rain-kissed citrus trees, the atmosphere was incredibly romantic and peaceful. The courtyard's intimate layout even brought a bit of extra magic to our evening. We sat near another wonderful couple (and their adorable daughter) and became fast friends, sharing laughs and conversation throughout the night. What truly anchored the experience, though, was the incredible service. The staff was remarkably personable, helpful, and welcoming. The dinner itself was excellent from start to finish, showcasing immense culinary skill across every dish. We started with the delicious brussels sprouts and a uniquely seasoned spring/summer gumbo that was unlike any version we've had before (oh, what I would give for the recipe). As for the entrées, the shrimp and grits were phenomenal, and the blackened catfish sandwich with a fresh salad was executed flawlessly...and the bread pudding was fantastic, too! It is rare to find an experience where top-tier hospitality, a breathtaking environment, and great food come together so (seemingly) effortlessly. Café Amélie is an absolute must-visit! We will be back.

Chicken was dry and waffels were meh. One person received his waffel and berries very late and only after we reminded the waitress. When it was presented it looked like his waffel had been sitting a while; it was also served on a plate and then a sheet of aluminum foil which teared up easily and made it difficult to eat. The service was below expectations. Overall experience: not recommending for brunch, not worth the money spent. There are plenty better places around. Surprising giving the many 4 and 5 star reviews for sbisa. I usually refrain from giving reviews like this, this was so below standard... I had to. Beautiful and historic restaurant...I just so happen to sit at the Ronald Reagan table! For starters the Gumbo Ya Ya and Bistro Caprese Salad...this is a great way to start your Brunch...with a Mimosa and Brandy Milk Punch. The Brandy Milk Punch is like a vanilla shake (melted). Sooooo good. Our server was exceptional and very helpful in recommending which dish to order if we were on the fence. For Brunch we ordered the Pork tenderloin, with two eggs and potatoes. The tenderloin was perfectly seasoned and prepared at the correct temperature...a must have. But even better was the Eggs Blackstone! Comes with a creole hollindandaise. A step up from the Eggs Benedict. For dessert...yes dessert, we had the best ever Pecan Pie with vanilla ice cream. Perfectly heated pie went well with the ice cream. Also the Lemon Ice Box Pie...a step up from key lime pie. This restaurant is one of those "must go to restaurants" down in the French Quarter.

It feels like they are trying to cram as many diners as possible into a space and this detracts from the atmosphere. The wait staff has difficulty maneuvering between the tables. The food has been dumbed down for tourist. The gumbo ya ya (missing okra) had a rich, dark color which seemed promising. Our waiter preemptively brought over Tabasco and Crystal Hot Sauce. Boy, did it need it. It also needed to have the chicken in smaller pieces. One would need to cut up the large hunks of chicken to properly eat it. The chicken was tough and added nothing. It should be smoked chicken. The sausage was mushy. Skip the gumbo. The crab cake was ok. The sauce with it was devoured of all flavor. They need to ramp it up! The petite salad even lacked flavor in the dressing. The truffle fries were good French fries. The pieces of garlic are nice. The massive shreds of cheese are unnecessary and add nothing to the fries other than color contrast. Ask for ketchup with them. The Barbecue Shrimp were normally a highlight. This time a disappointment. The butter sauce needed much more Worcestershire sauce and lemon. It had no spice. It feels as though Mr. B's is pandering to tourist on bus tours or cruise ship excursions. The food hints at cuisine that used to be great, but is only ok now. Will not be returning for a long time.

Did you know the chefs here occasionally travel the world for inspiration?…read more I knew this place was special when I broke a piece of their complimentary New Orleans style bread, biting into that crisp shell and into a heavenly pillow of softness. Wow, wish they made bread like this at home! By the way, I recommend making a reservation at OpenTable. They did have empty tables when I went in, but I assume they keep a few open for regulars and special guests. I went with their 80th anniversary $80 tasting menu for breakfast, and it worth absolutely worth it. Each dish comes paired with a drink, so there's big value here to justify the price tag. The service was outstanding as well. They started me off with a Brandy Milk Punch, which tasted kind of like an elevated eggnog. It paired with the Baked Apple. I'm not usually a big fan of apples in terms of texture, but they did it well and I liked how they stuffed the core with oatmeal. It's a nice half slice of baked apple in a tasty, brown sugar glaze. I went with the Seafood Gumbo because I didn't have the heart to eat a snapping turtle (I'm assuming), but people did say good things about it. It came with a Bloody Bull cocktail, a spin on a Bloody Mary. It wasn't my cup of tea, but I get the flavor profile and the spice pairs well with the gumbo. The soup really did help really kick things off and set the tone for the rest of the meal. I highly enjoyed their Egg Hussarde, which was invented here. I've had a lot of bennies, but this one is fantastic and paired well with the champagne. I also ordered my egg soft and it was poached perfectly! This is definitely an elevated version of Egg Benedict and I hope more places around the world adopts it! The Petit Filet Mignon had a cute presentation with their Potato Rosti and came sliced over a bed of garlic spinach and garlic demiglaze. Fantastic! The red wine 'Cuvee Vincent' Cotes du Rhone 2023 was very smooth, definitely was no $8 retail California table wine. If a dish could be a love letter, this was it. And the World Famous Bananas Foster? Magic! Love the presentation, love the story, and love the taste. You get a whole banana so the portion is good and the coffee helped cut through the sweetness. Vanilla ice cream gave it a nice, clean taste. No danger of a tourist trap here: all in all, Brennan's is absolutely worth the trip!

We made a reservation during restaurant week, which was a pretty decent deal- three courses for under $60. My friend and I were impressed with the service. The staff is amazing and so accommodating. Those warm biscuits were delicious but be careful not to eat too many before your meal is served. My friend and chose to do the restaurant special but order different things from the menu to share with eachother. We had the Sicilian Tuna meatballs and panko crusted calamari, the chicken cracklin crusted drum and sea scallop carbonara, pineapple upside down cake and bananas foster funnel cake. Everything was pretty good but I'll admit we didn't love the pineapple upside down cake. We ubered in order to avoid parking in the French Quarter. I can definitely see myself going back to try more of the menu.

She had made 8p…read morereservations weeks ago and good thing, they were completely booked and were advising walk-ins of the risky/long wait. We were seated within 5 minutes at a nice booth in this lowly-lit, expansive venue. Our waitress was Han - newer to Fins but a clear pro at waiting tables. Throughout our relaxing, indulgent stay Han sweetly flaunted a graceful alacrity that belied her late-20s youth. By night's end we had become so smitten by her we hailed the manager down to sing her praises (and dropped a little c-note on her tip line). Ambience is elegant with many folks dressed up in business casual and dresses. Waitstaff are monochromatically elegant and tables are all linen covered. After being assured that they weren't all "stuffing" or greasy, we began with the Louisiana Crawfish fritters ($14) and they were devine and as promised with a nice crunch and moist, minced crawfish-full insides. We also got the Fried Oysters ($16) and relished in their different (un-raw) presentation. We also ordered the Poached Pear salad ($14) at which point Han deftly asked if we'd like that split (yes please - see beautiful plating of that single salad for two)! For mains, she ordered the Sea Scallop Carbonara ($34) and I got the Local Black Drum (a uniquely gulf-sourced fish recommended by our Han). Scallops were deliciously tender but the tiny bits of swordfish bacon(?!) captured the prize for most intriguing twist. The Black Drum ($37) landed with the same homerun - large flakes of tender seared flesh, similar to red snapper (one of our favs) and thoughtfully accompanied by sauteed spinach, mash, and a chili hollandaise. We would definitely order the Black Drum again. For dessert we split the Chocolate Mousse Bombe ($12) and loved its dark ganache outside and rich, bitter and not-overly-sweet cakey/cream contents. Our 2+ hour stay was never rushed. As we left (after 10p) we observed that the establishment was still a solid 3/4 full. GW is located in the thick of Bourbon Street, several blocks of which were closed to traffic on this Sunday evening and protected by National Guard troops at various ends - a comforting if strange sight. Buskers were performing on every block and, yes, some drunkards stumbled about and the distinctive musky scent of MJ was thick. We walked the three blocks from our downtown hotel and felt safe. In case you're driving, GW was among the blocked streets on this non-special-event weekend. Had we not been within walking we'd probably Lyft/Uber to/from the venue. Ps, loved the front door signage politely declaring their dress code... primarily for the men :D
