(We couldn't afford a complete rebuild in any case.) Lifetime Chimney saved us! They completed some repairing so they could install a cover/ cap, and they pressure washed the chimney. Miguel did an excellent job and was very kind. When I first called in, I spoke with Brian who was incredibly helpful! I was worried when I called in, but Brian explained what they needed to do. He patiently gave me clear information. The chimney looks great and it makes the house look great. We're relieved to have it protected now. I would hire this company again!

They are experts in what they do and are trustworthy and fair. Their communication is also top notch, constantly communicating anything that comes up. They were timely, cleaned up, and the attention to detail was fantastic. We also had them install a chimney insert on the inside of the home which they helped us choose, schedule, and install. I highly recommend them, the before and after pictures speak for themselves. You can tell these guys care about what they do and it shows.

Dust and dirt was left in all of the areas where the ceiling vents were cleaned. Our dryer duct was completely crushed by the techs which causes a significant fire hazard. I know for a fact it wasn't crushed before they arrived because I specifically had sears come back and reinstall my dryer ducts after they installed it incorrectly the first go round. Initially they crushed it as well so I'm very particular about it. Also our ceiling vents were left half screwed in causing danger for myself and my family. I have a one year old baby. If one should fall it could of potentially hit him. Vent orientation was not taken into account leaving my husband to get the ladder out and reinstall them. We chose the Duct Guys because of their great reviews. Unfortunately we cannot add to their great legacy of reviews. My husband was left with a lot of rework and cleaning. I am glad my husband checked the service but disappointed he did so after he paid. Do yourself a favor and always double check the service before paying. We now have to also go buy a new dryer duct. I'm extremely disappointed after paying over $200 to have to spend additional money fixing areas left broken by Duct Guys techs.

Derrick immediately found a safety issue as no gas shut-off valve had ever been installed on it. I made a future appointment to install the valve and clean the fireplace. Derrick returned and performed the tasks to my satisfaction. I inquired about a new metal surround for the insert because the current one was make-shift and unattractive. Henry came out the same day and suggested that he could remake the current one into something better and less costly. And he did. I love the fireplace now, it works great, it is safe, and good as new. Derrick and Henry were both friendly, efficient, were patient with me, and took good care of my floors while performing the work.

We were so impressed with him last summer, that we had him take a look at the chimney at a rental property of ours after performing the other cleaning. We had received an expensive bid from a prominent Portland chimney servicing company that we were prepared to go through with, but we figured it was a good idea to get a second opinion. After looking at what needed to be done, David concluded that he was able to put a rain cap on our chimney without the pricey fitting the other company insisted was necessary. He also installed a much-needed damper in the chimney. I thought it might need to be cleaned since this is a 3200 sq ft house heated primarily with the fire place, but last summer he said that it would be a waste of money to clean it b/c it had only minimal build-up. So I had him come back this summer and was again really impressed with both him and his son. Such a great family-run business that I will continue to use and refer people to for years to come!

Never heard back any of the times I called. This tells me they just don't care much for thier clients. Even if they are not interested or are not able to do the work at the time, I expect a call back to explain. This lack of interest on their part is not only poor business practice, but poor manners as well. I've done many different types of work over the years, and I always valued my work and my customers enough to go out of my way to communicate with them, even if I was unable to help them out or provide what they needed.
