Very quick to respond. Michael was very professional and arrived on time as scheduled to repair our Samsung freezer.

He fixed the appliance, but grossly overcharged and refused to return text or phone call when asked…read moreto clarify/justify. Here's our experience: Called A-1 Appliance to come out and fix a leaky washing machine. Setup appt. Russ came, and all seemed good. Maybe it's 'years and years of experience' but what struck me as odd is he just visually inspected the washer and said it's the drain pump (he did a cycle but no taking off any parts of the machine). He then tried to convince us to buy a new washer. $95 for the service call and no actual inspection.....it felt really odd. We did ask for him to quote the fix though to have an option (fix or buy new). he said he would credit the $95 if we proceeded w a fix (reasonable, and I expected a service fee for his time to come out......although I go back to he didn't actually inspect anything). Days later he said $400 w labor for the fix. We did our research and decided since were were already $95 in and a new washer which then means a new matching dryer would be super costly (1k+) we said let's fix it. Russ called days later, said part is and we scheduled a time. Came into the house nice enough and said 'hope it's not something else once we get this part in'. I half jokingly said 'I sure hope not b/c we went forward with the fix based on your analysis during the 1st service call' (go back to him not inspecting it). Left Russ alone and he fixed it...at least as I'm writing this now he never actually ran the unit to my knowledge....guess i'll find out during that first load. The issue I have is w payment. He gave me the total bill amount I owed today. It was $400. I questioned him on this saying the $95 credit should come off and this is where it started. He said 'oh it was $500 and i'm giving your credit of $95'. We looked at text exchanges he had wiith my wife (she was working out of the home when this happened) and this was never said. I paid on CC. When he left I looked at the invoice $225 for the part (reasonable enough) $15 Tax (gotta pay tax man) $260 in labor. Say what????? We have cameras so I just had to check when he came/left. 1 hour!!!!! Note he told us his labor rate was $95, the cost of the service call (he charges 1 hour for the service call). TOTAL all In was $500 In total I feel he overcharged us by $160. If we add the part and tax and then include one hour of labor ,which would have been credited as we already paid it, We should have given him a payment today of $240.....yet I paid him $400. In short the labor wipes out from his service call credit and we should have paid the part and tax only. We called his office (wife answered, left this message in short and to call us). No response. We texted same night. No response. We always pay bills. We believe if you work, you get paid. I'm having an issue of gross over charge.

I just got off the phone with Russ, what an honest man, he just helped me to reset my control panel…read moreon my refrigerator over the phone when he could have charged me for a service call by coming over and doing it himself !
