Stopped by the green door on my lunch break from work and ended up staying here until the start of dinner. This recommendation from a friend who was local to the area was right on time. It was a warm welcome from the door to my table. Logan was right there to accompany me with water and a bright smile. Ended up having a great conversation with the table next to me and it reminded me to live in the moment. Great way to slow down my day and this food brought me the energy I needed to finish strong. The burger was delicious and I tasted the love in it. Even down to the fries and ranch. Always have a second stomach for desert and especially cause the whole atmosphere felt so homey. Would come back again with friends. I am a fan. Also ask Logan to sing something for you he might just bring out his guitar

Crawfish Étouffée and Meridian Shrimp

I had the Meridian Shrimp and the crawfish étouffée. Excellent!!! Etouffee spicy but not hot and the aioli sauce on the shrimp was so good. I also had a crown and Coke which was just right!! Definitely recommended. I hear their shrimp and grits are also great.

Boy, I wanted to like this place that was recommended to us by a local shop owner, but...... Service was spotty. I actually got up from the table to hunt down some salt, pepper and hot sauce. Food wasn't all that great. The flatbread pizza is like a cold cracker crust. The toppings are minimal, so it was more like eating a large dry cracker with a dab of goat cheese or mushroom here and there and dry arugula thrown on top. The fried green tomatoes had an old taste to them. The jambalaya and red beans were ok but, by far, not one of the best we've had. The restaurant was full of locals. If you go, skip these dishes and pick another option.

Passed by this place and we are not from here. Had the venison, Everglades crawfish, and filet mignon. Food was delicious and beautifully presented. Haylee, our server, was a gem! Great place and beautiful ambience.

We had our first visit during the downtown Christmas festival and had hour and a half wait when told it would be approximately 15 minutes. We both ordered the rice and beans and jambalaya but had to wait another hour to receive them once we finally got a table. We decided to try again two weeks later and called to make reservations. We all enjoyed the Cajun specialty meals again and highly recommend them! Also...try their Mac and cheese...amazing! Nice small town restaurant with helpful wait staff. We will definitely be back.

The food was spectacular. The fried gourd appetizer was indulgent. The portions on sandwiches were generous and the house-'are chips were delicious. The service was impeccable and the restaurant wasn't too loud, even at lunch time.

Always loved the green door in Dade city so when they opened closer to me I had to try it . The decor is very homey in a modern way . We were seated quickly and greeted by a great server . Beer and wine only but when they didn't have my favorite the server said we have one very similar and she was right I loved it . We came for a late lunch and hubby's burger was perfect in every way served with homemade potato chips. I had this wonderful turkey sandwich on ciabatta bread with bacon and avocado. Hostess came over to see if everything was to our liking our server was seating a table of 8-10 . Everything was perfect and the other big test was the restroom was immaculate. Great place with this comfortable yet modern vibe , great service and great food . Can't wait to go and see what dinner has to offer

Wedding rehearsal dinner venue

We booked here for my sister's rehearsal dinner and the food, service, and ambiance was fantastic. Open bar, extremely accommodating staff for guests with food restrictions (I saw a Ribeye steak dinner come out for a gentleman) and the food was very tasty as well. If I had to choose I would 100% go for the stuffed chicken and the stuffed jalapeño meatloaf. The evening was beautiful and I would definitely come back.

Triple chocolate cake....delicious!

Another great meal! Came here with my family. We made a reservation through OpenTable…read more I ordered the shrimp Alfredo, which was delicious! Came with a good amount of shrimp. Pasta and sauce were fresh and great! Not too thick or thin. Only request is to have another cheese option for the lobster grilled cheese. It comes with Havarti, which I have an allergic reaction to this cheese. But I think they said the only option was yellow cheddar and I opted for something else on the menu.

Good Lunch I was…read moreheaded to lunch around 11:30 AM at McDonald's when I noticed a Captain D's next door. I haven't dined at a Captain D's restaurant in more than 15 years, and I didn't know Captain D's restaurant chain was still open and operating. Although the building is old, it is well kept and the inside dining room was very clean. The service was prompt, fast and friendly. I ordered the 8 Piece Crispy Crunchy Shrimp & 2 Piece Fish (batter dipped filets) Meal served with hushpuppies, fires, and coleslaw. The portions are very generous, everything was hot, and cooked fresh. The white fish was very good, perfectly cooked, fried to a light crispy golden brown, with a tender, flaky inside texture. The batter did not overpower the flavor of the fish. The coleslaw was ok and paired well with the fish. The shrimps, which are also served with sweet and sour sauce for dipping, were mostly breading, bland, had no seasoning and lacked flavor, but it was what I was expecting from a chain restaurant serving previously frozen pre breaded (not fresh) and fried crispy shrimp. Overall, I enjoyed my dining experience at Captain D's and the food was good. Worth a return trip for the fish. Captain D's | Wednesday 03-11-26 13016 US Highway 301 | Dade City, FL 33525

Easy access to the restaurant from US-301, with dine-seating and drive through. We were last there for lunch on a Thursday and it was pretty quick. Especially so, they were friendly and patient in answering our questions, Planning to go back in a couple of days!

I was hoping this would be a nice local place to get a bite; unfortunately, it was not. Starting with, we stood at the door several minutes before anyone acknowledged us. There were maybe 4 occupied tables at the time (I say this because I am always looking at extenuating circumstances for a bad overall experience). Our fish sandwich and clam strips were overcooked, tasted like they were cooked in old oil. The clams were so hard they were left uneaten, by the time the server checked on us we just wanted to leave. Leaving was another issue, after 3 attempts to get the correct check (we did not ask to delete or change anything) we gave up and paid what appeared to be the closest. I think the final irk for me was there was only one server and when she got busy another person got up from hanging out at the bar and helped her only briefly then returned to their bar seat while the other server struggled. As a former restaurant person, I do not like people going from bar patron to food server; it's just bad management. If you want beer and a pool table, then it may be your place; but I would skip the food.
