I really like this place. The food has always been spectacular. The Millionare Bacon special they currently have on menu, is a must for me every time. We experienced First Watch For the First Time The Weekend prior to their grand opening it was part of their friends and family event. How I would describe this restaurant is a combination of a mom-and-pop breakfast lunch and dinner restaurant with a mixture of Cracker Barrel the ambience is so soothing and very welcoming. My son and I enjoyed the millionaires bacon along with the pear juice and the kale juice my son and up having the egg Skillet and I had the chickechanga we then shared the biscuits and gravy everything was devoured mouth-watering and enjoyed to the last bite. The service was impeccable Management on top of things the kitchen was not loud even though it's in an opened area. Our server followed up with us continuously making sure that we were satisfied with our food. When asking for water you are not just poured a glass of water water is delivered to you in a separate container. The plating of the food was perfect the portion size was good and my son and I took a lot of pictures and both being in the food industry that says a lot. I would highly recommend this location and it is worth the wait should you ever have one. read more

This area just started adding restaurants four to five years ago but First Watch is the only sit down breakfast location in the immediate vicinity. While visiting during opening week, the staff definitely seemed ready and anxious to welcome in new Guests. Granted, minor bumps may be expected in the first couple week but if I didn't know it was brand new I probably wouldn't have known the difference! I ordered the cinnamon chip pancakes and they were delicious! My friend ordered the special cinnamon roll waffles and she let me try a bite. Both items were very good. The restaurant itself has a very modern, hip feel. I liked the tall community table which is perfect for single diners. I am excited to go back and try some lunch items! read more

Just ate at First Watch at 8280 ChampionsGate. I wouldn't go back! After waiting for an hour (I get it...it's a busy location), we waiting another hour for our food to come out. Except we only got 3 of our 9 meals. The remaining meals didn't come out until the first three meals were already eaten. Not the fault of the wait staff...the kitchen is in very poor shape! There are plenty of breakfast restaurants near this location...I strongly suggest you pick another unless you have several hours to kill! read more

We went to First Watch on a friend's recommendation. It was our first visit. The wait was reasonable, the waitress was friendly and helpful, and the service was quick. My wife ordered the Mexican eggs (heuvas rancheros?) and I ordered the steel-cut oatmeal. My wife enjoyed her eggs and was please with the appearance, texture and flavor. My oatmeal was a disappointment however. The oatmeal was lumpy, very thin and watery. Not what I expected at all. It was almost bland in flavor. Wait wasn't too bad for a table (30 minutes) but the service at the table was horrible, had to ask multiple times for water, half of our food was wrong and the server didn't seem to care, she brought the completely wrong dish and then insisted that was what we had ordered, big difference between a frittata and soup. This a three strikes and you're out for me on this place. I walked out of this restaurant today. I was a server for 15 years, so please know I don't take this lightly. I have NEVER done this before and never intend to again. In previous visits we got cold food, a burnt pancake on one side they tried to turn over and hide, and long waits for our food, but we could at least say the servers were kind and kept the coffee flowing. Our server today barely acknowledged us, brought a half carafe of Luke warm coffee, and then proceeded to ignore our table for over an hour. My husband and I were trying to treat a friend to brunch for her birthday, and we had an extremely well behaved toddler with us. Went to First Watch for brunch for the first time, last Wednesday, got greeted by a woman in a black polo. She appeared to not like her job. Once I was sat i was greeted quickly, she took my order and was very polite. I waited quite a while for my food, my server checked back and was apologetic about the time it was taking. Since I was sitting close to the kitchen, I could hear the lady in the polo yelling about how long the food was taking. She didnt seem to help in any way. However when my food did arrive it was delicious. Personally if I could have rated a zero that would have definitely rated them a zero. When you check in you should be given an accurate wait time. I get it that you can't make guests get up but lets face it you have been in business long enough to know your average wait time based on the business in the past. All that is one thing but to have the face of your restaurant a gentleman with an inappropriate attitude that is another. I let my friends address him until I finally talked to him or shall I say attempted to due to (with an unprofessional attitude) kept over talking me with out listening with me finally saying "can I please speak?" After waiting over 90 minutes there were still 8 parties ahead. So I will never go there again, I will go to any other establishment before giving them any business and for sure I will tell everyone I know. Hmmm, this is a hard review to write, because I used to LOVE First Watch, and hadn't been in many years, but this visit was such a disappointment. Perhaps it was just this little cation, though I'm not sure if the quality has gone down. First off, I ordered an egg white omelet off the healthier menu. They should have mentioned that by healthier, they mean small... usually their omelettes are too big to finish and are great for sharing. This one was tiny, with very little filling inside, and the same price as the large ones... I'm all about healthy, but there are easy ways to make something healthy and give a decent portion size. It came with a cup of fruit that looked (and tasted) like it was cut up about a week ago. Not very appealing. My husband ordered the protein pancakes, and asked for the almond butter on the side. The pancakes were fine - nothing special - but weren't very big like the normal FW pancakes. They should have mentioned this on the menu, as they say they are the normal FW pancakes with seeds and cottage cheese added to the batter, so we expected the normal size. The almond butter tasted awful - really inedible and very processed in flavor and texture - and nothing like almond butter. It looked pretty unappealing too - see attached pic! I took my mother to this location last month for a nice brunch. We don't have many brunch options in Davenport and usually have to drive into Orlando so for us the location is ideal. I have heard great things about the sand laje location so was eager to try this. Oh how disappointing it was. We were seated promptly so that was a plus. The server was double sat and seemed to take his frustration on us. I ordered a coffee as well and my mother. It arrived but no cream or sugar was provided. We had to track it down. The experience went down from there. My egg sandwich while tasty was served with burnt potatoes. Not the type you could eat around. They were inedible. No server checked back for 20 minutes. By this time we needed our check. He did not offer to replace the potatoes and barely blurted an apology. Its sad because this is the oerfect location. My girlfriends and i try to brunch twice a month. We won't choose this location. read more

First watch is usually our favorite breakfast place and we've never had a bad experience at several different locations but this was terrible. We knew a Sunday morning would be a long wait and we didn't mind but after 45 minutes just to get a table the rest of the experience should've gone smoothly but it didn't. Once our server brought out drinks and took orders we did not see her again for at least 20-25 minutes, she never stopped by to say anything about our food or refill drinks. Finally my friend got up with his empty glass and walked towards the kitchen. Then our server came over with his drink and apologized for the wait but by now it's going on 30 minutes. Our food came out shortly after that. My grits and my potatoes were not hot but waiting that long and being very hungry I ate most of it. My bacodo omelet wasn't that great either. We never even saw anyone resembling a manager , plenty of servers but no sense of urgency with any of them. The server checked maybe one more time and then was very quick to bring checks. Of course they can do that fast because they want to get paid but the server even messed up one of the checks and had to redo that. Meanwhile we hear other servers making excuses to other tables that they are backed up with Togo orders and that a cook quit. Customers in person that have waited 45 minutes just for a table should take priority!! I managed a restaurant for 10 yrs, you should never make excuses, instead find solutions to the problem and keep customers happy. Where was management!?!? This was the first time for some friends that were with us trying first watch and they will never go back to one after this experience. And I will never go back to this location in "Champions Gate". Pretty place and nice atmosphere. The food was tasty, a good amount and a fair price (probably better when you consider all the attraction prices). My wife mentioned she had celiac and the waiter jumped right in with what had gluten (she didn't say the g-word). We felt like they take allergies fairly seriously. Honestly, my boyfriend and I were extremely disappointed. To start, our server came over instantly the second we sat down and kept pushing us to order our food and drinks right away before we even got to look at the menu. She never introduced herself (we only found out her name was Amina from the receipt at the end) or asked us how our morning was going. When our food was brought out, it was very cold and honestly a little bland (we ordered the breakfast tacos, the works omelet, and the million dollar bacon). We never heard from a single employee until they ever so quickly dropped the receipt off at our table. Our server never asked how our food was or anything. We were incredibly disappointed in the food and service here, especially because they weren't busy at the time either and we could see some employees socializing amongst each other rather than with guests. I've been here one time and definitely recommend going here. I will be back eventually when I have time and money but it was worth the little bit a drive and it's affordable and very big portions a well. Service was so-so, we feel that our food was left to cool before being delivered by someone other than our server. As soon as our plates were delivered, my wife complained that the potatoes were cold and the over medium eggs were over hard. We waited - no one came. Finally, my wife got up to try and find our server or a manager. Yes, they finally replaced her meal. The new eggs were now undercooked but no more complaints.
