ACCEPTABLE is the best rating I can give First Watch. We have been many times to locations in Hyde Park, Kenwood, downtown Cincinnati and Kettering. The food is generally just fine, the service is friendly and the fare is what you would expect. I think the lunch items tend to be a bit better than the breakfast offerings but that's just my opinion. Turkey club is pretty good. I have yet to find a "signature" item that I enjoy ordering here. Most recently I had a steak and potato hash that was very lean on the meat but tasted fine. The new updated decor is very Farm to table fresh and cute. Much better than the tired 90s strip mall diner feel prior to the makeover. My kids enjoy the pumpkin pancakes in the fall - but say that the ones we make at home are much better. read more

I think this place is pretty great for being a chain. The food is consistent as is the service. Everyone is very friendly even though they are usually very busy. Weekends you can expect to wait 15-20 min for a table. They do provide you with coffee while you wait which is a really nice touch. I really like that they have a "healthy"menu but be aware of hidden calories and fat. I can assure you that one of their giant muffins definitely is NOT low cal. Their granola has a massive amount of fat in it too. All are delicious nonetheless. This is a great place for a quick breakfast. Always good. Always friendly. Shoot man, I'm not normally big on chain brunches, because there are so many good, local places to visit, that also make you feel like a hip local. But they get everything right. The atmosphere is varied and interesting, service is always good, and the sausage breakfast skillet makes my mouth water just to think of it. Reasonable price too. read more

First Watch is a real treat on early Sunday mornings (when you beat the church crowd)! Their menu offers many options, including vegetarian omelets and lighter breakfast and lunch options, which are clearly noted as such on the menu. I recommend the Cranberry Nut Oatmeal. It's served with a side of brown sugar and cream so that you can add as much or little as you please. The Joaquin Yahoo omelet is delicious, as well. My only complaint is their change in coffee--the former coffee was much better, in my opinion. The staff is friendly and attentive and I've never felt rushed during my working lunches. read more

We are big breakfast people. So we have a few places we make the rounds on weekends, and I have very definite views on Bob Evans sausage gravy that could come to blows of you don't agree it's simply the best. We're old fat people who think running is something you only do when trying to get away from serial killers , so normally First Watch is not on our main morning circuit. I think mostly because it feels too... Healthy? They have a smoothie menu on a chalkboard. Things have kale or fruit as sides. Quinoa makes an appearance often, as does avocado. They have breakfast salad! Okay, that might be actually from the brunch/lunch menu. But being they only operate through lunch hours, I'm going to ask for the court to accept it on principle. Everything we've had it good, maybe a bit shy on portions for Midwestern bellies. but regardless, Sometimes we mix it up and have a go on the healthy side. We don't feel like we belong here however, because we just like gravy... On everything. read more

We absolutely love first watch. My fiance and I (and our 10 month old daughter) go at least twice a week. Food is always fresh and delicious, same with the coffee. The service is always wonderful, they truly make you feel like family. This is the most perfect breakfast spot in beavercreek Ohio. There is a chain of them but I have only eaten at one location. So delish ...it is my go to very often. They also have specialty drinks with kale and pomegranate etc. They have bottomless coffee through your meal and coffee while you wait for you table. Every dish is yummy! Go try it out! read more

really amazing food for reasonable prices. Was traveling and found this place on yelp. Had the caps ETC. The pancakes are as big as your head so when you order one pancake know that it will come bigger than the plate. My husband had the fresh squeezed orange juice and said it was amazing. After trying during a Saturday morning to get in at crowded IHOP, we decided to try a different local place. So we popped in First Watch, and were seated in under 10 minutes. The staff was very friendly, and service was great. The food was fabulous!!! I'm used to Bob Evans/IHOP and this food seems higher quality and tastes better. I got Floridian French Toast, and was shocked at how much fruit was topped on it. Very few places use that much, so I was very pleased. The natural preserve was delicious, and had multiple berries in it. I would be back here in a heartbeat. read more

This is one of the best places for breakfast. They have a variety of foods and they arent the typical everyday meals. Prices are a little higher but the friendly staff and good service make it a joy every time I bring my family for breakfast. It's always a top choice and the wait list feature really helps since we dont have to wait as long at the actual restaurant with the kids. read more

This place has its stuff together. Not only is the food great but the service is as well. We went for mothers day brunch, understanding upfront that the wait would be longer than usual, and the waitress allowed us to put in a quick-order so that when we finally were seated our orders were already put into the kitchen. I had the banana granola pancakes and was impressed with how packed they made the batter. It was so full of flavor that I didn't even need syrup. A definite must if you are searching for a new spot for Sunday brunch. read more

This place is popping on weekend mornings. I've never had to wait for a table, but I've never gone with a large group before. The service is a little slow, probably due to the crowds. I recall wanting more coffee and not being able to flag down the waitress. All this aside, the Bacado omelet is really good. In fact, it's delicious. The bacon is seasoned well, thick, and crisp; and the avocado in the omelet is a nice twist. I have no hard feelings with towards the wait-staff and think I've pretty much just talked myself into going there again soon. read more

Worth the wait,it's busy on this Saturday morning but when you get your food the drooling will stop and your stomach will thank you! Order the chorizo, and 3 stack pancakes! We met a number of different people while waiting and that was a great experience as well, as we are not from here and stick out like a sore thumb, people were giving us the heads up on what to order and we listened , this is the best breakfast place in Fairborn, and it looks like the kitchen is busy but honestly the turn around is pretty quick and they let u pre order( while your waiting to be seated, then put the order in as soon as you sit down) great atmosphere great service and of course the food. read more

Litteraly nothing on the menu under $10. I ordered scrambled eggs with cheese, bacon and a pancake. Bacon and pancake was ok, eggs were over cooked. I sent them back and asked for new eggs, this time the bottom of the eggs were over cooked with under cooked eggs on top...just lazy. Cooking eggs isn't hard in the first place and this is litteraly your job...come on guys. read more

Was on a business trip here for the week. 3 of my 3 lunches I ate here!!! OMG...this place is awesome. It's rare you find a place with FRESH and delicious food. Had the Monterey Jack Sandwich and clam chowder first day, French toast and bacon second, and chickachanga the third. All three meals did not disappoint. There is a First Watch on the west side of St Louis, but none on the Illinois side. O'fallon, IL is in sore need of a First Watch. (Hint hint) Finally, I want to give a shout out to the wait staff. Watching them all three days, these ladies are totally awesome and work their proverbial bottoms off. A very well oiled machine. The family met up here this morning for brunch; still a wait for a table on Sundays, but 10 minutes or so wasn't too hateful. I had banana-strawberry crepes that come with a small cup of granola, strawberry yogurt and an enormous blueberry muffin that will be enjoyed tomorrow morning. Came in at 1p on a Sat and was immediately greeted and seated. Very friendly vibe to the place, and appeared to be very clean. Our server was very knowledgable about the menu, especially since we had some allergy questions. I had the Monterey sandwich with butternut squash soup, wifey had the fig and prosciutto toast, and the little guy had the half waffle. Good came out very quickly and we enjoyed everything. I saw a sign in St. Louis saying they had the breakfast, but haven't had a chance to try it since now. We walked in and everyone was super friendly. We were seated right away. Our good also came out quickly. The iced coffee was great, too much ice, but all places do that. I had the fruit crepes, a little dry, but I ordered it off the healthy conscious menu, so should have known. The lemon poppy seed muffin was fabulous though. My husband had the killer Cajun with avocado, it was super good. My little ones shared a chocolate chip pancake, so obviously no complaints there. The OJ wasn't impressive although it said fresh squeezed. Overall, great vibe and good food, I'll definitely be back, even if it's in St. Louis and way better than The Egg and I! read more
