For Father's Day we went to lunch at First Watch. I have heard good things about it, but perhaps it was how busy it was for the holiday that I wasn't impressed with the food. I wanted eggs sunny side up, but, they said they can't crack eggs so I could get scrambled or poached eggs. I got the poached, however only one of the eggs had some runny yolk, the other was a solid yolk. The potatoes were half undercooked, but the ones that were cooked through were good. The toast was good, but also was not toasted enough. I guess they were trying to get more people in and out quickly so compromised the doneness and quality. The coffee was good. We had an appetizer of the million dollar bacon which was also good. I will probably try again on a day that isn't so chaotic busy for them since things will probably be better then

I've been to many first watch locations and this one put up a fight for the number one spot! Customer service was amazing and our waitress was so sweet and made us feel welcome , checked on us when needed and gave us time to order because we were chatty patties lol, the food was good and thank you to the chef for not over cooking the potatoes , they were chefs kiss, food was hott and very good and the place was so clean as if I cleaned it myself. Even the restrooms, I walked in and immediately felt comfortable handling my business. The self seating area at this location is the best I've seen so far . Keep up the great work ! When I'm in the area I am definitely going back!

I've been to other First Watch locations and was glad to see they opened a location in Falls Church. It's in the former Whole Foods shopping center and there's plenty of parking so that's always a plus. The staff was very friendly and seemed well-organized even though they're a new location. We received our food quickly, our orders were correct, and they offered us coffee refills. The coffee is tasty, but they somewhat oddly only serve it with room temperature pre-packaged hazelnut or vanilla creamer. Not sure if they have fresh or packaged half and half since I was fine with vanilla, but I'll have to ask next time. I'd recommend they add half and half as an option and offer all the creamers chilled in addition to room temperature. The food was the usual First Watch fare served hot and fresh. The blueberry pancake (yes one since it's the size of the plate and don't get two unless you're truly starving) was as tasty as ever and the bacon and was cooked just right. I did notice this location is nosier than some other ones, maybe due to the high ceilings but it's not a dealbreaker. Prices are a little higher than some other breakfast places but it seems like everything has gone up lately. You can pay your bill on your phone instead of waiting for the cashier so that's a plus when they're busy. This place is a welcome addition to Falls Church and I'll be back again.

We like this location and the food. However I asked for hot tea and was told the Rituals tea was the only black tea they now offer. The tea bag sat in the hot water for 15 minutes and never steeped. They then brought out an English breakfast. The servers are all very nice and some recognize us from previous visits and come over and speak to us.

First time, not the last time. Cheaper & more food than Panera & Silver Diner. Very busy on a Sunday morning. With parties more than 2, prepare to wait. They do have free coffee for you while you wait! They need A LOT of help on the biscuits! First, there needs to be more butter on inside of the biscuit and melted butter to finish it on the outside. Second and IMPORTANTLY, never cut the biscuit in half & toast it! Awful! How can I judge the moistness & fluffiness of the inside of the biscuit? Also, the whipped butter needs some salt. Eggs were cooked nice and fluffy. Meat was good. Smoked ham had right amount of salt. Same with pork link sausages. The potatoes were the highlight. Seasoned perfectly with right amount of textures (firm to crispy/crunchy) & the carmelized onions! Cholula hot sauce & their own ketchup are good. $3.99 for large carafe of tasty Columbia coffee. Not GREAT Ethiopian coffee, but still good. Service is corteous and prompt. Team atmosphere. Fair prices. About $30 for 2 people plus coffee before tip. Very fair. Again, the biscuits need A LOT of help! Dinged a star for the sad & bad execution of the biscuit.

This is my first time trying this particular First Watch in Falls Church. I enjoyed it. The service was great. And the food was absolutely delicious.

Great meal at this brand new First Watch. Great service, great food and the new refreshed look is incredible!

This is the first time I've visited First Watch, and I look forward to visiting the location that recently opened in Asheville, NC. We enjoyed an exceptional Avocado Toast for an appetizer, then I ordered the Healthy Turkey for a light lunch while my husband ordered The Works. We were both delighted by the side of strawberry jam, they offer a truly an excellent menu! Our server (and the bartender), Michelle treated us to complementary shots of the Kale Tonic, which we'll add to the next order. Every staff member was pleasant and offered a genuine smile.

I think this location is new, but been to plenty of other locations before. This is the first one I've been to with a bar. Located in a strip mall shopping center so plenty of parking. This place is super packed so be sure to call ahead. Food is wonderful as usual and the service is always excellent!

Went here for breakfast on a Sunday. It was not too crowded and we were able to sit right away. By the time we left, the restaurant was completely full. They have a large menu with lots of healthy options (gluten free toast option was a plus). The power wrap was delicious as well as the blueberry pancake. Very nice and attentive waitress. Would definitely come back!

Calling ahead on weekends definitely helps. However, as with all first watches, there's free coffee while you wait. The food is always excellent and the staff are even kinder. I got the wrap which was amazing. Would definitely be back!

This is a new location that is struggling a bit to get the kinks out towards a smooth operation. There was considerable confusion with getting seated so we opted to sit at the counter. Also, confusion there with people who sat after us getting served first. Then receiving cold food and not being served at the same time and missing menu items. After all of that, the staff was pleasant and apologetic. I may try it again sometimes if in the area and would hope that they get it right by then.

First things first, parking. The stores have a parking garage that requires you to pay within 15-20 minutes I believe. I met a friend at another restaurant that validated but even if they didn't. Prices were pretty reasonable. When I first entered, the place was bright, clean, pretty immaculate. Everyone was either working or conversing with friends at various tables. In line with a cafe vibe. It was my first time there so I wasn't aware that you can simply order at the kiosks by the entrance. But the server was very friendly and was happy to provide input on the menu. But since I wanted to peruse the menu a bit more, I figured the kiosk was the best way to check out other items on the menu besides the sandwich that I knew I wanted. I ordered the hibiscus lemonade and the bulgogi egg sandwich to go. The sandwich was flavorful, the eggs were fluffy, the bread was soft and the sauce brought everything together. I could see why it was one of their best selling items. The hibiscus lemonade was delicious as well, though I'm interested in trying other drinks on the menu such as their smoothies. All in all I would definitely return and probably end up getting the same sandwich.

They have a breakfast/brunch menu, a daytime/lunch menu, and an evening menu and you can watch them preparing items in the kitchen. The bear claw was large and tasty with an enjoyable cinnamon flavor and the lemon meringue croissant was unique and enjoyable as I'd never had a croissant with lemon meringue filing. They weren't cheap but they were tasty and enjoyable. I did want to mention they have parking but it's hit or miss on getting a spot since it can get crowded so walking might be easiest if you live nearby. I really wanted to love this place…read more My family and I chose to come here for Easter because it's dog-friendly -- which felt like the perfect combination for us. They even have a dog menu, and the patio setup is honestly beautiful. The ambiance is warm, inviting, and aesthetically on point. The staff greets you right away, and first impressions were genuinely great. We chose to sit outside on the balcony so my puppy could join us, and that space alone is worth noting -- fire pits going, cozy atmosphere, just really well done. Unfortunately, everything went downhill from there. We ordered food for all of us, including my daughter and my puppy. My food and my puppy's food came out fairly quickly, but my daughter's meal never arrived. After waiting quite a while, I had to flag down the waiter, only to be told -- after the fact -- that they didn't even have what she ordered. At no point before that did anyone communicate this. So now she has to reorder, and we're waiting all over again while the rest of us are already eating. When her food finally arrives, there's no silverware. Just... dropped off with no thought to the fact that she actually needed utensils to eat. We also ordered lemonade, which was great -- but when the waiter offered to bring more after the issues, it never came. To try and make up for things, they brought out a dessert that looked beautiful, but when we asked what was in it (due to food sensitivities), the waiter had no idea. He eventually came back with an allergy sheet, which felt like an afterthought rather than informed service. At that point, I asked to speak with a manager. Instead, the waiter told me, "I just got out of trouble -- what can I do to make this right?" That response alone was incredibly off-putting and unprofessional. We ultimately just had my daughter's meal removed from the bill and decided to move on. Even my puppy's waffles -- which was one of the things we were most excited about -- came out slightly burnt. Overall, the lack of communication, poor follow-through, and disorganized service completely overshadowed what could have been a great experience. It's disappointing because the space and concept have so much potential. Unfortunately, I can't overlook the service issues.

The order was confirmed by email three days before the event, yet the cake was not available at the time of the party. We received no advance notice, no explanation, and no phone call from the bakery. Instead of enjoying a once-in-a-lifetime milestone, we spent much of the party dealing with stress and confusion. The missing cake was obvious to guests and took away from the entire event. An Uber driver eventually arrived after the party had already ended, with a dummy cake and a sheet cake, and appeared to have very little information about the order. That moment summed up the experience -- disorganized and poorly handled. What made this even more frustrating was the lack of follow-up. Despite repeated attempts to get clarity, no one from management reached out to apologize, explain what happened, or issue some sort of refund. In our opinion, this reflects extremely poor communication and professionalism, especially for a custom, time-sensitive order tied to an important family event. A first birthday cannot be redone. After more than 15 years as loyal customers, this experience was deeply disappointing and the breaking point.
