The coffee drink with Run. So good!
    Kaylyn D.

I hate to base my rating of this establishment on the actions of one terrible server. Me and my sisters decided to stop by First Watch for lunch before going to Tysons for some last minute Christmas shopping. When we entered the restaurant, I said good afternoon with a smile to Jae 3 entire times and she refused to greet me. She simply said "for how many?" Every party after us was greeted by her and asked if they would like drinks. After sitting and eating, we were given our check that we NEVER asked for. She never asked if we were done, etc. we really wanted to try a dessert and planned to order but she just brought us the check... she attempted to pick up our plates which my sister had a whole plate of food.. My sister was obviously not done. she really made us feel unwelcome and rushed. Will not be returning to this location. We generally love First Watch and this is our first bad experience and our first time at this location. Food was good, I got the carne asade tacos. drinks were good, the establishment is clean and so were the restrooms. The place is well kept. Unfortunately, we got the short end of the stick regarding service this day.

This place was delicious!! I will say, make a reservation if you can on the weekends as they get really busy. We got the strawberry French toast which was delicious. The chimichurri hash was also amazing. It didn't look like a lot of food but it is definitely filling. I also got the caramel crunch latte. Their coffees and juices are delicious. The juices I believe are freshly pressed in-house as well. I highly recommend this place for a quick brunch!

For Father's Day we went to lunch at First Watch. I have heard good things about it, but perhaps it was how busy it was for the holiday that I wasn't impressed with the food. I wanted eggs sunny side up, but, they said they can't crack eggs so I could get scrambled or poached eggs. I got the poached, however only one of the eggs had some runny yolk, the other was a solid yolk. The potatoes were half undercooked, but the ones that were cooked through were good. The toast was good, but also was not toasted enough. I guess they were trying to get more people in and out quickly so compromised the doneness and quality. The coffee was good. We had an appetizer of the million dollar bacon which was also good. I will probably try again on a day that isn't so chaotic busy for them since things will probably be better then

I've been to other First Watch locations and was glad to see they opened a location in Falls Church. It's in the former Whole Foods shopping center and there's plenty of parking so that's always a plus. The staff was very friendly and seemed well-organized even though they're a new location. We received our food quickly, our orders were correct, and they offered us coffee refills. The coffee is tasty, but they somewhat oddly only serve it with room temperature pre-packaged hazelnut or vanilla creamer. Not sure if they have fresh or packaged half and half since I was fine with vanilla, but I'll have to ask next time. I'd recommend they add half and half as an option and offer all the creamers chilled in addition to room temperature. The food was the usual First Watch fare served hot and fresh. The blueberry pancake (yes one since it's the size of the plate and don't get two unless you're truly starving) was as tasty as ever and the bacon and was cooked just right. I did notice this location is nosier than some other ones, maybe due to the high ceilings but it's not a dealbreaker. Prices are a little higher than some other breakfast places but it seems like everything has gone up lately. You can pay your bill on your phone instead of waiting for the cashier so that's a plus when they're busy. This place is a welcome addition to Falls Church and I'll be back again.

I've been to many first watch locations and this one put up a fight for the number one spot! Customer service was amazing and our waitress was so sweet and made us feel welcome , checked on us when needed and gave us time to order because we were chatty patties lol, the food was good and thank you to the chef for not over cooking the potatoes , they were chefs kiss, food was hott and very good and the place was so clean as if I cleaned it myself. Even the restrooms, I walked in and immediately felt comfortable handling my business. The self seating area at this location is the best I've seen so far . Keep up the great work ! When I'm in the area I am definitely going back!

Classic with biscuit & pork sausages

First time, not the last time. Cheaper & more food than Panera & Silver Diner. Very busy on a Sunday morning. With parties more than 2, prepare to wait. They do have free coffee for you while you wait! They need A LOT of help on the biscuits! First, there needs to be more butter on inside of the biscuit and melted butter to finish it on the outside. Second and IMPORTANTLY, never cut the biscuit in half & toast it! Awful! How can I judge the moistness & fluffiness of the inside of the biscuit? Also, the whipped butter needs some salt. Eggs were cooked nice and fluffy. Meat was good. Smoked ham had right amount of salt. Same with pork link sausages. The potatoes were the highlight. Seasoned perfectly with right amount of textures (firm to crispy/crunchy) & the carmelized onions! Cholula hot sauce & their own ketchup are good. $3.99 for large carafe of tasty Columbia coffee. Not GREAT Ethiopian coffee, but still good. Service is corteous and prompt. Team atmosphere. Fair prices. About $30 for 2 people plus coffee before tip. Very fair. Again, the biscuits need A LOT of help! Dinged a star for the sad & bad execution of the biscuit.

This is my first time trying this particular First Watch in Falls Church. I enjoyed it. The service was great. And the food was absolutely delicious.

We like this location and the food. However I asked for hot tea and was told the Rituals tea was the only black tea they now offer. The tea bag sat in the hot water for 15 minutes and never steeped. They then brought out an English breakfast. The servers are all very nice and some recognize us from previous visits and come over and speak to us.

This is the first time I've visited First Watch, and I look forward to visiting the location that recently opened in Asheville, NC. We enjoyed an exceptional Avocado Toast for an appetizer, then I ordered the Healthy Turkey for a light lunch while my husband ordered The Works. We were both delighted by the side of strawberry jam, they offer a truly an excellent menu! Our server (and the bartender), Michelle treated us to complementary shots of the Kale Tonic, which we'll add to the next order. Every staff member was pleasant and offered a genuine smile.

Great meal at this brand new First Watch. Great service, great food and the new refreshed look is incredible!

I think this location is new, but been to plenty of other locations before. This is the first one I've been to with a bar. Located in a strip mall shopping center so plenty of parking. This place is super packed so be sure to call ahead. Food is wonderful as usual and the service is always excellent!

    Jennifer A.

Went here for breakfast on a Sunday. It was not too crowded and we were able to sit right away. By the time we left, the restaurant was completely full. They have a large menu with lots of healthy options (gluten free toast option was a plus). The power wrap was delicious as well as the blueberry pancake. Very nice and attentive waitress. Would definitely come back!

    Yan W.

Calling ahead on weekends definitely helps. However, as with all first watches, there's free coffee while you wait. The food is always excellent and the staff are even kinder. I got the wrap which was amazing. Would definitely be back!

Delivery review ahead…read more I was craving a really good breakfast sandwich and this place delivered just that! When I talk about quality sandwiches, Semicolon cafe wins! The packaging was handled with care so both of my sandwiches arrived nice and hot. I ordered the B.E.L.T and a grilled cheese. The B.E.L.T was a conversation starter, the bread was buttery and smooth-melts right in your mouth after each bite. The egg with corn, never tried that combo but honey, it was fantastic!!!! The bacon was quite generous and prepared with the perfect crisp and the lettuce and tomatoes were fresh, complementing the sandwich. The sauce on top was a shining star! So much flavor spread evenly throughout the sandwich. My boyfriend loved his grilled cheese sandwich which came with bacon and spinach. Definitely glad that I found this place! Since we were back in the area for a DMV for a brief visit we knew exactly where we were stopping before heading to the airport. Hubs ordered his usual sausage, egg and cheese sandwich , and I ordered the bacon egg and cheese breakfast sandwich along with an iced mocha. I had completely forgotten they have a Starbucks on-site with a limited menu. Of course, I couldn't leave without grabbing a cookie and a chocolate croissant for later. The food arrived fresh, hot, and exactly as expected. The staff is always friendly and personable. You see professionals, students and the locals coming in and out, but there is seating available. Conversations are at a minimum and despite the attached restaurant you can still hear yourself and the other person without yelling. One thing I appreciate about Best Buns is the consistency. Whether it's been months or years between visits, the quality never seems to change. The sandwiches are flavorful, the ingredients taste fresh, and nothing feels like it was sitting around waiting to be reheated. Everything is prepared to order, and you can taste the difference. My sandwich disappeared one bite at a time, and Hubs completely demolished his croissant sandwich without hesitation. That's usually all the confirmation I need. Some restaurants are good. Some are memorable, but there are the places that become part of your routine whenever you're back in town. Best Buns has earned that status for us. Five stars earned! Consistently fresh. Consistently delicious. We'll be dropping in on another turn and burn later this month...

The Pink Drink with housemade syrup, coconut milk and strawberries was refreshing and tasty. It was my pick from the Strawberry Lemonade and Dragon fruit Lemonade. The Lemonades were a bit too sweet. I ordered the food to dine in and it was packaged to go. I wish the food could be prepared for dining in. It's a pet peeve of mine to see all of the grease oozing out of fries in a brown bag. The bear claw was large and tasty with an enjoyable cinnamon flavor and the lemon meringue croissant was unique and enjoyable as I'd never had a croissant with lemon meringue filing. They even have a dog menu, and the patio setup is honestly beautiful. The ambiance is warm, inviting, and aesthetically on point. The staff greets you right away, and first impressions were genuinely great. We chose to sit outside on the balcony so my puppy could join us, and that space alone is worth noting -- fire pits going, cozy atmosphere, just really well done. Unfortunately, everything went downhill from there. We ordered food for all of us, including my daughter and my puppy. My food and my puppy's food came out fairly quickly, but my daughter's meal never arrived. After waiting quite a while, I had to flag down the waiter, only to be told -- after the fact -- that they didn't even have what she ordered. At no point before that did anyone communicate this. So now she has to reorder, and we're waiting all over again while the rest of us are already eating. When her food finally arrives, there's no silverware. Just... dropped off with no thought to the fact that she actually needed utensils to eat. We also ordered lemonade, which was great -- but when the waiter offered to bring more after the issues, it never came. To try and make up for things, they brought out a dessert that looked beautiful, but when we asked what was in it (due to food sensitivities), the waiter had no idea. He eventually came back with an allergy sheet, which felt like an afterthought rather than informed service. At that point, I asked to speak with a manager. Instead, the waiter told me, "I just got out of trouble -- what can I do to make this right?" That response alone was incredibly off-putting and unprofessional. We ultimately just had my daughter's meal removed from the bill and decided to move on. Even my puppy's waffles -- which was one of the things we were most excited about -- came out slightly burnt. Overall, the lack of communication, poor follow-through, and disorganized service completely overshadowed what could have been a great experience. It's disappointing because the space and concept have so much potential. Unfortunately, I can't overlook the service issues.

What an absolutely delightful spot!…read more My daughter picked this place for us to gather after her high school graduation. I've never been here, and got concerned when I quickly checked out Yelp. Not for their rating, but from what I saw (quickly), it might not have been able to accommodate the eight of us. However, they accepted my reservation, and I figured they knew what they were doing. Turns out, They do. In addition to a downstairs with an outdoor patio and cozy indoor tables, they also have an UPSTAIRS area that was perfect for our group. In fact, large enough for more people or other groups. We had it all to ourselves, though, and that was probably best for everyone. Their menu is mostly two food groups, Galettes (actually galette bretonne) and Crepes. A Galette is a usually savory buckwheat-based crepe. A crepe is a dessert and is always delicious. And, speaking of delicious, I ordered their Galette Complete, and it was all that. In fact, it took me back to the first meal I had when I was last in Paris. But, I digress... The food is delicious, there's off-street parking behind their (pink) building, and... the food is delicious. It's good enough that I'll make a point of going back.

It has cottage vibes and a lot of seating. But don't be fooled! It was busy even on a random weekday morning. The coffee was excellent. The crepe was tasty as well. Even though we added milk chocolate, it still wasn't too sweet. Will definitely be back for a savory crepe! PS They have cocktails!
