It's been quite a few years since a very meh experience, so when my husband suggested it today, I thought, 'okay, let's give them another try.' (I didn't remind him that my experience last time was subpar.) All that to say, we went in with open hearts and minds - and hungry bellies. Took a while to get our drinks, but the coffee was good once it arrived. Did have to ask for cream, which again l, took a little while to receive. Our orders were taken and after a while our food arrived. I found it pretty funny that my Make Your Mark breakfast, in which you get to choose the style of egg and the meat, contained the wrong meat. Clearly you don't really have any say in the matter. The sausage patties that I had ordered were not there. Instead, I noticed after the servers had delivered the food, there was bacon on my plate and no sausages. Not a big deal, but we did have breakfast for dinner one night last week, including bacon, so I had really wanted those sausage patties! However, it really wasn't worth flagging down our server who seemed non-existent once the food was delivered and I tucked in. Everything was fine, though I find it really odd that they don't season their eggs or hash browns at all. Unlike during COVID, thankfully, they do have salt and pepper on the table now. My husband began eating his sausage gravy biscuits and made a disgusted face. His gravy was barely warm. Isn't that odd? Wouldn't you think it came from a bubbling vat of hot gravy, poured over oven hot biscuits? He's rarely one to notice anything worth complaining about, but this put him over. He flagged down our waitress when he saw her next and asked if she could heat it up. She said she would just ask for a new plate to be made. Fine, though we knew that would take a while. He finally received it after our son and I were both finished our meals. No problem, I drank my coffee and we chatted while he ate. The only problem, was that it seemed to be the same temperature as the previous plate. Clearly, they are keeping the gravy barely warm. (Health safety?!) To top it all off, when we finally got the bill, which took asking for, they had put two meals of the sausage gravy biscuits. Now my husband had to complain again to get one of them removed. So, you leave feeling like you are the bad guy or the grumpy patron and it sours the whole experience. I am certain we will not return. Oh well, hopefully you have a better experience - twice is enough for us, though. read more

We had a hard time finding parking in mosaic due to the farmers market. Our friends were already at the location and told the hostess we'd be there soon. They bumped our reservation and said they'd give the next table available. That took 90 mins. All the while we asked how long it would be and they kept saying 10 mins.. We could've gone to another establishment had we known. There were about 30 other people waiting for tables who were in similar situations. Had reservations but tables weren't leaving and the staff didn't want to rush those sitting and relaxing after paying the bill. Get it. Obviously it's a problem and they haven't figured a way to deal with it. We asked for the manager as we had kids and we were only 5 mins late and not given proper wait times . The manager has no business being the service industry. He said he was getting the table ready, though that were told that 20 mins prior. When we told him, heyelled at us and said he will deny us a table and will cancel our reservation. It was threatening and the whole place stared at his shocked at his response. For the sake of hungry kids we kept our cool, ate, and swore we'd never go back again. The food was good. The servers were nice. What horrible treatment by the manager who could've handle this so much better. Why would we want to support such a businesses that tolerates this behavior. Not going back. Not sure what's going on, this used to be our little brunch spot but both the back and front of the house are seriously below par now. Mind you, this also rings true for the Ted's location in OneLoudoun. My husband and I always got the same thing: steak and eggs, confit shiitake hash, a side of French toast to share. The last few times have just been too awful to come back, service-wise. These last two visits at Mosaic, one during the farmers market and the other on a random non-busy weekday morning, service has been out the window. I had to stop the server to get a drink refill, I had to stop the server just to take our order, I had to stop the server to get the check. Never checking in, and twice my husband had to go find the server because we hadn't seen him in over 20 minutes. Besides the service, they got rid of the hash (which was fine, things drop from menus) and the hanger steak has been swapped with something tough, chewy and dry af. It tastes like London broil. The frisée is never dressed anymore, and it's always a toss up if whether the eggs are actually gently poached like we ask, or hard boiled. The last visit was the nail in the coffin, though. We waited over an hour for our side of French toast to appear, even yes, grabbing the server after almost finishing our steak and eggs and reminding him, "hey, our meal isn't complete. Where's our side of French toast?" He looked at our table dumbfounded, then said, "right, right! You ordered French toast." Well, 20 minutes later still no French toast, we were done eating, and we hadn't seen him again. So my husband grabbed another server and asked if we could just get the check. About 10 minutes later our server comes with a plate of French toast, no check. We tell him, no, we've been here for about an hour and a half by now and we needed to go. Came for lunch about a year ago, so some details may have changed but wanted to share my experience. We were seated and received our orders within 10-15 minutes. The interior is clean with tables suitable for a more intimate 2-person meal or for larger parties. Ordered the mustard sesame crusted tuna and cherry blossom cake. Was pretty disappointed in both. The tuna was strangely too sweet which threw off the taste of the rest of the dish. The seasoning completely covered any natural flavor of the fish; the dish was otherwise comprised of plain rice and raw/lightly cooked veg. The presentation of the cake was a bit shocking. A large slab of white sheet cake that looked to be doused in neon pink syrup that tasted of sugar and not much else. I heard they have some good house-made poptarts here. Would maybe try that in the future, but would not recommend for lunch/dinner with the quality of food and price points. read more

I tried something new on the menu. The Turkish eggs. It blew my mind. The poached Eggs were cooked perfectly, and the eclectic flavors melded perfectly. It also looked amazing. The bar cocktails were excellent. Where things fell short was the reservation process. We made a reservation in advance specifically to avoid a wait, but still ended up standing in the lobby for over 20 minutes past our scheduled time. I also got there 10min early. The host stand seemed overwhelmed, and people walking up appeared to have a shorter wait. It was really annoying. That location has a lot of foot traffic, so people came in waves. I really try to avoid leaving one-star reviews, but they got five, yes FIVE things wrong, which made for an awful experience. (1) First it wasn't a good sign that my wife ordered sausage and got bacon. (2) Then they asked if I wanted Chohula or Tabasco, I said Tabasco but they brought Chohula. (3) When I took a bite of my biscuits and gravy it was cold! (4) So then they brought me a replacement that still wasn't warm! I lost my appetite at this point. I arrived at Ted's on a late Monday morning to eat with a large wedding party. I'd accidently gone to the Fairfax Ted's so I was well behind the rest of the party. I settled in at an empty table once it was bussed. I was provided a menu and shortly thereafter the waiter brought over water. I ended up ordering a coffee and the steak and eggs. The coffee came out shortly but no spoon. Had to use my knife to stir. This was not an auspicious start. However, the steak and eggs made up for it. Went there on Easter and ordered from the all-day breakfast menu. The food was of good quality. The salad was great with a rich taste and the green freshness in your mouth. The toasts and eggs were decent. The blueberry cheesecake tart was a surprise. The service was very good. No awkward checking-ins and just the right amount of conversation. The environment was great. We were sitting outside and the weather was nice. The restaurant event had an Easter bunny hanging out with kids; it was awesome. Will come back soon. read more

Always saw this place for along time but never tried until now! So glad this place a try. The Loaded Tots were delicious. Unique as it's not your typical round shape, instead it was cubed and the cheese was delicious. The chicken for the Chicken and Waffles were well seasoned. I enjoyed the butter that came with it as well. I was satisfied with the service. Luckily the wait was nice long and our service did a wonderful job to check in occasionally. Made sure we had everything and refilled drinks before we asked. Interior of this spot was creative and well made. Relatively clean and warm lighting. I haven't been here in a few years so I thought I would give it another try. My memory was that the whole experience was quite average. And guess what? Things have not really changed. The mood quickly started in the wrong direction with the hosting staff. You could tell they were not happy to be there. After we were seated, it took quite a while before a server came to greet us. And even after taking our order, our server was not very attentive. Then the food. We ordered a few breakfast items. I went for a breakfast sandwich. It was good, but a bit overpriced. Stopped into Ted's after a nightshift with some coworkers and we were pleasantly surprised to see they had hospital happy hour from 7-8:30am for us night shifters! It was very clean inside with an upscale diner feel. We were sat immediately at a booth and service was great and fast! The bathrooms are located in the back and were clean as well. The restaurant is right in the square by a bunch of other restaurants and shops. Super easy to find in parking and a great spot to people watch as well. I appreciated the full bar being open at 7am as you don't find that everywhere. The food here is all day American, there is something for everyone. My meal was delicious and our food came out hot and ready within 10 minutes of ordering. They have a sizable drink menu with boozy milkshakes too! This is a great spot to get brunch at, modern American cuisine and right in the heart of mosaic. read more

Ted's Bulletin deserves its 3-star rating. It's an acceptable chain restaurant with a menu to please everybody, but it's nothing special, and the line cooks here do not prepare the dishes consistently properly. On our most recent visit, what would've been a nice entree salad was drowning in about 5x the proper amount of dressing. I should've sent it back, but we were in a rush. I prefer a salad too be tossed, but lesson learned: next time no dressing (or on the side). The "tuna bowl" similarly comes drowned in a cloying, thick "garlic" sauce that tastes like it came from a jar. Do yourself a favor and leave that off, too. The tuna underneath is cold, but the quality is fine and it warms up after sitting on its bed of white rice. read more

They have breakfast/brunch food here all day everyday!!!! Huevos ranchero with three eggs is quite delicious here. It has spicy aoili oil drizzled on top with spicy sausage and bits of cheese. Really flavorful. The spicy pineapple margarita is good with tajin rim. The white Russian shake is pretty good. The chocolate cake is huge and rich and delicious. Good amount to share. Ted tart is super sweet. The breakfast burrito is pretty good if you add extra meat. Get the steak and eggs! One of the BEST steak and eggs for brunch in Nova. My absolute favorite! It is delicious with the chimichurri sauce drizzled on top and the demi glace with it makes everything come together really nicely. The sauce with the steak gives it a nice slightly tangy taste which works really nicely with the steak. It comes with a small portion of Dijon frisse salad which is also tangy and delicious.Their breakfast potatoes are seasoned well with garlic and are delicious as well. You can try the TUBS Ted's ultimate breakfast Sammy, It comes with bacon, sausage and scrambled eggs and egg over medium on top with cheddar cheese and toast. Really tasty sandwich served with hash browns. Highly recommend if are in mood for a sandwich. From the dinner menu the pot roast is tender, moist and delicious. Highly recommend! The overnight oatmeal quinoa is a very light option. It is pretty tasty with bits of fresh mint sprinkled on top and berries and a couple pieces of walnuts. This is an option if you don't feel like having anything greasy. The cold brew martini is excellent as well, probably one of the best espresso martini I have had! read more

I could only eat a bit more than half. Def a good amount of dressing. I also tried the pumpkin spice matcha (so good). Their Mac and cheese is just okay and doesn't taste as good leftover. There's something cozy about Ted's Bulletin...not sure if it's the pop tarts or that we always sit at the same spot. I've been to this location for happy hours as well just afternoon drinks. Each time, the service was exceptional, and they are very accommodating. They have a variety of food available throughout the day, as well as breakfast all day. I personally prefer to order sides and/or the pop tart. The macaroni & cheese and brussel sprouts are perfect side dishes alone or with drinks. I order a pop tart every time I come here, I've tried the cinnamon one and the strawberry one. My most recent visit was for afternoon drinks on a Saturday. I ordered the Jalapeño margarita and pop tart (toasted) and both were just perfect. My friends ordered the Aperol Spritz and regular margarita. When we arrived, it was empty, but was filling up slowly, which was fine because we were sitting there catching. We were all satisfied with the drinks and the service. I've been to Ted's Bulletin several times and various locations over the years. Decided to come here for brunch and we sat by the counter near the kitchen. This is the third time I've visited within the past 6 months that I've received disorganized service. I am sort of surprised actually. Recently for brunch, it took an exceptional amount of time for someone to come up and take our order while staff memebers walked pass us repeatedly. We were just about to leave. One person from our group said, I guess they don't want our money!? I said, let's just get out of here and go to Panera. As we were at this decision making point, our waiter arrived. But prior to their arrival, we watched so many staff people walk by us, we felt invisible or not be taken care of. (-1 star) Our Waiter was very pleasant and had a very nice demeanor. He took our order and we did not see him for quite some time after that. Our food was delivered by someone else, but an item was missing, and they replaced it. Then I noticed the sausage was not quite browned on both sides. Just browned on one side. I mentioned this and they fixed it. Same for the hashbrowns and toast. Everything was browned on the surface side, as though they did not flip to brown the other side. I thought that was a bizarre and sort of lazy cooking method. (-1 star) I asked for a peach pop- tart, per the waiter's recommendation becaue they said it was in-season. I had it wrapped to go. When got home later, I took a bite and it was chocolate! No big deal, I took his recommendation and it was not what I agreed to and I was already home so could not go back. (-1 star) A lot of different people stopped by for the water, food drop-off to the table, and we paid the waiter, but we were wondering where he was and a different person came back with the payment card and check to sign. It was a chaotic dining experience. Food was delish. I wish I saw more of our waiter, he was quite nice and pleasant, however the entire experience was sorta all over the place. The other time I came here with a friend for the homemade pop-tarts and we stood at the counter waiting to be helped while the staff hung out in the front to the side conversing and laughing amongst themselves. Again, staff people walking back and forth, too busy to pay attention to us paying patrons. I'm conflicted because I like Teds a lot because of the delicious comfort food they serve and the great portion sizes, however after several less than satisfactory dining experiences, I just don't see the value in returning. If I do, it will be just to sit at the bar for a cocktail, but not for a complete dining experience. read more

I've been to other Ted's Bulletin locations around the area. Although I can't say the food offerings are a novelty, it's a decent brunch spot that serves diner fare. I'm happy to say that the service (shoutout to Andre!) was great on the day we went. Our server was very friendly and checked in on us several times. We had two orders that we were going to share between two people, and the staff split the original dish onto 2 plates for us which I found helpful and efficient! And the portions were generous. Even eating just the half portion of the Pancakes Stack dish (half portion was 2 pancakes, 1 scrambled egg, half portion of hash browns) was very filling. I ordered a caramel latte and that was delish as well. The food was a great value considering the price to portion and good quality. The Ted's Tarts were good - some better than others (I prefer the fruit ones like the strawberry to the Cinnamon and the seasonal Roasted Pecan tarts we tried). This location is large and on a Saturday morning we took our time/ didn't feel rushed even when it started getting more crowded. Overall a good experience! read more

We tried the limoncello drop, the blueberry mule and the berry bourbon smash. The blueberry mule was our favorite one, it was fruity and tasted similar to juice. The limoncello was a bit too sweet for our liking and the berry bourbon smash is quite strong. Our favorites were the loaded tots, some of my friends preferred for them to be more sturdy, I thought they were just fine. The calamari was nicely breaded and the were not rubbery. My friend got the chicken tenders and fries from the kids menu and our server was nice enough to give it to her. The server was also very attentive to our large party and accommodated our party nicely. Location was convenient and the vibe is diner-esque but more formal. Every time I go to Ted's Bulletin, I'm so content with what I order! In the past I've gotten the pancakes and the breakfast burrito, but today was all about the huevos rancheros and it was absolutely delicious. I feel like I haven't had a better version of this dish and it was just great. And obviously you have to get a Ted Tart (the sole reason I want to go most times haha). We got the classic strawberry and the special Apple Ted Tart. Both of which were delicious and warmed. I could eat ten of these, feel bad about it, but then be happy again because they're just so tasty. My mom and dad got the sausage gravy plate and the make your mark (you can choose what you want). They also upgraded to the tater tots (DON'T SLEEP ON THESE THEY ARE SPECTACULAR!). The service was great and our server was quite attentive but not overbearing. He gave nice suggestions and was happy to help out. The atmosphere was really fun and the place was packed. We tried to make a reservation but it didn't pan out so we walked in and got sat in fifteen minutes. Which we were grateful for--it's always worth the wait. I'm going to be honest that we have never gone here for dinner, but every time we get brunch or breakfast, it is always consistently good.
