We stopped by First Watch in Fayetteville for breakfast. The seasonal chipotle steak/queso hash was out of this world. It is very rare that I do not have to add salt/pepper to a meal at a restaurant. My meal was seasoned perfectly and the steak was cooked to perfection - not chewy AT ALL!! And I don't usually like steak, but wanted to try it anyway and I'm so glad I did! My boyfriend got the "The Works" omelet which he enjoyed, but he says he wish he would've ordered what I got, lol! It was so good! Our server was so kind and attentive. Love the food, favorite brunch place but today had a rough experience the waiter told us 45 min wait for food we said no worries and when ordering food we asked for more water- the waiter told us he already gave us one extra and then proceeded to be rude about the wait time. Multiple short passive aggressive in counters and then said he has seen multiple types of people today. I appreciated some sort of apology but didn't enjoy be scolded about water. The other waiters were very nice and came and noticed when drinks were running low. Great place great people just had a really bad experience with one single staffer. Looking back I wish we would have just asked for a different waiter the first time an encounter occurred and recommend that for anyone else because they are normally all great! read more

Such a nice place for brunch! I always enjoy the food and the service is usually good too. My only issue is the consistency, almost everytime there is something missing from our order. Today I had the choose 2 lunch with soup and the pecan salad. It was all delicious but the salad was missing the avocado and bread. Also I wish they would add a make your own breakfast option. My husband wanted a banana Pancake but didn't want eggs or meat with it just fruit. So he had to order a single pancake and a large fruit which ordered separately was $12. The drinks and coffee are great. They offer a free bogo meal on your bday. Kids meals are a little small but ok. Wish they offered soup, salad, and better variety for kids. The girls bathroom could use some repairs. There was an actual hole in the wall (!) Of the handicap stall and the latch on the door was hanging off. Here's a tip - they have a bar top that's open seating/first come first serve so that's a great option if there is a long wait! The food across locations is consistent (and delicious). I love that they choose local. Their juices are ALL so good! If you've never tried them, ask and they will bring you samples. Their iced coffees are more like desserts, you have been warned. The only thing that could be better is their milk/creamer selection for their black coffee. read more

I did see other severs hustling about taking good care of their tables. Towards the end she perked up and did good. My food arrived lukewarm, my wife's pancake was cold. They made the pancake again for her. I ate mine as I was very hungry after a fast for a medical test. I ordered million dollar bacon that did not arrive until I was well into my meal. Today I dined alone. I asked the waiter what his favorite menu item was and he told me the biscuits and gravy with eggs and potatoes. Let me tell you, I may have just produced some gravy in my pants eating this!! My food allergies have always been accommodated here. My meals always seemed to been made fresh. I feel comfortable bringing guests here and even some casual business meetings (though it very noisy). This chain is highly popular in Phoenix and this location in Fayetteville is also (nearly always) packed. Today's server was Marla. She was pleasant and gracious. Went for brunch and I think they had just opened. The staff was very welcoming and most of them were cleaning which is always good because it means their kitchen is probably really clean too. Eggs were decent, yolk wasn't runny how I typically like it but nonetheless it was alright. The chicken sausage patty was a bit sweet and different. Potatoes just weren't all the way cooked (which I've had First Watch a dozen times) and know this typically isn't the way it is. The bread and jam was the best part of it. That was super good. I sat at the bar, service was quick and easy even on a Saturday morning. A bit skeptical if the orange juice is actually cold squeezed because I did see at the bar they use Hiland orange juice however didn't see them pour my orange juice haha. That being said First Watch is great to take the family out too and I know they have several great meals to offer and it's a nice establishment. This is my very favorite Brunch location in NW AR and Maryville, TN. I love love love their steal cut oat mill with strawberries, nuts, banana and brown sugar! And for additional thumbs up, you can choose a muffin to go with it. I love their flavored creamers on the table and because they bring out the entire coffee pot for your convenience. I don't go often, but I have never been disappointed in my food. I've enjoyed Eggs Benedict, several omelettes, plain old breakfast, mostly savory. I can't comment on French Toast or pancakes, sorry! Their whole grain toast is wonderful however. Service is good, sometimes great; occasionally unreliable but always adequate. It's the only possible negative about the whole experience. I find the seating very comfortable and the acoustics are bright but not too noisy for conversation, at least most of the time; weekend brunch tends to be 'festive'. I love first watch. It feels local, service staff is friendly, and the food is just so dang good. I have been three or four times so far and I have yet to have anything bad. I've also been able to taste friends' food while there and everything they ordered was also delicious. The lemon dressed greens is the only item I've had that I wasn't a huge fan of. It was too acidic in my opinion and needed an oil to balance it out. Otherwise, highly highly recommend. read more

To start off, they could not even give us an estimated wait time...rather just the number of parties in front of us and that it was "moving fast." Around 40 minutes later we finally got seated. Received drinks in a timely manner and ordered our food. From that point we never saw our server again. After asking multiple times for extra napkins and refills, we never received it. Finally the food came out EVERYTHING WAS BURNT! I actually cannot believe they had the audacity to serve the sausage shown below to me. It broke it half with ease and literally was burnt to a crisp. Others pancakes were burnt as well. Overall food was extremely subpar and service was lacking. Look elsewhere for your Sunday morning brunch spot! read more
