We had waffle with eggs, sausage, and strawberries and the meat scramble. Eggs were a little overcooked but had an off putting flavor due to the oil they were fried in. Syrup was very bland - not a maple flavor. The strawberry jam was very runny more like a sauce. The meat scramble was very dry with eggs overcooked. The biscuit was good. I'm not a fan of the coffee but onyx coffee lovers may enjoy it. read more

We were visiting from out of state and along our drive my wife saw the Buttered Biscuit and said let's eat there. We were very happy that we did. The environment is clean and vibrant. We ordered the Chicken Tender Meal and the Acai Bowl. Both delicious and fresh. Oh, and the biscuit was delicious along with the lemon lavender butter. We were in town to visit our daughter and took her out for breakfast. We went early around 7:30 and there was no wait at all but quickly got busy after a bit. I had one of their speciality lattes and it was delicious! Can't wait to have it again with honey and cinnamon. I decided to try the breakfast burrito with chili verde and was giant! Very good and stuffed to the brim. Service was friendly and helpful. Only thing I would recommend is water at the table. Great local Arkansas spot for breakfast! So popped into the Buttered Biscuit for a late breakfast after an early business meeting. Ordered the meat lovers scramble - the scramble! Got my eggs over easy. The eggs were cooked perfectly and the ham, bacon, and sausage were great. The flavors mixed well and I tried to lick the bowl. Luckily I had a biscuit so ordered a side of gravy and man I really enjoyed the gravy. I make a great sausage gravy and this gravy rivaled mine. The restaurant is very cute. I like bright, country charm feel. We ordered lemon curd beignets to share. The strawberries on this dish were so good. Overall, really good flavor and nice flavor combo . I wish the beignets were a little more airy and the lemon were a little more pronounced. My 12yo and I shared the kickin chicken with sauce on the side, which he said is just Tabasco (slightly disappointed). The waffle was nice. The chicken was cooked well, but a little over seasoned for me (very peppery). Eggs were meh. This dish was a 3/5 for me. Husband was happy to have a choice of a double expresso and then ordered biscuits with gravy meal. The eggs were cooked exactly how he asked (sunny side up), biscuit was good, and gravy was good. Context is everything, and I think the temperature ruined our experience. This morning, it was 61 degrees in the restaurant. Staff said it was set to 80 but no one could make it work. Everyone in the restaurant were wearing coats- including the staff. It meant we weren't happy sitting there, and when the food came, the biscuit was so cool it wouldn't melt butter. Most everything seems cooked to order, yet it was cool on the plate. Did I mention it was cold in the building? We might go again. But it's unlikely. read more

Ok, this place was recommended so I popped in to check out the Winchester. It looked great. It tasted great. But, the gravy wasn't hot. It was almost room temp. I was so bummed. I would have given this 5 stars and said this was the best chicken and biscuit and gravy I've had, BUT, they missed when the chicken and biscuit was covered with cool gravy. Sad and disappointing. Been meaning to try this place for years and finally tried it for the first time today. I have to say, the experience was incredibly underwhelming. The Hostess/Server? who seated us was kind and sat us quickly. We sat for a bit before being greeted by our server who didn't give us their name. We ordered a couple of hot Triune Lattes to start. We waited 5 minutes for waters we didn't order (which I ended up being thankful for) and another 10-15 minutes before anyone checked in on us or brought us our coffee. When the coffee was finally delivered it was slammed down in a fashion that splashed all over me and the table. The server then ran off immediately after. No napkins were brought after the spill and we just couldn't get their attention. It just felt like they were actively ignoring us. They didn't stay long enough at the table for us to even say anything, never even asking if we needed anything else. Not only did it take the coffee that long to get to us, the portions, taste (of the same Latte), and cleanliness of the cups varied. We had to send one coffee back to be remade due to the lipstick type substance on the cup. Which took another 5-10 minutes. We got our biscuit basket at about the same time as the coffee. The biscuits are delicious! The server didn't come back around for a while to check in, so when they finally did, we just asked for the check. I will say, it's not the coffee, not the service, but the food. We only had the biscuits before deciding we were through having that frustrating experience. I'd definitely try this place again but perhaps a different location or even just takeout. Look, I have a career in this industry, I'm understanding, I'm patient. It's rare that I cut an experience short like this, but when I'd rather just pay for my drinks and appetizer, as opposed to staying for an entree or even dessert it's just not going well. I ordered the Eureka breakfast sandwich and unfortunately found a hair in my food. The kitchen brought out a replacement sandwich, but there was a second hair on that plate as well. At no point did a manager come to the table, and our server handled the situation very poorly. There was no apology, no follow-up, and no effort to check on us afterward. As a server myself, I understand that mistakes happen, but there is a correct and professional way to handle situations like this, and this was not it.
